I hired Alexandra 14 years (6/17/2009), and paid in full and up front, to get divorce money issues done. I told her I wanted this done and over with ASAP. Now 14 years later, I still have nothing. Very very few phone calls, I've asked for acknowledgements of receiving things I have mailed to her, and get nothing. She can't be reached, for phone calls, I talk to who ever answers the phone. I ask her to pass on information, and tell her to have Alexandra to call me with some kind of updates. I get nothing! 14 years is absolutely a ridiculous amount of time for a court order to be awarded. Not sure what the next step will be, but I can say, I'm not waiting another 14 years. If you want something done quickly, I have to say, hire someone else. You could be going through the same nightmare! I called her office today, my guess would be I'm calling back on Monday. I was referred to Attorney Burkett through a friend. It was about my divorce. She is simply amazing! The second I met Alexandra, I gained a confidence like I never did before. All my fears and insecurities just vanished - no exaggeration. She is extremely smart, pleasant, personable, radiant and rubs her confident personality on you. I hired this law firm to represent me in my divorce. Initially, they gave me the impression that they were sincere. I paid a total of $7,000 and all they did was to purchase an index number in the court and serve my husband with a summons but the summons was never filed with the court. The $7,000 was used up in phone calls and then they kept asking for more money. I terminated the contract with them. I realized that they are all about money and that they have no integrity.

I believe a higher power directed me into the hands of Jennifer Lippmann as I was a naive, innocent 30 year old woman who had never seen a courtroom or even knew their were people aka lawyers that could not only “win” your case but essential to getting your life back on track. I was so naive that a lawyer was a lawyer…. If I had done nothing wrong and had nothing to hide , I shouldn’t have to search high and low for a way out of my short lived, highly volatile marriage. Thank god the first lawyer I called who I found via Google search bar by entering “lawyers near me” didn’t just see dollar signs or a new case, she heard my voice, listened to my story and honestly told me she she wasn’t the type of lawyer my situation needed, and kindly referred me to Powers Law specifically Jennifer Lippmann. I was a little confused but grateful for any guidance. The day I called Powers Law was when I decided to also Google 2020 cheating apps and downloaded about 6, finding my husband by his cell phone number on every one. I’d known for months something was different and wrong but couldn’t get an answer. After I messaged him on one, he came home from work early, entered our apartment, grabbed a pair of jeans and a shirt and left without a word. I was working remotely and we had a 6 month old son. I remember being so confused because I didn’t even flip out like I should have. I actually said their is obviously your unhappy with, let’s try therapy but he told me I was a “mentally ill, drug addict” and he never wanted me to begin with. I remember I transferred like $400 of our money into a savings account because he had previously kept his paycheck from our account when we’d get into an argument knowing I’d have no choice but to forgive him when we had no money. He told me I stole money from him and I would be penalized when the time came. I called the number of the lawyer i was referred to and I’ll never forget getting a man (John Powers) who spoke to me for 30 minutes reassuring me I absolutely did not steal money, it was our own account and I remember him saying “if he is already pulling this crap, I assure you that you have called the right place” and informed me on important decisions i should immediately make for my safety and my childs & arranged an appointment with Jen a few days later. Ironically that weekend after I met her , I had to call 911 over a domestic incident and before i was even a client John has called me back as did Jen who specified how important it was that I take my child and myself and I go to my parents (which I naively thought was illegal) because of the threats and fears my husband had filled my head with. Once I had this team on my side, my life slowly turned around and in the beginning it felt like my life would never be okay again. Their were accusations of my husband leaving our child in an unattended car for an unsafe period of time, women sneaking into our apartment while I was in the hospital after a car accident, almost a dozen verbal and domestic incidents and even a CPS investigation. I remember feeling so helpless at one point, I just wanted to give him what he wanted to stop the torture but that would mean my son and that was not an option. Jen has been a powerhouse of strength, smarts and just human morality within such a tumultuous series of events. Today, although my case isn’t over I can tell you my husband has zero control over my life when a year ago he controlled the whole thing. She has put safety measures into place and been the voice i didnt have for myself, but grew when my son was born. She knows every answer to every question the judge asks and it’s exactly how I would respond. She doesn’t just people please me through my case but is honest and fair and i am never surprised with any outcome because of this. I made a choice to marry a man who lived a whole life I never knew existed until I had to. At a time where trust was the most confusing word in the dictionary, I hired Jen & relearned it

Rachel was amazing (In one word!) Extremely responsive, professional, knowledgeable and tough. I never won a case in family court before I retained her for my most recent case. She knew how to navigate negotiations with opposing counsel and when we didn’t come to terms we were comfortable with, knew to not give in and be comfortable with the fact that we had a strong argument to present. (She was right). Very pleased with her and her staff!

Mr. Gabriele has been my lawyer when I first became a widow. Helping guide me with my tasks and plan my future wishes. He supported me with the loss of my mother and helped my son with a family will matter. I recently had him as my real estate lawyer with the sale of my childhood home . Emotional as it was for me; he was not only my lawyer, but he was family . He delivered on all matters of my closing . Mr. Gabriele, (Nick, as we were quickly on a first-name basis) saved me $2,500 upon my first visit with him. As we were initially consulting, I took a phone call from my realtor who informed me that the sellers of a home I desperately wanted needed me to come up on my bid. A bit panicky, I blurted out , "Okay, $5,000". Nick said to me, "No. Offer $2,500", so I did. My bid was accepted! Nick had my back throughout the entire process, both selling my old home and purchasing my new home. He kept me informed every step of the way. Should I require an attorney in the future, I will, without hesitation, call Nick Gabriele--a pleasure to work with!

If I could I would not even give one star. This attorney was recommended to me by my neighbor who has used her in the past. I had initially gone in for myself looking for a divorce attorney. A fee for retainer was set but this attorney only works with cash payments. I dont know many people who have thousands of dollars in cash lying around. I certainly do not and so I could not retain her at this point in time. My son needed an attorney to help him handle an issue regarding his drivers license. We sat with her again and while she was initially very helpful in the consult we have not been able to communicate with her since. Her retainer was agreed on as $500 at the time of the appointment but she didnt want any money at that time. When my son called back he was told the retainer would now be $750. Since that day both myself and my son have called no less than 6 different times over a two or 3 week period to try and speak directly with this attorney. She has never returned either of our calls. I consider this very bad business and so will not be doing business with her at all.

The Poppalardo Law group You never think one day you’ll need to go through the process of fighting for custody of your children. Unfortunately that day came me. I found myself in a love-less relationship with an unfaithful partner who I shared 2 beautiful children with. I felt helpless because you always think the law favors the mother in most cases. Being an extremely involved father who coached and was very active in my children’s life, I knew I didn’t want to be the typical every-other-weekend warrior father, I had to fight for my children. I was referred to The Pappalardo Law group from a friend of a friend who was also an attorney in Connecticut. She was very confident that this was the best Law Firm for my situation. I reluctantly made the call and set up the appointment. Turned out to be one of the best most important decisions I’ve ever made. John Pappalardo assigned his associate Sam to my my case and from day one they both worked tirelessly to understand our circumstances and put together an amazing case to present to the court. It was a long stressful road but being able to be in my children’s life on a day to day basis made the tough journey worth it. Sam was an amazing partner through all of this even going on maternity leave, having a baby and still returning to my case to close it out. She was extremely attentive and the communication always made me feel like I was a priority. Nobody ever wants to go through this process in life but if you find yourself in a situation where you’re fighting to keep your children in your life, I would Highly recommend reaching out and putting your trust in The Poppalardo Law Group.

I had a great experience with Bryn Lovejoy-Grinnell as my divorce attorney. She has a vast knowledge of divorce & family law, along with related items that are directly affected by a divorce such as real estate, savings, retirement, etc. She always responded to emails and calls quickly. That included responses to multiple emails or messages from me on the same day. She was always up front with me and told me her honest legal opinion (not just what I wanted to hear). I appreciated that much more than the used auto sales pitch that some other attorneys gave me during consultations. With that said, she will still fight for whatever you want. I ended up getting a very good deal for myself and avoided going to court. I would certainly hire her again.

This lady represented me in 2008 and advised me to pled to a deportable crime without making me aware of the immigration consequences!!!! She doesn’t work with an immigration lawyer to help her clients however she is a ex DA that stills help poor immigrants to plea to deportable offenses!!!! She will then say she advised you of the immigration repercussions when that would not have been the case!! You lady are a part of the system of deportation and imprisonment.

I am at the beginning stages of working with Yvonne Garbett, and I am so incredibly thankful I found her. My custody case is very complex with a lot of variables, and is definitely not a “run of the mill” scenario. Due to the situation, I specifically sought out someone with criminal and family law experience. I’ve spoken to several lawyers over the last few years, and not a single one of them seemed to grasp the gravity of my case the way Yvonne did. She told me all the things I wanted to hear, and all of the things I didn’t want to hear about the possible outcomes of my case and the direction it could go. I will update this review when I am at the “end” of my case, but if you are looking for a lawyer with expertise, compassion, and an understanding of personality types and behavioral patterns - do not look any further. I am so thankful I found someone I can trust. Highly recommend.

To put it plainly, Ms. Garbett kept me out of jail when the judges thought otherwise. Her fees are reasonable, she responds to all communication and gives clients sense of confidence in courtroom…which I believe all good lawyers should. Would highly recommend.

I went to Alfred Polizzotto Esq. for an estate matter involving litigation, 2 complex real estate transactions which involved a lot of money numbers that changed as bills were paid out on the real estate. The first day I went in to his office I felt comforted that the complex issues could be resolved with his calmness in handling and creating excel spread sheets to organize the 2 real estate transactions, private mortgage money, and bank accounts. He was extremely organized, great with computers, awesome in math, and extremely knowledgeable with the laws on all matters. He gave me a list of what documents to bring him. I had to Order 15 years of bank statements and checks. Once I gave him the copies. He put it all on to excel spread sheets. Then he called the estate attorney and told the attorney his demands for me. In the end everything Mr. Polizzotto asked for I received from the estate. Not one item did I lose because he knew how to litigate and apply real estate law and estate law to the facts at hand. I would not use any one else for law matters. He also worked Professionally with the opposing lawyer and the uncooperative executor. He’s a family oriented lawyer and treats such matters with delicacy and respect.

1. My wife and I are both over eighty. During the pandemic, instead of having us go to his office in Brooklyn, Mr. Polizzotto met with us close to our home on Long Island to discuss our case. 2. Mr. Polizzotto and his staff (Liz) always returned our email within twenty-four hours. 3. After we gathered all our original documents, we were not sure if we should mail to his office or hand deliver it. Mr. Polizzotto personally picked it up from our home, after a whole day's work and rush hour traffic in the dark! 4. When a clerical error was discovered in our application, Mr. Polizzotto redid the entire package himself! 5. Mr. Polizzotto always answered our questions with patience, clarity, reassurance, and in layman's terms so we could understand. 6. Mr. Polizzotto submitted our case on March 1st. It was approved by May 1st. Highly efficient! 7. It's been an unforgettable experience working with Mr. Polizzotto! He is truly a superior professional!

I hired Mr. Polizotto for assistance with elder law planning. It was clear that Mr. Polizzotto was intimately familiar with the nuances of this area of law. He knows how to structure a plan to ensure that the many interests of the client are well represented. He created a plan that included a trust to conserve assets and maximize tax advantages, aid in Medicaid qualification, and ensure favorable transfer of estate assets. Mr. Polizotto did not need to check the law when I had a question; he knew the law. I also hired Mr. Polizotto to assist with Medicaid hearings where the government was seeking to reduce benefits to a family member. We won the decision. In addition, I hired Mr. Polizotto in connection with the sale of a property. His real estate office is a well-oiled, efficient, professional machine. I highly recommend this seasoned lawyer.

I've had the best experience working with Michelle Nobile. I first consulted with her regarding a potential bankruptcy, as I own real estate and need to find the best way to deal with debt while also protecting my asset to the fullest extent possible. To give some background, my case involved – international divorce, kidnapping and international child custody. My priority had been to keep the family together at all personal cost and abuse. The sheer risk of the collateral damage if I were to speak out and take a stand seemed unbearable to me in terms of breaking the family, the trauma and debilitating effect it would bring to my kids. I had been going thru domestic abuse (I am a male) and had almost given hope that from history and precedents known to me made me believe that if I sought legal help it would be only be one way. With encouragement from family and friends when I eventually set out to seek legal counsel most attorneys seem to have an experimental take on the situation, it would be a learning exercise for them with me as a guinea pig. Some jumped up with a very high retainer promising to get my kids in an unbelievably quick time. They were simplifying the process for me, hiding the details and fine prints that I would have to deal with anyway. My case took over two years and I know a lot better now. Mr. Morley was my legal guide and in ways served as a therapist. He helped me on a day to day operational level when my case became very intense and at the more strategic level when I had to travel outside US to countries which were not part of the Hague convention. Mr. Morley’s network helped me connect to the right people in different parts of the world who helped me fight the custody battle from within US and from outside. From the very beginning of the case, he had an overall strategy that gave me the courage to stand up and keep going. I have interacted with many lawyers related to my situation now. There are times we need a specialist's consultation and times we need a good referral and sometimes we may need to park ourselves and the case in the ICU. Mr. Morley helped to provide for all of these situations and his support and guidance was invaluable – in fact it spoiled my expectations when dealing with other lawyers. Before I obtained the custody order my spouse slipped to another state with the child. With Mr. Morley's help I was able to chase her address and track my child and put her on the prevent departure program. It took a little over two years for my affairs to settle and to be able to restart life but these tiny victories helped in a long way, making me keep going. Today, I look forward to life with hope - my kids are with me, they all know his name and voice from the many hours I have spent with him, thanks again to Mr. Morley. Jeremy has been my lawyer for over 2 1/2 years. I read a previous comment about him overbilling and not being prepared and felt compelled to comment. I had an extremely difficult and complex case (and no, I am not wealthy parent). Jeremy has always been very honest in his billing with me and forthcoming and he was actually very reasonable compared to other lawyers I had to hire who charged me twice as much. He put together a game plan for me in my family custody issues/planning and today I would not be raising my child in a healthy environment had it not been for his counsel (gosh I may not even have my child with me). He is extremely competent and professional and if you hire him, you will have a formidable team for the other side to reckon with. To me, investing in my family like this was priceless and I cannot recommend him enough. And he is not the cheapest lawyer because he is the best in the world (he is considered an expert by all the US courts) at what he does and I would definitely say he is the best in the US too for family law in this area, and you get what you pay for. If you follow his advice, you will probably win.

Mr. Morley is an incredibly knowledgeable and bright attorney. I used him as an expert in a family law case to prove that California custody orders were not enforceable in Japan and the Court relied on his testimony to deny the opposing party's move away request. His website his also a phenomenal resource that I continue to use to this day.

Ok- consider this a ‘word of mouth’ recommendation: I received Ms. Aiello’s Name from another top-level attorney (who does not do family/divorce law) - I stopped mediation immediately as she saved me thousands of dollars for knowing what’s realistic and respectful to the other “aide” - she uses calm knowledge to counsel instead of emotional demands - she was outstanding in negotiating the final agreement - she knows the processes and systems well and doesn’t cut corners or some such silly things - she is highly (!) respected by the judges from what I saw and heard about her - remember when you engage and hire an attorney it’s a two way street: if you or the other side is not reasonable and reapectful - How can you expect a favorable outcome? Sounds like common sense but I have seen people trying to do a ‘“show of force -let alone ‘retribution’ “ - and everyone loses then. - Ms. Aiello is super transparent, knowledgeable and her team is equally professional - never heard any excuses - like other offices I have witnessed. Hope this helps a bit. I was totally or more than satisfied. Great recommendation!

They got me the emergency hearing for the restraining order against my boyfriend like on the next day. It was a great relief and now I can sleep in peace with my child. The attorney was also very patient with me when I had so many questions and the wait for the virtual hearing was bad in the morning. I had some doubts at first but it worths every dollar spent last minute.

Personally, I did not have as satisfactory of an experience than all of the people under these reviews. During my consultation, I was promised we were going to go as hard as we could to help me in my case to issue an order of protection against an ex boyfriend who was stalking and harassing me... the consultation went great, but after the hearings began, Sun Suh was not responsive at all, nor did she try to reassure me about my situation - just no sense of urgency. I was constantly under a cloud of anxiety, and she would always refer to the case as "your case". "There was never any moment where she made it feel like we were unified in fighting the case together. I would go a week following up with her several times via calls and emails with zero response until moments before our hearings - during our hearings she would come off very hesitant. I spent days and hours digging through photos, social media pages, text messages to compile for her and did not see any of that reflect during our hearings. I now have to revert back to living in fear - I am honestly very disappointed in this experience and truly felt like I could have defended myself better.
