Kelli Anne Viloria was our daughter's attorney in a very difficult divorce and financial settlement. If you have been accused of something please do yourself a favor and at least have a consultation with Tom. It is overwhelming to go through this experience, particularly when you have never been accused of something in the past. From the first second I sat down with Tom, it was obvious that he truly cared about me, and I felt that I had an ally in my fight. For the rest of my life, I will never forget Tom and the compassion he showed me. He inspires me and restores my faith in humanity. I have never experienced such kindness and generosity from a stranger before in my entire life. I only wish I could repay him in some way. This review is the least that I could do. We recently updated our estate documents with Laury Macauley, Esq. We have had trusts for over four decades and have worked with a number of attorneys over the years. After moving to Reno Nevada, a community property state, we needed an update. We contacted a number of estate attorneys. Almost all had 60+ page boiler plate trust templates into which they inserted relevant individualized information but most of these bloated documents had information that does not and never will be relevant to us. Such large trusts are cumbersome and inefficient since during settlement, parties must read everything to be sure something important is not missed. We wanted a more personalized straightforward trust which eliminated all the bloat, unnecessary legal jargon, generation skipping wording, minor dependents, dependent trusts, etc. etc.
Laury agreed to work with us to accomplish what we wanted…estate documents relevant to our situation written in a straightforward manner. In the end our very comprehensive trust is 22 pages long. We found her to be bright, helpful, knowledgeable and ethical. She was among a very few lawyers willing to help us create what WE wanted rather than something off the shelf. This took extra time so the process did extend over 2 months but we are extremely pleased. We would definitely recommend Ms. Macauley without reservation to others.

Ms. Jacobson became involved in my case within 4 days of a serious car accident. She immediately handled the issue of my totaled car on which I still had a loan. She not only asked questions but she encouraged my participation and always returned calls and answered every question and concerns. As if my Grandmother dying wasn’t hard enough on me and my family, I then had to deal with the horrible experience of probate. I was fortunate my grandmother was adamant I use her lawyer JK Nelson for the probate. Attorney Nelson and his team were compassionate and patient as they guided us through the months long process. They were able to respond to my questions and/or concerns same day if not immediately. What was most important to me was Attorney Nelson’s stoic demeanor whenever there was a stressful situation with our probate. And there were plenty. I was referred to Mrs. Dawson by a separate party as a good fit to my child custody/ relocation case so I hired her on the spot and I’m glad I did. Not only did she win my case and got me everything I asked for, but she did it with the utmost integrity and professionalism. I should added a review years ago this man is older he does his job and he will take care of you he took me and my brother's inheritance case when nobody else would our case was very complicated and we were very poor and he guided us through the process and took care of everything even though there was complications and problems they always call you back and they explain the process this lawyer is worth your time and they are very much worth going through for probate. My "issues" with the IRS dated back to 2001...during that 17 year period I must have spent $30,000 dollars in attorney fees in my efforts to resolve it....all they accomplished was temporary "fixes" that resulted in more aggressive actions from the IRS...just when I gave up all hope I was referred to the Randolph Law firm....he, personally, guaranteed to end this nightmare within a year and with the help of his amazing staff, thank you, Christina, it was finally done. When my father began losing his health, it was a very stressful and sad situation. My father was no longer able to make decisions based on his illness. One of my friends told me that I would need to become his legal guardian so that I could begin to make decisions for him. When I was hurt on the job, I didn't know what to do. I immediately thought that my injuries would heal quickly and I would be able to continue at work. I took a half day and thought I would be back to normal the next day. I didn't think I had a case because I made myself feel that it was my fault. I really try to make a point of leaving an honest review when I encounter businesses that go out of their way to accommodate their clients. Before retaining a lawyer and filing for divorce, many people warned me that lawyers were soulless, especially in Las Vegas, and only concerned with lining their pockets with my money. I was told horror story after horror story from people who've dealt with lawyers here in Vegas. Scary stuff! Fortunately, not only was this NOT my experience at all, but my interactions with McFarling Law Group was, in fact, the best experience with lawyers I have ever heard of!
McFarling Law Group is the absolute BEST law firm in Las Vegas, BOTH HANDS DOWN!! Not only are they determined to fight for you and win, but they actually care about the people they are fighting for.
I was divorcing a certifiable, textbook narcissist. When I first met with Emily McFarling, I was in a tight spot financially and could not pay her entire retainer. Emily gave me a significant discount so that I could secure McFarling Law Group as my counsel.
My ex-husband hid money and assets, got people to forge documents and falsify information, lied throughout the case and caused the case to be prolonged many times by not following the judge's orders and by not submitting requested, subpoenaed documentation. McFarling Law Group made sure to get judgments against him for this.
This case went on for years! This, along with circumstances due to the Covid pandemic, eventually drove me into bankruptcy. Although I owed several tens of thousands of dollars to McFarling Law Group, when I consulted with them about having to file bankruptcy, they supported me in doing so even though it meant that my bill for their services at the time would be totally discharged. They also further reassured me that I would not lose their counsel because of this and they were true to their word.
We finally ended up settling before the trial was to begin. One of the agreements in the settlement was for my ex-husband to pay them. Anything that was left over for me to pay, they completely wrote it off and cleared my entire balance!
They held my hand through years of litigation, stood beside me, and fought for me the entire time. I had a team of various lawyers and paralegals working on my case. There was not one time that I reached out to them and was not able to get a hold of them. The communication was great and they always updated me on any new occurrences involving my case.
I can not thank them enough for everything they've done for me. They were truly a godsend and I will NEVER forget the kindness they showed me, nor the fight and tenacity they exhibited throughout my entire case. I am grateful beyond words and from the bottom of my heart appreciate each and every person who worked on my case over the years. Peter James esq. has been my armor and shield against my narcissistic Borderline personality ex-wife saying anything she thinks might sway the judge including (I kid you not) that I treat our daughter like "a modern-day Cinderella" in her actual motion! Peter often cited cases of precedence from memory during consultation and always included these in his written and verbal arguments. He did not waste time with hearsay and stuck to referencing actual requisites of family law for the judge to weigh against whatever false or twisted half truth that (sadly in Nevada) must be taken as true unless evidence to the contrary is provided. The last thing a person needs to know in life is that they need an attorney. It is scary and stressful. When I called Patrick King, he helped me over the phone to resolve my issue. He never charged me for the phone advice and I think I called him 2 times about it. He told me how to construct a letter to send and he made me feel a lot better about the problem I was facing. I could have retained him as my attorney but he was trying to help me in any way he could so that I wouldn't have to.
