My wife of 10 years decided to leave me for another man after I was hospitalized due to a manic bi-polar episode. Needless to say, life was extremely hard for me to deal with.
I remember the moment I connected with Allison during her initial consultation. I had been talking to the usual stiff old white dudes all day, and then got the call from Allison. During the consult she was human... compassionate. I felt like I was talking to a friend or mentor; not some suit. And that's what I needed.
The divorce was rough on me, but she was there every step of the way with great legal counsel and warm concern for my well being. Allison Kamilos was my wonderful lawyer. I cannot fully express my gratitude, in what was an out of the ordinary divorce case. Filled with ridiculously absurd claims from my ex and complex issues that were atypical. There were emails where Allison and I were like "wtf, seriously?"
I was left in such a huge life change, having to start my life completely over with nothing after this divorce. Having Allison so confidently fight for me, I am eternally grateful for her. I was referred to Dan by another trusted attorney and thank goodness because I think it would be difficult to find the best just by going "to the phone book" aka online.
I've worked with Dan and his firm on a couple of family law occasions and he was highly responsive, professional, and overall very reasonable for the value provided. He didn't every abuse time or make you feel "on the clock" but rather worked efficiently to solve the issues at hand, and worked in a very good timeline for the results that I had hoped to accomplish. Any custody case can be difficult, but with a narcissist you will be in for one of the most painful, stressful and expensive rides of your life. I knew I needed the best. I chose Dan - after meeting with several attorneys - because he actively listened to my needs and wants and responded intelligently. He also didn’t just tell me what I wanted to hear. His view was informed and balanced. I knew, no matter how willing I was to compromise, I was in for a battle. I needed an attorney who would take the high road but would also be aggressive when need be. Dan is honest, seasoned and smart. I am extremely happy with my decision to work with him and with the job he has done representing me.
Dan zeroed in on the immediate significant issues for me and my small child, as well as the future I wanted to build for us. After many years of squabbling with a narcissist and getting lost in crazy-making circles of disagreement with no resolution, I needed a plan in writing that we both agreed to. I got that and I was pleased with it. It took a lot of negotiation (because the other side created barriers) but in the end it was well worth it.
Dan also did an excellent job of distinguishing the limits of the law. Many times he encouraged compromise where appropriate and he repeatedly encouraged me to only pursue what a judge would uphold. Throughout my case he was an advocate and helped me avoid court for some time. However, in the end, because of the other side, it was unavoidable. Dan was incredibly well prepared for the trial, and he did a phenomenal job. He argued fairly and intelligently; he is a quick thinker and he didn’t miss a beat. We were successful on every single issue. This outcome makes an enormous impact on my child’s life. I would definitely want to work with him in the future and I have already recommended him to friends and colleagues.
Dan has decades of experience. He is also empathetic and has fair billing practices. Top-notch professional and decent human.

I'm not writing this review after realizing how grateful and fortunate I am now that my legal crisis has finally ended. I am writing to give the sincerest appreciation I can for the tireless efforts given by Dan Margolin and his entire staff for defending me against the most hostile, untrue, dishonest, calculating and devious attacks that anyone should ever have to be exposed to in one lifetime, and I am not exaggerating. I have never met anyone with such legal acuity and intensity when called upon than from Dan Margolin. I was frequently surprised and honored as I witnessed his tangible defensive responses against opposing council at each turn. Art stepped into my case on the fly from another attorney who didn't want to finish the job. He handled that issue well, and has worked diligently on my other responsibilities. I have a long time Guardianship and Conservancy over a family member that has been challenging. He listens well and is compassionate.Knowing this could be a longterm association I feel very confident he will do his best for me. In this process I have had to deal with about four other attorneys and I would not want a longterm contract with a single one of them. They have been either rude, dismissive, arrogant or inept. Mr. Fowler is a refreshing difference from all that.

We have consulted with Ed and have found him and his staff to always be very professional and knowledgeable. Ed helped us write a contract for our electrical company so we complied with the new CCB regulations. Edward was very informative from the start, he told me what to focus on and the 4 or 5 things that I needed to pay close attention to. This allowed me to sleep well at night knowing that he would take care of the business at hand. He seemed to work well with the opposing counsel and was very fair and reasonable . Edward was always accessible and quick to return calls and kept me most informed all along the way. In a divorce there is never a good senario, no one wins, hopefully you can go on respectfully about your life and I feel Ed and his team was very concerned about the personal affect of all involved. After weeks of researching attorney's to guide me through this difficult chapter, I went with Laidlaw & Laidlaw and got connected to Casey Ward. What a blessing! Alex is professional, knowledgable and personal. Considering that divorced family dynamics can be a bit challenging at times, Alex was able to keep things in perspective in a constantly changing family dynamic and she often noticed things that I did not see being so wrapped up in the difficulty; because of this, she was able to help guide the process along with efficiency, capability, knowledge and understanding. I had an excellent experience with Alexandra Nowlin. I chose her after interviewing two other lawyers. She was very calm, kind, and very analytical. Marissa helped me with the last (I hope) of a series of many family / parenting plan matters that Easley Law represented me on throughout the years.
Marissa quickly got up to speed on my case, the scope of the matter at hand, and the nuances and challenges with the opposing party.
Marissa provided solutions and counsel with creativity and realistic approaches with great competence. She managed opposing counsel with respect and collegiality, yet very adeptly and assertively on my case's behalf.
I also appreciate that Marissa was humble enough to research matters to ensure she had the latest and best information. My case included some uniqueness that required some extra research, and her assessment and subsequent strategy was right on, leaving opposing counsel's client without loopholes that were not in our child's best interest.
Marissa's was assertive yet tactful, and I feel that she effectively led the process along without excessive costs or time, despite backups and delays on the opposing side and large court backlogs.
When needed, Marissa could handily, kindly, and respectfully explain things that became frustrating or not realistic to me, and kept the case moving as effectively as possible. In other words, she quickly and effectively brought me "back down to earth" when things became intense, as it sometimes does in this process.

Mary Biel is the bomb. She helped me and believed in me when nibody was there for me. She has a very kind heart and has a very spunky and eclectic personality. When my mother was diagnosed with cancer and scheduled for stem cell transplant, she had to face the reality that she may not survive. Among other things, her will needed to be updated, an advanced directive put into place, power of attorney transferred to me, and guardianship for her developmentally delayed sister changed. Bob got on board immediately and created all the documents my mother needed. He showed great patience with my anxious mother and brought her peace during a stressful time. I was injured in a slip and fall case back in 2014. When the insurance company would not quit harassing me, I decided I needed an attorney. I live in Seattle, so I started there. I called every attorney that was also licensed in Oregon (the accident happened in Oregon). I must have spoken to at least 15 attorneys who laughed me off because it was a slip and fall. They didn't want to hear about it, even when I knew they didn't have to prove liability, just damages.
Some attorney in Oregon referred me to Jose. He listened to me, heard me tell him how liability was already clear and that damages was the only issue that needed to be resolved. Because of this, I got a settlement that was more than any slip and fall that I had ever seen. In fact, I have never seen a slip and fall win. If you have a case that you think will never be won, call Jose, and tell him that Terry sent you.

Jose was excellent in handling my auto accident case. He was very knowledgeable and personable throughout the process, and was always available to answer questions and help me navigate through the complex nature of my case. His team in the office was also stellar, and made the whole process go smooth. Karen Stenard has represented my daughter twice (1 Juvenile situation and currently a Family Court matter) and she goes all out for her clients to ensure that the rights of her clients are protected. Ms. Browning was part of my legal team in 2015 in a criminal defense case.
