I had the pleasure of hiring Billy on as my attorney for my divorce/custody case. I rather stupidly tried to represent myself in my divorce, and I seriously jacked it up. As if by divine intervention, my disastrously one-sided divorce judgment was delayed by a freak snow storm, and I hired Billy's firm to intercede on my behalf at the last possible moment. Within a reasonably quick period of time, Billy got everything sorted out and negotiated an agreement that was acceptable all around, and he was always very good about communicating and keeping me informed throughout the process. Hiring this lawyer made a big, positive difference in my life.

When I knew I needed to get a divorce, I went to him feeling confused, scared, and alone, not knowing what to do or even where to start. First Ill start by saying english is my second language and legal dictionary never been in my english studies. After saying that I would like to tell how William is patient and so smart in explaining legal issues in easy terms without changing the original meaning. He always explained to me all the pros and cons for any action he would take after having discussions of the matter. I cosulted him for an accident I did before, many immigration issues. Jeremy comes highly recommended. I researched multiple attorneys in Clark county and decided on Elizabeth Christy Law Firm because of the great reviews, and I'm glad I did. Jeremy was very quick, thorough, supportive, knowledgeable and responsive during this whole process. The process to which I'm referring is establishing a parenting plan and court ordered child support. The process took about 3 weeks, consultation to signed orders. I was represented by Yvana Mols in 2019 in my divorce proceedings, which culminated with a very reasonable Judgement on Jan, 9, 2020. Yvana was very efficient, knowledgeable, and always available to answer my questions. I was highly encouraged to engage Krista Mancuso pending a divorce with children involved. I was hesitant and discouraged to do so from opposing party. But I am so thankful I did! Our case was complicated due to key parties being difficult to reach. The dedication of Caitlin and the McLain Legal Services Team was exactly what was needed and ultimately our goal of becoming Third Party Custodians of our Grandson was achieved in 6 months. One of the terms on the website that caught our attention was "trauma informed". Managing emotions in a complicated case such as ours is not easy and we felt 100% comfortable with being transparent during this process and felt nothing but support. I just want to take a minute to write a review for this excellent attorney that works with another excellent group of people at McLain Legal. All too often in todays society we seem to lose sight of the people behind the scenes, people who day in and day out work their tail end off to get the job done and done well. Ms Easter is one of those people who just sit back quietly, often behind the scenes and rocks it every single time. This attorney had to jump in and actually go to court for an ex parte matter when my actual attorney was out on vacation. The matter required immediate attention and representation and Ms Easter did that without hesitation. In the end, we lost the argument/that battle, but the war continues. It should be noted that despite losing that motion, I still feel compelled to write this review and let everyone in Portland know how great of an attorney Ms Easter is. She is very knowledgeable, very firm, understanding, compassionate, and she is an advocate for McLain Legal clients without fail. Simply put, she is “The Very Best” at what she does. When my years-long battle in family court was over, there was a huge mess to clean up. An appeal was filed by opposition; a totally specious contempt was filed by opposition, several rounds of negotiation and filings and frustration and hair pulling and the kids there in the middle of it. My very capable but very pugilistic trial attorney recommended that I use someone who had the ability to reach compromise more readily with the opposing legal team, who were understandably tired of dealing with him. Fortunately, he had someone in mind.
Enter Caitlin Easter.
Caitlin is a delightful person, which could distract you from what a fantastic lawyer she is. She is thorough, she is detail oriented, and she's a fantastic communicator with an excellent command of the law. She manages to maintain a healthy skepticism without being cynical, which is hugely refreshing, especially as legal fatigue starts to set in. She is a fighter with a gentle disposition, and she cares about the kids involved above everything else.
I could not be happier with the outcome of her services. We are now at about the year mark after our last major interaction and it's a whole new world. My kids are happy and see both parents regularly; both parents have laid down their swords and are moving on with their lives. It's night and day. If things change though... she's my first call.

This women not only believed me but proved it. I was beyond traumatized by what had happened to me- not only when she came and got me out of jail she already had an appointment set up for me with a PTSD doctor- one of the best in his field and took me straight there. My wife of 10 years decided to leave me for another man after I was hospitalized due to a manic bi-polar episode. Needless to say, life was extremely hard for me to deal with.

Allison Kamilos was my wonderful lawyer. I cannot fully express my gratitude, in what was an out of the ordinary divorce case. Filled with ridiculously absurd claims from my ex and complex issues that were atypical. There were emails where Allison and I were like "wtf, seriously?"

Edward was very informative from the start, he told me what to focus on and the 4 or 5 things that I needed to pay close attention to. This allowed me to sleep well at night knowing that he would take care of the business at hand. He seemed to work well with the opposing counsel and was very fair and reasonable . Alex is professional, knowledgable and personal. Considering that divorced family dynamics can be a bit challenging at times, Alex was able to keep things in perspective in a constantly changing family dynamic and she often noticed things that I did not see being so wrapped up in the difficulty; because of this, she was able to help guide the process along with efficiency, capability, knowledge and understanding. Marissa helped me with the last (I hope) of a series of many family / parenting plan matters that Easley Law represented me on throughout the years.
Marissa quickly got up to speed on my case, the scope of the matter at hand, and the nuances and challenges with the opposing party.
Marissa provided solutions and counsel with creativity and realistic approaches with great competence. She managed opposing counsel with respect and collegiality, yet very adeptly and assertively on my case's behalf.
I also appreciate that Marissa was humble enough to research matters to ensure she had the latest and best information. My case included some uniqueness that required some extra research, and her assessment and subsequent strategy was right on, leaving opposing counsel's client without loopholes that were not in our child's best interest.

When my mother was diagnosed with cancer and scheduled for stem cell transplant, she had to face the reality that she may not survive. Among other things, her will needed to be updated, an advanced directive put into place, power of attorney transferred to me, and guardianship for her developmentally delayed sister changed. I have used Ralph for several civil cases where I was seeking damages. I was very pleased by Ralphs results and professionalism and his ability to communicate on a personal level . Some lawyers spend very little time learning about there client or actually hearing what a client says but not Ralph . Jordan is amazing at what he does. He's very cool headed and does a great job removing emotions from the equation while focusing on the facts and presenting them in a way that will be received well in the court room. He got me through a parenting time enforcement and two separate parenting modifications over the course of my military career. He did a phenomenal job highlighting that I was a highly involved, loving and caring father in spite of my occupation creating distance between me and the kids and a very resentful ex spouse who actively tried to limit my access to our children. Each time he was able to come away with a favorable outcome. He was even able to overcome a parenting time evaluators recommendation and help me win equal access parenting once my time in service ended and I was able to move back to the area.
