Not only did he accurately and concisely explain the process for starting a company in the state of Oregon, he also went above and beyond to ensure that I understood the various types of small businesses and relating legal protections thereof. Creating an LLC vs a DBA, the benefits of Company-to-Client Service Agreements, Trademark of Logos, and so forth were items that Triston patiently and competently explained to me in a polished, professional manner. He prepared a variety of legal documents and answered my questions without issue and is definitely a trustworthy and talented individual for it. Before I met Matthew Holland, I probably had one of the most confusing and sloppy divorce cases due to a crazy ex-wife that wanted money, to see me suffer, and take away my son. Matthew was my 4th and final lawyer on this extremely difficult case. I have learned, when one is in a litigation battle, it is necessary that you have all facets in a lawyer and law office. It is extremely difficult to find an attorney that knows the law in and out. Mr. Holland is accurate, thorough, fast at filing paperwork, and can dominate in the courtroom if the case is forced to trial. This guy did it all. Matt won an extremely difficult case and dug me out of a MASSIVE hole when I met him. He gave me my son back and my life. In addition to gaining my time with my son, Matt saved me from what could have been a substantial debt. It was super impressive to watch him work at his craft. He is an immense asset at Donahue law Firm in Bend Oregon. I owe a great thanks to Matthew Holland and his incredible paralegal Annalee Hoagland. I can't stress this enough; I highly recommend Matthew Holland as a divorce attorney. I also believe that Donahue Law Firm has taken the #1 spot in town for a pedigree law firm. I feel very fortunate to have come upon Matt Holland. I presented him with a complex employment contract with a medical group and hospital (25 pages worth of legalese), and he went through them point-by-point with me the very next day. He explained everything clearly, pointed out the 'draconian' parts, and reassured me that as a whole it was a fair contract. He charged less than average and yet I am sure my contract was reviewed with more care and close attention than it would have been at some big law place. Plus Matt was flexible about timing, and was willing to review the contract with me partly over the phone and partly at his office, even though it was late in the day. I looked him up on Yelp, and read his philosophy about law, and I must say, I am impressed by his professionalism and purpose. It's not every day you meet a lawyer who genuinely believes in the law and uses his training for good. This is not your stereotypical greedy or smarmy lawyer; this is a good guy. I hope I don't need an attorney in future, but if I do, I most certainly will return to Holland Law.

I hired Kevin Kelly In 2011 while I was enlisted in the military, stationed overseas, hadn’t seen my son in person for the better part of 2 years, and I was a single male at the time. Kevin always steered me in the right direction and warned me of all possible outcomes with my case. He always was straight forward and honest with me with everything, never leading me down a bad path once. I remember always getting off the phone with Kevin feeling a thousand times better knowing he was working his hardest for me. He always had my sons best interest in mind as well as mine. I went to a big party about a 12 months ago, and let's just say that I ended up in a bit of legal trouble on my drive home. I contacted Adam at the suggestion of a friend who used him before in a criminal case.
Adam met with me right away and gave me the rundown of all of my options. He was way organized, he even gave me a bunch of stuff to take home with me and read to help understand the law process a bit better. I had a total of 2 court appearances with him, and each time he was early, prepared, and at ease. I was so nervous coming going to court since I had never been before, but felt much better once he took control. I barely had to do anything.
When all was said and done, things played out exactly like Adam said they would. I can't say the process was fun, because it was not, but having Adam as my lawyer made things 1000x easier. I would definitely recommend him if you end up talking to a police officer after a bit touch (ahem) too much to drink.

After being badly burned by another lawyer, I came to Adam and Jill hurt and angry. They were quick to respond and were amazing at trying to fix what the other lawyer had screwed up for me. Unfortunately I found them a little too late and am stuck with a lot things in my divorce that should have been avoided with a trustworthy lawyer. I loved working with them. They were generous and kind and I feel almost that their amount of careful respect for me and my bad situation has made up for a lot of the upset I experienced with my previous one. When my boyfriend and I were being sued by his mother for third party visitation, we were scared and confused about our rights as parents. I rather stupidly tried to represent myself in my divorce, and I seriously jacked it up. As if by divine intervention, my disastrously one-sided divorce judgment was delayed by a freak snow storm, and I hired Billy's firm to intercede on my behalf at the last possible moment. After saying that I would like to tell how William is patient and so smart in explaining legal issues in easy terms without changing the original meaning. He always explained to me all the pros and cons for any action he would take after having discussions of the matter. I cosulted him for an accident I did before, many immigration issues. Jeremy comes highly recommended. I researched multiple attorneys in Clark county and decided on Elizabeth Christy Law Firm because of the great reviews, and I'm glad I did. Jeremy was very quick, thorough, supportive, knowledgeable and responsive during this whole process. Our case was complicated due to key parties being difficult to reach. The dedication of Caitlin and the McLain Legal Services Team was exactly what was needed and ultimately our goal of becoming Third Party Custodians of our Grandson was achieved in 6 months. One of the terms on the website that caught our attention was "trauma informed". I just want to take a minute to write a review for this excellent attorney that works with another excellent group of people at McLain Legal. All too often in todays society we seem to lose sight of the people behind the scenes, people who day in and day out work their tail end off to get the job done and done well. Ms Easter is one of those people who just sit back quietly, often behind the scenes and rocks it every single time. This attorney had to jump in and actually go to court for an ex parte matter when my actual attorney was out on vacation. The matter required immediate attention and representation and Ms Easter did that without hesitation. In the end, we lost the argument/that battle, but the war continues. It should be noted that despite losing that motion, I still feel compelled to write this review and let everyone in Portland know how great of an attorney Ms Easter is. When my years-long battle in family court was over, there was a huge mess to clean up. An appeal was filed by opposition; a totally specious contempt was filed by opposition, several rounds of negotiation and filings and frustration and hair pulling and the kids there in the middle of it. My very capable but very pugilistic trial attorney recommended that I use someone who had the ability to reach compromise more readily with the opposing legal team, who were understandably tired of dealing with him. Fortunately, he had someone in mind.
Enter Caitlin Easter.
Caitlin is a delightful person, which could distract you from what a fantastic lawyer she is. She is thorough, she is detail oriented, and she's a fantastic communicator with an excellent command of the law. She manages to maintain a healthy skepticism without being cynical, which is hugely refreshing, especially as legal fatigue starts to set in. She is a fighter with a gentle disposition, and she cares about the kids involved above everything else.
I could not be happier with the outcome of her services. We are now at about the year mark after our last major interaction and it's a whole new world. My kids are happy and see both parents regularly; both parents have laid down their swords and are moving on with their lives. It's night and day. If things change though... she's my first call.

My wife of 10 years decided to leave me for another man after I was hospitalized due to a manic bi-polar episode. Needless to say, life was extremely hard for me to deal with.

Alex is professional, knowledgable and personal. Considering that divorced family dynamics can be a bit challenging at times, Alex was able to keep things in perspective in a constantly changing family dynamic and she often noticed things that I did not see being so wrapped up in the difficulty; because of this, she was able to help guide the process along with efficiency, capability, knowledge and understanding. Marissa quickly got up to speed on my case, the scope of the matter at hand, and the nuances and challenges with the opposing party.
Marissa provided solutions and counsel with creativity and realistic approaches with great competence. She managed opposing counsel with respect and collegiality, yet very adeptly and assertively on my case's behalf.
I also appreciate that Marissa was humble enough to research matters to ensure she had the latest and best information. My case included some uniqueness that required some extra research, and her assessment and subsequent strategy was right on, leaving opposing counsel's client without loopholes that were not in our child's best interest.
