I had an unusual and challenging case. Lance was referred by a friend and I was impressed by his insightful intelligence. After interviewing attorneys for assistance in my very serious and distressing situation, I was beginning to feel helpless. I felt some firms presented their services resembling a “used car sales” and others who didn’t provide much information until they received a retainer. When I met with Amy, right of the bat she actively listened to the complicated details of my case, was frank and extremely knowledgeable about the laws involved. I contacted Mr. Galm about a car accident. He called me back to sort out if we really needed his services and spoke with me by telephone for 20 mnutes. He explained the way the laws would work in our situation and what he would expect to happen. In a situation which had caused a great deal of anxiety for our family, he was able to ease our minds in minutes. We ended up concluding we would not need his help with this situation, but if I ever need a lawyer again for this kind of problem, he will be the one we contact!

Paul went above and beyond for us after my husband was injured in an accident. He was thorough, attentive to all aspects of the case, and kept us informed of all of our options. He brought in experts and carefully examined who was responsible for the accident. What I really appreciated was when other lawyers would have given up, Paul continued to fight for us. We would seek Paul's counsel again if we needed legal representation.

Clayton Tullos gives one exactly what is needed in the courtroom...an experienced litigator who is quick thinking and a powerful advocate. I write this review with the status of my case still pending, but I wouldn't change it regardless of the outcome. Clayton did a skilled job passionately advocating for my daughter and her rights as a person in a difficult custody case. Clayton was willing to work with me on what I could afford, and was efficient in selecting relevant evidence and resources for trial. Most importantly, Clayton cared as a human being and this was evident in his argument. Clayton isn't the best layer for everyone, but he is a skilled litigator, was honest through the process, and he cared, which is the most one can ask for of an attorney. Highest recommendation.

I refer to Mary as a God send. My daughter's mom moved out of state and cut off communication. I hadn't spoken or seen my daughter in 4 years! I can't say enough about Grant Cook, representing me in two different cases. In two separate courts. One case against a landlord. The other a family court matter. I found him to be thorough and an excellent communicator. Kept me in the loop with information as he received it. He spoke in a way that gave me a clearer understanding of the laws as they pertained to my cases. I know it can be frustrating for some who hire other representation and feel out of the loop or spoken down to. Not so with Grant. He does an excellent job of focusing on what is most important in a case and kept me at ease. I was very pleased with the outcomes of my cases. Very sharp, trustworthy, and caring. I can't imagine being represented by anyone else.

Root, and her Gevurtz Menashe team (Associate Attorney Tracy Connor and Legal Assistants Linda and Marie) for their collective expertise, efforts, professionalism, patience, and understanding throughout their work on my legal case.
It had been both confusing and stressful over the years, as I had initially attempted to get legal help to resolve problems in the original paperwork from other legal counsel, with no luck. In a final attempt, I feel very fortunate to have found and received the legal help and guidance from Ms. Root and her team. We worked through several challenging obstacles, explaining legal terms and steps required along the way, and then ultimately receiving the required military calculation information for final negotiations and terms of the final documents. The goal was to file clarifying divorce military benefits paperwork, for the outcome of a revised court order to receive these benefits. After much effort by all, we received this new court order.
In the beginning, I also stated that I wanted a first priority placed on keeping my kids out of the entire process, out of respect and sensitivity for them, as they should not be caught in the middle of this situation. Again, Ms. Root and her team responded with compassion and understanding for my request, and we proceeded with that in mind. Throughout the entire process, I felt like I was respected and given full support. For the first time, I felt as though I could trust that my legal counsel had the shared desire, and professional expertise, to achieve our goal, and be successful. Kathy Root was the stable behind my dramatic divorce 13 years ago/ which is still proceeding with other issues to this day. Jim did an exemplary job working in my defense on a protection order. He understands that there are two sides to every story and that when dealing with people there can be emotions and accusatory language confusing a legal system that generally lacks accountability when placed in a compromising scenario. Chelsea Armstrong came highly recommended related to a matter of my wife being owed an unpaid judgment. In an effort to evade payment, the person that owed the judgement resorted to legally harassing us instead. Chelsea stepped in immediately, was proactive, communicated extremely well, was rock solid on follow-through, was highly accurate in her work and legal assessment, took up the matter in a hearing that she initiated, and was very effective in shutting down the nonsense. I could not have asked for more. I highly recommend Chelsea and will no doubt be seeking her good help again.

Chelsea is compassionate and empathetic to parents in custody battles. She looks at the individual circumstances of each divorce and knows when it is appropriate to ask for more or less than the default parenting plan. She has a calm demeanor that is so necessary during a stressful divorce. She really listens to her client’s concerns. She is highly experienced and smart. I would choose Chelsea 100 times over to represent me and my child. She cares about children.

Chelsea Armstrong was my attorney for close to three years and in that time she helped me immensely. I went through a very nasty divorce that was fueled by a bitter ex. Along the entire process which eventually led to the Oregon Court of Appeals, Chelsea was great. She was very informative of our odds of winning at every stage. She was able to educate me on the case and give me great advice. At each junction I was the one making the ultimate decision with the help of her legal expertise.
Quite often in a bitter divorce case it feels so traumatic and devastating to your life, in that aspect Chelsea was outstanding as well. I would talk to her and every time would feel better, and if I just followed her directions and did as she said I would be fine in the end. My ex had an attorney that just tried to do everything the old school way which inflates the cost. Chelsea really tried to keep the costs down as much as possible by thinking outside the box. I truly believe that you are so much more than just a case number to her. In such a negative climate which divorce can be, Chelsea was the only bright spot and I would give her the highest recommendation possible. I also forgot to mention that we won at every level, and that she always out maneuvered the three attorneys that the ex used. I was so fortunate to have found Chelsea!

1) Had I followed Patty's advice, which was given calmly, was clear, cogent, and was salient, I would have achieved the results I wanted.

I really can't recommend Kelsea enough. She remained professional through some pretty frustrating and stressful litigation with my ex. Most of all I always felt confident that she was advocating for my wants and needs. I am disabled, my husband left me, after 32 years, because he didn't want a disabled wife. I was a hot mess, when I came to Kelsea. She could have told me no, I had to switch to her, with only weeks to go. She took me on, and, because she's in an office with other attorneys, it's like you get all their advice. Kelsea asked others in her firm, more experienced, to make sure all our info was correct. She was fantastic, I was falling apart at the end, and, she hung in there with me, helped me make decisions, get it settled out of court. I was so scared of being sick and alone, no money to live, as I can't work. Kelsea made sure I got the settlement I needed, so I would be OK. I got served again by my ex last night, he wants to terminate my support, and, life insurance he has to keep, with myself as beneficiary. I sent Kelsea an email, and, I have no doubt, she'll do as fantastic a job as before!

Mike has represented me and various family members of mine for a number of things over the last decade, starting with my divorce from my first husband in 2008. He has always given my family and I his honest opinion and assessment of our case, even when we don't like the answer we receive. It is easy to take things personally in the middle of your own legal matter, and he offers an outside perspective that often brings us back to center and helps us to evaluate the situation without all of the emotion. His honesty is also something that keeps our legal bill down as he won't pursue matters that, in the grand scheme of things, are frivolous, just to run up a bill. Before I met Matthew Holland, I probably had one of the most confusing and sloppy divorce cases due to a crazy ex-wife that wanted money, to see me suffer, and take away my son. Matthew was my 4th and final lawyer on this extremely difficult case. I have learned, when one is in a litigation battle, it is necessary that you have all facets in a lawyer and law office. It is extremely difficult to find an attorney that knows the law in and out. Mr. Holland is accurate, thorough, fast at filing paperwork, and can dominate in the courtroom if the case is forced to trial. This guy did it all. Matt won an extremely difficult case and dug me out of a MASSIVE hole when I met him. He gave me my son back and my life. I feel very fortunate to have come upon Matt Holland. I presented him with a complex employment contract with a medical group and hospital (25 pages worth of legalese), and he went through them point-by-point with me the very next day. He explained everything clearly, pointed out the 'draconian' parts, and reassured me that as a whole it was a fair contract. He charged less than average and yet I am sure my contract was reviewed with more care and close attention than it would have been at some big law place. Plus Matt was flexible about timing, and was willing to review the contract with me partly over the phone and partly at his office, even though it was late in the day. I looked him up on Yelp, and read his philosophy about law, and I must say, I am impressed by his professionalism and purpose. It's not every day you meet a lawyer who genuinely believes in the law and uses his training for good. This is not your stereotypical greedy or smarmy lawyer; this is a good guy. I hope I don't need an attorney in future, but if I do, I most certainly will return to Holland Law.

I went to a big party about a 12 months ago, and let's just say that I ended up in a bit of legal trouble on my drive home. I contacted Adam at the suggestion of a friend who used him before in a criminal case.
Adam met with me right away and gave me the rundown of all of my options. He was way organized, he even gave me a bunch of stuff to take home with me and read to help understand the law process a bit better. I had a total of 2 court appearances with him, and each time he was early, prepared, and at ease. I was so nervous coming going to court since I had never been before, but felt much better once he took control. I barely had to do anything.
When all was said and done, things played out exactly like Adam said they would. I can't say the process was fun, because it was not, but having Adam as my lawyer made things 1000x easier. I would definitely recommend him if you end up talking to a police officer after a bit touch (ahem) too much to drink.

After being badly burned by another lawyer, I came to Adam and Jill hurt and angry. They were quick to respond and were amazing at trying to fix what the other lawyer had screwed up for me. Unfortunately I found them a little too late and am stuck with a lot things in my divorce that should have been avoided with a trustworthy lawyer. I loved working with them.
