When I first realized it was time for me to get a lawyer… I was very nervous and skeptical of what to expect, and what I was paying for. Then I met Kathryn Fields at Elise Buie. Since day one, she has made me finally feel at ease. I have been taken advantage of and bullied by my ex-spouse and his girlfriend for far too long. I didn’t know the law, or my rights. I found Kathryn through a friend. I had already made several calls looking for an attorney to help me through what I was sure would be a difficult divorce. All the calls I made we met with “this is what we charge an hour” and then the touting of all their accomplishments. With Kathryn the first words I heard were of compassion for both myself and my children. In our first meeting she patiently and knowledgeably answered all of my questions and I trusted her almost immediately. The divorce went as expected and she kept me on track with both a sense of humor and by telling me the truth whether I wanted to hear it or not. It’s not something I would want to go through again, but if I do I know who to call.

Rosemarie took on my half-decided divorce when my previous attorney withdrew, realizing she was in over her head. Rosemarie picked up the pieces and moved things forward with skill, grace, efficiency and good humor. She was extremely organized. By being ahead of the game with documents and proposals, she out maneuvered the other side and they never even knew it. Everyone walked away happy, but I "won"!

Natalie took over our case from another lawyer in her firm who retired. It was a scary scenario for us, but Natalie jumped in like she’d been there the whole time. Our case file was over 1000 pages and very very complicated. She communicated clearly and LISTENED to our concerns to advocate for the best possible outcome. Even after our complicated custody case was finalized, it was followed by a relocation which Natalie navigated intelligently to ensure a smooth and uninterrupted move despite a very difficult ex attempting to use any excuse to delay the inevitable. Natalie really handled our case with care and we are very appreciative of her attentiveness and understanding. Hillary was transferred onto my divorce case 6 months in, and we were quickly able to build a trusted relationship that allowed me to feel safe, seen, and heard. My feelings were validated through the entire process and she held space for me as best as she could.
She able to advocated for me and fought her best with every conflict and road block along the way.
She is empathetic, she listens and she is honest. Hillary is secure in her confidence and worthiness to hold space at what she is good at. She holds her own.

Family law case here. I spoke with 4 different attorneys before coming here - wish I would have been here sooner. Jada Woods was my attorney. Not only was she professional and competent but she is invested in all of her client's cases. From the time I entered the building, my goals became their goals! My ex's attorney has 30 years in experience and Jada out-performed him at hearings and negotiations so she can hang with the best of them. She is a problem solver and hard worker. She answered my emails day or night and she alleviated my concerns by giving me the real deal. Jada Wood is a superb divorce attorney who fought hard for me. She is very level headed, not antagonistic and takes a very holistic approach to her work. She was my counselor, my conciliator and my friend when I needed one through what was the most difficult process I'd been through. I wanted to share that the experience I had with the view ridge law- more specifiacally with the attorny Elaina T. was far from well. I had to end my session with her early and request my money back. I paid her to help me and instead she spent time telling me why I couldnt get what I wanted and defending the other party. I also found out she did not read all the paperwork I sent in which she claimed was irrelevant to the case which was entirely unture. I was shocked at the lack of professionalism and care that was given to me. Our meeting was not recorded so I was not able to prove that way she was speaking to me to her superiors. The only positive that came from this was that the office did refund me my money. I lost out on a very timely situation due to their lack of attention.

David Kitchell was retained several years ago for a complex relocation case that spanned a lot of court activity, depositions, mediation, and arbitration sessions. David was prompt in his communication, did absolutely everything I expected and hoped for, and the outcome was in my favor. He is highly experienced and professionally firm in upholding our position. He has done an absolutely fantastic job at representing my point of view and that of my family. This case had a lot of curveballs but none posed a problem for David.
It was bitter-sweet asking Mr. Kitchell to withdraw as it has been a pleasure working with him (And his paralegal, Kim). Kim is an amazing paralegal that kept me up to date on everything, was prompt in getting things filed, copies issued, and when David was out for trials or otherwise unavailable, coordinated with partners to get prompt responses.
Not only do I highly recommend David, I have already referred a couple friends his way with custody matters. My only regret is that I hadn't hired him sooner, and instead went through several "high power" firms before landing on David.

Beware of bait and switch tactics used by this firm and Christopher Pitts. I recently was involved in a divorce/CIR settlement and, after a phone interview process, hired Christopher Pitts to represent me. I signed off on the agreement to have him represent me, and was immediately handed off to one of the firms more junior attorneys. No mention from the firm that I would not be working directly with Mr. Pitts, who I had hired. I asked why I wasn't talking directly to Mr Pitts, or ever hearing from him regarding my case, and was told that in the early stages it was less expensive to work with a more junior, less expensive attorney. However, this never changed. I never heard from Mr Pitts, not once, during the entire 6 month long process. Only that when I first heard from the more junior attorney, she told me she would be 'assisting' Mr. Pitts. Which would have been fine, if the person I had actually hired in the beginning, would have been the one I was truly being represented by during mediations and negotiations with the opposing counsel. I thought I was hiring the principal of the firm. I was not, and it ended up costing me pretty much everything I was fighting for.

Paid $3,500 for absolutely nothing accomplished! Lacked basic knowledge and failed to get it yet charged a fee for nothing but excuses. Charge for reading and sending every email, even though the staff were not well trained to explain important information. Cancelled twice at last minute and was always providing unencouraging depressing hopelessness. Finally dropped me for complaining. THIS IS THE TYPE OF ATTORNEY WE WERE ALL WARNED ABOUT! Complete waste of time and money.
