I can’t say Thank You enough to this law firm and Eric Winnert! We live approximately 5 hours from the office and Eric came to our home to get the much needed paperwork signed by my very ill spouse for a mesothelioma law suit. Poor man had to drive through the snow belt in February just to make sure we got what was needed before anything happened. Whenever I have questions and need to contact him, he is always there to give me answers. He has walked me step by step through every part of the process as my spouse was terminal and passed. Even when I haven’t bothered him in awhile, he will shoot me a text with any needed updates on our case! He’s very caring, empathetic , and personable with his clients and their family! No matter what we threw at him he always had a smile and a chuckle while maintaining his professionalism! Great Job Eric and I thank you from the bottom of my heart for what you have done and continue to do for me.

I became a client of Hurwitz Whitcher & Malloy in November of 2020 due to injuries I sustained transporting equipment to Work from Home during the pandemic on April 7, 2020. I already have a disability, born missing my left limb & no joint in my right thumb. After trying to fight compensation on my own, they consistently denied every procedure that was being requested to get me back to work, my doctor’s office suggested that I get a lawyer. I was referred Hurwitz Whitcher & Malloy by a friend. My first contact was Patricia Hagerty, my anxiety was so high that I couldn’t even complete a sentence. I felt crazy, scared & embarrassed. She took my information & said someone would get back to me. She also, assured me that everything would be ok, try to relax & not think about his. Karen Small handled my case & she kept me up to date on the process step by step. If there was something I did not understand, she would explain until I did. After hard work & dedication, delays, setbacks, we won July 2024. I had trouble getting my medications, so I spoke with Sam Firestein concerning this matter. Within an hour, the issues were resolved & he followed the next week up to make sure I received the medication as scheduled & that everything was ok. Kate Malloy handled Social Security on my behalf, job well-done. From my first encounter with your firm until today, I felt like the team cared. After firing my first TWO LAWYERS, I was finally relieved to have found Natalia. I had just escaped an abusive relationship and my ex decided he wanted to sue me for custody of our 1 yr old son.. (Even though he never showed any interest in being a father until I got the courage to leave him) He was incredibly skilled at playing the victim and I needed someone who was able to not only recognize this but to have the ability to present the truth to the judge. From our first consultation, I knew I finally found the right representation with Natalia. She was incredibly intelligent, attentive and perceptive. She helped me to navigate this nightmare with such professionalism and tenacity. After 2 1/2 years of litigation, the judge in fact saw that my ex dragged me to court under “self serving” purposes and awarded me Sole Legal AND Physical custody with permission to relocate out of state. This was a complex case and if not for Natalia’s wisdom and expertise, not to mention compassion, I don’t know where my son and I would be today. Lawyers are a dime a dozen but very few actually CARE about their clients. This is definitely what sets Natalia apart from all the rest. I highly recommend her if you find yourself in a contentious custody and/or divorce case. She will keep you grounded, focused and empowered with knowledge of applicable state laws.

Amazing. If you are thinking about making a big decision in your life financially, Mr. James J. Rufo is the lawyer to go to. Kristen Farris did an Outstanding job representing me when I needed to make a detrimental change to my existing Child Custody Order in Family Court, which involved a lot time pressing and sensitive issues. I had used Kristen a couple of years ago when she handled my divorce case that ended with an outcome that far exceeded my expectations, so it was imperative for me to have Kristen for a second time as my legal representation. Kristen was not only extremely knowledgeable, but was highly sensitive and conscientious to all my concerns. Kristen and Erika (Kristen’s paralegal) were always on top of everything. I have been a client of AnneMarie Lanni for some time now. She has been helping me work through many serious issues revolving around custody of my daughter. From day one, she has always been open, truthful, and communicative with me. I never once felt like she did not care or didn't have the time for my case. Communication has never been an issue. Whenever I needed to speak to her, she has always reached out to me if it was through the firm's portal, email, or by phone. She is extremely friendly and warm, which makes it so much easier to work with her. But do not let her friendly demeanor fool you. When it comes to presenting in court, she is a straight shooter and isn't easy to rattle. She is not the one to be pushed around and has always been on top of her game. She makes it known that my child and my concerns are her top priority. I have always felt comfortable entering a courtroom because of her. She comes prepared. She is very knowledgeable of family law, and it truly shows when she is standing in front of the judge while representing her client. She is fantastic, and I can not thank her enough for being in my corner during a very difficult time in my life. I would like to add that the office staff at the firm are all top notch. My experience here was horrible willing to take your money but don’t put in no work I had Brian first for my first court date then he got drop from me and I got Catherine the worst ever she showed no care for what I was going through due to the fact of me trying to get my son back home in Connecticut. It’s like she was working against me with the other party. I would email her and she takes for ever to respond I won’t get a respond until the next day if so. Then she try to tell me oh I should be glad dad didn’t put me on child support for my son because dad have temporary residential custody mean while dad is on child support and never paid a dollar since be been on child support now tell me how that make sense?. The front desk lady got upset with me when I wanted to change her and get somebody else who would actually care about my situation asking why I wanna change Cathrine as if they doing me a free job like I’m not paying these people my hard working money. Cathrine should no compassion to how I feel as a mother about my situation regarding my child. would I recommend anybody to this law firm HELL NOOOOOO!

Marc Weissman of Cobert, Haber & Haber has been wonderful! My husband died in 21 and left us with a mess! I can not say enough great things about Mrs. Lita “Pina”. From day one of reaching out to her with our first home purchase which did not go through as planned she was amazing, answered very quickly always available to answer our questions and needs. Even after the house fell through she was still amazing in helping us get our deposit back and then 1 yr later we reached back out to her for another home we found and still the same service. She is well known in the Dutchess county area which made our transactions even smoother. Definitely a lawyer with experience.. not a bad lawyer… just an awful human. Once understood there was no money just technically teamed up with opposition missing to communicate crucial information that I’m still struggling with the consequences. I had other lawyers after her, unfortunately ended up representing myself cause unable to sustain the legal fees till court assigned me one. Every lawyer I had after her did much better communicating and explaining the process. Overall I really picked her cause she was adhering to a plan my insurance was offering. If you are short on money keep shopping around.. she won’t do any good for you. It’s a joke people with these principals are supposed to represent justice.

Ms. Rayner was amazing! I couldn't have been more happy with the way things turned out due to the hard work by her and her team. I knew from day one i was in good hands. She is a shark and doesn't stop fighting for you until the job is done. If you need an lawyer she is it!!!!

Highly recommend. I was happy with the outcome of my divorce. The most important aspect throughout the process was maintaining a significant relationship with my children, and although my ex-spouse was fighting for sole custody, I was awarded joint custody, 50-50. Ms. Rayner fought to ensure I would maintain joint custody. The legal process was explained clearly to me, and I was kept informed every step of the way. Ms. Rayner listened carefully to my concerns and worked with me to achieve my goals. Communication was timely and professional, both from Ms. Rayner and her office. At trial, Ms. Rayner demonstrated excellent professionalism and skill. The legal fees were reasonable and in line with what one might expect. I would highly recommend Kim Rayner to anyone dealing with a divorce case.

I was going to court for a year & the D.A was not budging on my offer , Mr.Fox was assigned to me and got the whole case dismissed within two court dates , he communicated well and stayed on top of everyone involved . So thankful for him !

I hired Mr. Whiteman as counsel for my divorce case. From the onset of our working relationship, he was very professional, highly knowledgeable and a great advisor to a case that was made complicated as a result of the opposing party (my former husband). On numerous occasions, we needed to show firmness in our stance with the opposing party and Mr Whiteman was a strong advocate fighting for my rights consistently and fairly, yet still maintained the case as amicable as possible to avoid further legal complications and settle out of court. Mr Whiteman was very responsive to any questions or issues I had during the case, and explained thoroughly each step of the way. I appreciated him keeping me in the loop for any correspondence with opposing counsel. I would highly recommend Mr Whiteman for any legal matter that is handled by him.

I fired my high end /hotshot NYC attorneys and hired Martin Rosen 18 months into my divorce negotiations — and it was the best decision I ever made! I had been through the wringer - feeling like I wasn’t being heard by my legal team and with a nagging feeling of “This just can’t be right”. From our first meeting, Martin showed compassion and vowed to fight on my behalf and get me what was legally and morally right after a 16+ year marriage. He is a highly respected Westchester lawyer and this was obvious from the minute we stepped into the courthouse together. He knows the law inside and out, and his courtroom etiquette is superb. The settlement I got was far above and beyond what my original attorneys urged me to agree to — and if that wasn’t pleasing enough, I have also made a friend for life. Martin will have your back, he will treat you with kindness and respect, and he will fight for you both inside and outside the courtroom. He is a diamond in the rough.

Martin Rosen is an excellent attorney, one whom has been there for me throughout not only the worst times in my life, but for the times after. He is attentive, knowledgable, and usage of his services purveys one with a peace of mind that is not readily attainable with less qualified lawyers. He is direct and honest, but compassionate. If you tell Mr. Rosen the actual scenario, he will obtain the best result possible; if you are in a bad place, he will put you in a better one. He is not intimidated by snark nor malice. I have used his services for my own custody issues on multiple occasions and will continue to do so as long as his name rests over his awning. I have severe concerns regarding the recent one star review (Chris, 2024) and strongly take issue with his brazen mischaracterization of an individual whom has been there for me at my lowest as much as any professional could be asked to. I hope he gets the help he needs, but his review reads as untrue and glib. Though his flat attempts at slander, one can see a truly gauche (nay, entitled?) interior, and I simply cannot understand why someone who clearly never even used Mr. Rosen's services feels entitled to mischaracterize one's business (and thus livlihood) as they did in such a shameful and public manner. I would strongly urge any potential clients to ignore this individual's sentiments entirely.
