Most people heavily slant their ratings of attorneys for divorce and custody cases based on emotions tied to the outcome. Well, I was unhappy with the outcome of my case, but I am still giving a very strong endorsement to my attorney, Mr. Yale Lewis.
He always kept me informed, solicited my feedback and explained what he was going to do and why. His rational was always sound. He found a creative path forward during adequate cause that worked well. During the trial itself, he did a remarkable job of representing the situation as it happened and tying it to the law. He was able to point to the many holes in the opposing side’s portrayal of the situation. Before the judge’s verdict, I was very hopeful of the outcome. But as is often the case, the judge is the wildcard and brings in their own biases and interpretations of the law and weighs each piece of admitted evidence accordingly, often trying not to upset the apple cart. It is disappointing but understandable that they try to find every reason to keep the status quo.
So what did I like about Yale that wasn’t mentioned above? Honesty, integrity, directness, he invested in understanding my case, and was far more knowledgeable about my family dynamics then my previous attorney. Yale was unafraid to give me honest opinions to determine my path going forward. Yale built a good case and he presented it well, and that is the best I could hope for.

Yale Lewis is a wonderful human being. He's a rare man. His knowledge of tribal law is impressive. He's an awesome litigator. His phenomenal ability to foresee what's possible in your case and his ability to navigate that as best as possible is a gift. He's never going to let you down. Never. He's a one of a kind lawyer. I hired Laura to work collaboratively with me, my ex-husband and his (also collaboratively trained) lawyer. Both my ex and I are so pleased we did. Ours was a bit of an unusual case in that we wanted to divorce but also continue to own and operate two businesses together as well as to keep extended family relationships active. I learned of Laura by referral from a local mediator. In 2016 I began working with Laura to initiate my divorce and reached successful settlement in September 2017. Initially I thought I could fill out the court forms independently, but soon realized there were far too many questions for me to answer on my own. At that time, I chose to hire Laura with unbundled services, where I took the lead on filings and meeting my own deadlines.
Laura did a fantastic job asking the right questions (at the right time) to understand my case situation. From there, she provided me the correct forms to draft on my own, listed the supporting documents I needed to obtain, and helped me take the practical steps toward a temporary living situation. I was able to save a lot of money by gathering my own supporting documents and draft the court forms. She suggested helpful/necessary changes to my work, kept me organized, identified all the required steps, and provided helpful reminders.
Afterward, Laura and I have kept in touch regularly over the last 6 years as she answers questions I have from time to time. In 2021 I hired Laura again, but with full representation since I was busier at that time. Laura took the lead in my case and carried a lot of the work which I am very appreciative for. We worked together easily and successfully, reaching an agreed settlement in January 2022. I am very pleased with the outcome for everyone involved. My sense is that everyone enjoyed working with Laura, not just me, but officers of the Court and opposing counsel!

Admittedly I have no comparison to make as I’ve never been involved with any type of legal issues, but I will say this experience was highly disappointing.
After providing a binder full of documentation, photos, X-rays, and more documentation with little next to no contact (unless initiated by me) the waiting game began and continued until today when I received an email informing me they would not handle my case. This was after being told they would, with a full explanation of how things would proceed, the cost breakdown, and an agreement to not have contact in regards to this case with anyone outside of the Puget Law Group.
My first contact with Puget Law Group was in August of last year, 2023. All documentation, etc. was done by early December, treatment was completed in October and I was told they needed nothing more from me. That was nearly 9 months ago. Unbelievable at best considering nothing about this situation changed and to be given the most generic excuse is inexcusable.

Margaret and her paralegal are either sick. Their family is sick or they are out of time for long periods of time. They both have random phone numbers that they call you with one of them always says unknown. They want to meet with you for four hours at time to review things that have already been discussed at meetings prior. I have not had one invoice from Margaret Fitzpatrick that states where my $10,000 went. When I asked for an invoice, she said that they always send them on the first of the month. Why couldn’t she just send me an invoice at that time? Scary. I have been scammed. I received notice from my ex-husband‘s attorney that she is not representing me. I’ve tried to contact all of the telephone numbers that I have that came from Margaret or her paralegal. I have not received any response though she is my acting attorney for the next 13 days. I called their office and I was hung up on.. I placed a review not less than five minutes ago and it was taken off. I am definitely going to be seeking legal retribution and keep my review posted even if I have to continue to post it every two minutes. They claimed they have clear communication and empathy to relieve your fears and anxiety on their website, but that is the complete opposite from the truth. I beg you do not go here. You will be told to do a whole bunch of things that traditionally are needed but when you send these items via email, they will come back and say to you, they did not receive them. Margaret typically will say she did not receive them because her paralegal is sick. I was on the phone for three hours, explaining that I had already sent all the information she was saying I did not send. I resent the emails that I sent her while we were on the phone. When I looked back at my emails, they were proved to have been sent to her originally. I have all of my emails still and every single message from this office stating my facts above to be true. I hope you read this for your mental and physical health. Do not go here!!

We are contemplating a move back to Washington state where we lived for many years. Without proper estate planning we would potentially be subject to the Washington estate tax. n our initial contacts with the firm, we clearly identified that we were residents in another state. We were instructed to provide our detailed financial picture as well as our current estate planning documents which we provided promptly and told that our information would be forwarded to the attorneys for evaluation. The following is the email response.
“Thank you for filling out and returning your Questionnaire.
I will forward your information to our attorneys for review. Once they have completed their review, I will be back in touch with you regarding a quote for services and the next steps for scheduling.”
Well over a month went by with no word back from STIB. I finally contacted them by email requesting a status update. Within minutes, I received the following reply.
“Thank you very much for contacting our firm. Unfortunately, we are not able to take on your case. Our firm does not advise out-of-state residents on tax issues. Our focus is estate planning and long term care planning.”
The STIB website clearly tax issues as part of estate planning. I also found no restrictions on attorneys in Washington state providing consultation to out-of-state residents considering residency in Washington.
Needless to say, I was astounded by what I consider to extremely poor communication and timely follow-up. If it is indeed not their policy to advise out-of-state residents on tax issues, I would have expected to have been informed of that policy up front thus saving us the time of compiling and sending detailed and confidential financial and estate planning information. In my opinion, this represents incompetent and totally unprofessional behavior.

I believe someone working or has worked for this company has/was doing illegal activities. For an example, Shehana Buksh sent a Will and Testament to someone via email without thoroughly verifying if that individual was the correct person.

Dont be fooled by the Google reviews. I spoke with Rebecca King about my father with huntingtons disease.
Long story short - they only take clear cut cases after someone with an illness actually hurts someone. You have to wait until the person you love and are trying to protect actually does something you were trying to prevent.
And they charge 450 per hour only after its a clear cut win because your loved one is in legal trouble.
Do yourself a favor and find another lawyer that's willing to do the work to present a compelling case before shet hits the fan.
If you're looking to update an estate plan, revise or fill out some paperwork, and you have tons of money to spare - Rebecca King will be your huckleberry. If you need a lawyer - look elseware.

Words cannot adequately express how fortunate I feel to have found Nathan Cliber to handle my case. Nelson Boyd Attorneys represented me in a bicycle crash and did an excellent job. They are a caring, professional team, where I got the benefit of them both working on my case together. Each brought their individual strengths to my representation.
As much as a legal intervention is an inherently stressful undertaking, Nelson Boyd made the experience as low-stress as possible. They did this by being good listeners, providing assurances that they were fighting for me, providing prompt and excellent communications, and always doing what they said they would do.
My suit was settled satisfactorily (they worked on contingency) prior to reaching court, which was preferable since it took nearly two years to get to that point-- though not due to any fault of Nelson Boyd. Going to court would likely have taken another six months or longer. My case involved personal injury and I would highly recommend this team to anyone needing this sort of representation -- and probably other issues, as well. At minimum, it will be worth your while to call them to discuss your problem.

In our experience, we found that Leslie lives up to her promises and philosophies 100% of the time. She is also so compassionate and easy to talk to. Actively listens during the initial consultation and then provides a realistic opinion of the case followed by a robust and specific plan of action. This is what stood out the most to me due to the fact that this is similarly how I operate when working with my clients. Another thing that made securing Leslie for our legal representation is that fact that she's a straight shooter who clearly communicated to my wife and I how her fees would accrue and to whom certain tasks would be delegated to (Paralegal Assistant) in an attempt to keep our costs as low as possible.
Looking back on this unfortunate situation, that my wife and I found ourselves in, it still creates an emotions of sadness and unbelief that it had to come down to litigation to be resolved. Here's a snippet from Leslie's bio, "The story of money reveals the truth and can often tip the balance in questions of credibility..." and let me say it again, that just recalling the events that led up to and throughout our legal case revolving around unpaid and overdue child support, almost brings me to tears. Yes, in our case the story of money revealed some ugly truths. My wife's ex husband was order to pay child support all along; dating back several years! Since this order pre-dated me, I wasn't fully aware of the facts, but it had always bothered me that her ex wasn't paying the full amount of child support. I won't go into all the horrendous details as to why this person wasn't paying their fair share of child support, but I will say this... Leslie made it crystal clear that just because a woman remarries, her ex isn't excused from their financial obligations.
When confronted with this matter of unpaid and overdue child support, the ex challenged the claim and because of that it was set for arbitration. Throughout that process, Leslie was super organized, thoughtful in how she prepped us to give testimony and masterfully gathered and analyzed financial evidence that ultimately resulted in a very favorable resolution for us.
