Our custody case turned our world upside down. When I found Jess Morgan she made the whole situation easier to handle and process. She always kept me informed and stayed in contact through out the entire process. She is very detail oriented and stayed on top of everything. Not to mention, she listened to me vent and helped me work through it. The one thing she did that will keep her number one to my family was put my daughter's needs first. Jess is an extremely detail oriented and helpful lawyer. She helped me navigate a very challenging time in my life going through a divorce and child custody agreement. The quality of service was incredible, and Jess did a great job of advising me so I always felt very confident that we were getting the best outcome.

Ms. Pollina was very quick to respond to emails and questions. Our case was handled quickly and there were no complications. She makes you feel very at ease and it is very easy to talk to her. She shows you the same respect as you give her. Some attorneys have a “I’m the smartest one in the room” attitude, but not Ms Pollina. She never talks down to you or treats your concerns as insignificant. If we ever need an attorney again, and I hope we don’t, we will call Ms.Pollina. She's Family to me now! Even 9yrs after my case! She got me custody of my 3 kids, and the stipulations to my divorce, custody, visitation rights for the other party, and child support setup anyway we felt fit per the judge, in the most minimal and I to the day possible to complete the case! Amanda let me know up front what we were dealing with on the divorce. She never gave me false information or never told me what I wanted to hear Amanda always told me the truth from the very start even if I did not want to hear it. Jerry and his paralegal Becky are both exceptional. I had a lot of anxiety going into my divorce and he truly helped me through the entire process. Vanessa Samano is simply the best there is for child custody cases, specifically high conflict. I would highly recommend Vanessa for any type of divorce or family law case, but specifically if you have a need for representation for Juvenile Court. Vanessa has the relationships with the courts, judges, and other attorneys across East Tennessee. She is highly respected and knows the law, but mostly she cares about the families she represents. I could not have asked for someone who believed in me and my case more. She will be honest, even when it's not what you want to hear. She will encourage you to always do the right thing and to not just check boxes but legitimately follow through.
Vanessa helped me navigate a complex divorce followed by a difficult custody case in which I obtained primary custody. As a single Dad, this was not easy even though the facts were in my favor. I retained Kristen in December of 2021. During our initial meeting she answered every question and I had 3 pages of them. She never made me feel rushed and even asked if I had additional questions. I needed some help with a small estate affidavit after my father passed. I live out of the state of Tennessee making it very difficult to get straight answers from anyone and eventually finding that a couple lawyers were trying to nickel and dime me - starting with one price and then coming back with another. Then I found Tara. She was the answer to my prayers: upfront, informative, confident, and most importantly, honest. She quoted me a flat fee for the work and filing fees for probate court, she constantly kept me informed with paperwork updates and the like. She was empathic to the fact that I was dealing with a stressful situation. The human element of the law is hard to find sometimes. I really appreciated that coming from Tara. She's got a great sense of humor, too, which is usually important in times like these. She takes her work very seriously. She also - after no longer being her client - answered my emails full of questions and met with me to go over things in person once I'd gotten into town. I had to find new legal counsel after my first lawyer's lack of experience became painfully obvious the first time in front of the judge. In my search for a new lawyer, Lewis Williams came highly recommended, and he made an immediate impact.
My (now) ex-wife’s lawyer was loud, rude, aggressive, and willing to present half-truths and outright lies in the courtroom. (My previous lawyer didn’t stand up to her, but just wilted.) After I hired Lewis, she became much more civil and showed him immediate respect. (He told me he had beaten her in the courtroom before, so that was a good sign.)
My ex-wife worked very little during our 18-year marriage, had an affair, and faked a brain injury in her attempt to gain disability benefits. I had copious amounts of evidence for all this. Unfortunately, Tennessee state law apparently cares little about morality and ethics and mostly looks at income vs. need. Thus, I was vulnerable to paying extensive alimony due to my income and the length of our marriage. Lewis encouraged me to settle, even though he told me he would make up to $30,000 in more legal fees if we went to court. I was amazed at his honesty and integrity.
On a side note, he is very prompt at returning emails and works through weekends, holidays, and even when he’s sick! There were times when I thought, “He needs to rest.”

I was very pleased with Mike Watson. My charges were in a county that he's not part of the good ol' boy syatem( if you know what I mean). Mike came to me with an offer from the DA.. according to guidelines it was supposed to be the best offer anyone else would get with my charges. Mike and I sat there and discussed everything because he knew I wasn't happy. Let me say he went back and forth to the DA 3 separate times and came back with good news every single one. Mr. Houston bent over backwards for me in giving advice when I handled my case pro se. He did advise me that I would be at a disadvantage by going pro se and that I should seek legal counsel. After I explained that this was not possible due to my finances, he immediately started sending me links to click on and view TN court rules of civil evidence. I'm not sure why he was so very fourth coming with help, but he was!! I owe him BIG TIME!! I really feel this is an attorney who will look toward doing the right thing for his client and not about padding his wallet!! I was able to settle my case on the court house steps. If I had not filed the lawsuit I don't believe this settlement would have ever happened. GOD BLESS Mr. Houston!!

When my husband and I learned of his ex-wife's habit of doing drugs in front of their children we were horrified and had no idea what to do. On the recommendation of a friend we contacted Earl who took a heartfelt approach to our case and helped us immensely. He was very honest and straightforward and it was clear that he really cared about us and the well-being of our children. It was very long but very rewarding, in June of 2017 I adopted my step-children and they will never again be exposed to drugs and domestic violence as they were in their biological mothers homes, plural as she was constantly living with different men. Prior to having to seek out his help in 2013 I had no real experience with dealing with lawyers. I think it's a natural reaction to be a little intimidated at first, seeing as people always say such negative things about lawyers in general. However, after our initial meeting, I quickly realized that I had nothing to fear. I left our first consultation feeling much more empowered and protected than when I walked in. Mr. Mize is extremely intelligent in his field and this helped to put me at ease. My first time as his client I was going through a divorce. He made sure that I had all of the information that I needed and he asked several questions so he would have a very clear picture of the situation. He never judged or criticized, but always gave helpful and concerned advice. He was always prompt, friendly and professional with returning my calls, texts or emails. Mr. Mize never made me feel rushed or as if I were an inconvenience or a bother. The divorce itself was pretty clear-cut and went fairly smoothly. Two years later, I sought him out again because my ex-husband filed for child support modification and also wanted to modify our days with the kids. The days modification was not in the best interest of our children and would have negatively impacted their health and schooling. My spouse hired a high-powered "celebrity" attorney and was planning on putting me "through the ringer" and was planning to take our child out of state with the man she was having an affair with. Mr. Fort stood toe-to -toe with her council and was able to get me everything I asked for. He is very knowledgeable and understands the law and formulates an amazing strategy.
