After months of representing myself, I came to the realization that I needed an attorney after receiving a vicious, slanderous, prememorandum full of lies about my character, from the other parties attorney the night before my hearing. Jahn not only took my call at 10pm that night, but met me at 6am the following morning to better understand my case, and represented me that same morning at 9am. My case has not been an easy one, but Jahn prevailed, and got me 50/50 shared physical and legal custody, and also prevented the relocation of my children. Even after our favorable decision, the other party is not complying with the judges order, and Jahn is with us every step of the way, getting the other party to comply by going through the court system again. Mark has been an incredible lawyer. He always puts my kids first; when I am not sure what is best for them, he gently spells out the probable outcomes of all of the choices in front of me and almost always comes up with one or two others that I did not see. Mark gives me all the information I need to make decisions and points me in the direction he believes will be best, but he always makes sure to tell me that all decisions are mine to make in the end. One of my favorite things about Mark is that he urges me to grow in my dealings with court and with my ex. For example, he recently saved me over $600 by convincing me that I could successfully argue my case in front of the master without him. Obviously, this is in my best interest, not his. This is just one example of why Mark rates so high on the scale of trustworthiness. I would recommend Mark without hesitation. In fact, I would say that you would be foolish to choose another attorney.

I was arrested for two DUI’s a short time apart. The first lawyer I hired (not Kevin) was from one of several solicitations I received in the mail a short time after my arrests. Since I knew nothing about how this all really works, I decided that they were all probably pretty much the same, so I hired the lawyer that was closest to my home. He took my $1000 deposit, and showed up for both hearings, (which really didn’t take much preliminary work on his part). I was very concerned at this early juncture so I tried to reach him at his office several times before trial on either case and he didn’t return my calls until shortly before the first trial. When he did, he said he’s been very busy with cases that are more serious and asked why I was harassing his office, even though I had only called and left polite messages, at most twice a week, without a call back. Needless to say I knew I made a big mistake hiring this guy. So I kissed the $1000 goodbye and quickly looked for another lawyer.
Kevin was recommended to me by a relative who actually works for another lawyer. After talking with him on the phone for a short time, I had a good feeling about him so I decided to make an appointment and speak to him in person. I think I just gave him my name and case numbers, but before I arrived he had already familiarized himself with both cases. He explained everything to me in detail, and patiently answered all of my questions. Although I was, of course, still concerned with the possible pending consequences of the DUI’s, I left his office feeling confident that he was really going to do his best for me. I had been so worried about losing my driver’s license, jail time, criminal record, car insurance, job reputation, etc… I didn’t want to be concerned about my lawyer too. I do field service work so my driver’s license is critical to my livelihood. I came to the conclusion that I really needed to put full faith in my lawyer and let him do his job. With Kevin I felt I could do that, so I did.
Over that course of both cases and many trial appearances, I became even more confident that I had chosen the right lawyer. I discovered that Kevin really knew is way around the court room. He had a familiar rapport with the court officers and officials and knew the personality of each of the judges. He seemed to be well liked by them. He knew exactly how to make the system work for us, and to use a verse from an old Kenny Rogers song, “knew when to hold em, and when to fold em”. He was very versed in court procedures and legalese. He knew which of the legal maneuvers to use and at which time. He kept me completely informed throughout each of the trials and proceedings. Although I’m no expert in evaluating the way a trial goes, I was amazed at his expertise and subtle finesse.
When all was said and done, both of my cases were discharged! I knew I didn’t deserve jail time or to have my license suspended or any of the other consequences, including losing my job, that would have come with a guilty verdict, and Kevin did everything right to assure that didn’t happen. I know he knows just how very grateful I am too, from my obvious joy at the outcome.

I was a first time offender who was looking at 3 felonys on a crime i didnt commit. Kevin Birley took my case and got the charges down to probation. Used Kevin for my boyfriends VOP hearing. It was a first time tech. violation for a DUI case. Not only did he get the detainer lifted and avoid further jail time, he was very upfront and honest. He did not give false hopes or make unrealistic expectations. Even for a simple VOP hearing, he put time and effort into the case and even followed up after the case to ensure he was released. He also has very reasonable prices. If you need a criminal lawyer, I would highly recommend Kevin.

When I retained Pollock Begg and Joe became my lawyer, I realized that there are attorneys who will respond to your calls, address your concerns and be an aggressive advocate on your behalf. Mr. Krevitz did an outstanding job inside the court room but most importantly was able to make not only myself but my family feel heard and understood outside the courtroom, especially my son. He understood our son’s concerns even as a minor and treated him with respect and sympathy. Mr. Krevitz took what I felt as a personal interest in my case and felt our lows and our highs. Doug really went above and beyond for me even before he took my case. I had contacted him about an old criminal case. The charges were supposed to be expunged following probation through the ARD program for first time offenders. He had to dig through paper archives and even went as far as contacting the director of the Probation department who was working there during that time.

I needed an attorney for a divorce proceeding and several years later, a child custody issue. Ms. Newman was very generous with her time in explaining to me the various steps that needed to be taken and in keeping me informed as to the progress of my legal issues. She was easily accessable by phone for a quick question, or if she was out of the office, she always returned calls promptly. Although my divorce took longer than I would have liked due to my ex-husband's refusal to cooperate in any way, Ms. Newman kept things moving forward. When issues cropped up after the divorce was finalized, she continued to be accessable and supportive as needed. Some years later, an emergency child custody issue arose. I hired Atty. Gordon to help me re-negotiate my divorce case. I came to him with an existing divorce agreement that was settled without representation. Needless to say he had his work cut out for him. He did a wonderful job of explaining where the issues were and where we had room to negotiate. I spoke to Mr. Hoffman in a consultation, unprepared and unpaid and yet it was utterly simple to get through to him twice and speak in details and care that even my current paid lawyer and other lawyers (with paid consultation) never showed! He showed extensive experience, genuinely caring attitude and even when he couldn't take my case for reasons pertaining to his current work and a possible conflict he gave me a very candid advise and a potential road map to follow! Where on earth do you find something like that? Most lawyers drain you emotionally and financially before turning you from a human into a case in their files and a number in their bank accounts, I understand it's a business and living to these lawyers so I never judge them on that but I would at least expect honesty to what they or their experience can do for me and the very minimal of care for myself and my family, nothing more (God forbid I ask for a bulldog in the courtroom that's like finding a unicorn!)
Mr. Hoffman doesn't advertise or run flashy marketing campaigns like other lawyers do so I was only able to find him throw a word of mouth, and how I wished I could retain him! He is a gem.

Had Chris still been with Rowe Law offices, I know we would have won my case and custody of my children. Not only did Rowe not inform me that Chris had left the practice, they waited until last minute to let me know and to get someone new caught up to speed. In the one pre trial Chris had assisted me with, we got to keep the house in the district where my kids go to school. So that was already a win in our favor. Once he left, it all fell apart. My new lawyer who represented me didn't spend 10 minutes defending me against my ex's accusations and spent 0 minutes attacking her and bringing anything to light. Rowe Law offices charges us about 15k and didn't do anything. I know if we had Chris, the way he was the first time I met him, he wouldn't have stood for how this case went down. If I could find him and afford to go back, Chris is the guy I would go with. Instead, I have 15k in debt and basically kids will have to relocate out of state after this school year and we will share 50/50 custody and my son's grandmother with whom his mom lives with was just arrested for biting my son, 2nd degree assault. Sounds like it be a cu and dry case but without Chris, I don't stand a shot. Really missed you Chris
