Before you hire Jerrold L. Becker from this firm, you should understand what type of "attorney" he is.
In a recorded phone call conversation from our past "attorneys" Paul Wehmeier/Kim Burnette, Becker informed them his client was accusing my husband of answering our front door with gun raised at his clients acquaintance. If that was the case, husband would have been arrested as acquaintance was unarmed. As my husband told Paul/Kim the interaction was recorded as we RECORD everything (including 10 minutes before showing acquaintance on his clients property before coming to ours). Husband wasn't even home, my recording clearly shows acquaintance walking behind our house and me from our top deck asking them to leave-no weapon drawn thus this LIE could not be legally processed. This is just one of several questionable actions generated by Jerrold L. Becker intended to make us spend more on attorney fees.
Take our advise: Record everything with this firm as it will save you aggravation and money.

I highly recommend Mr. Grant and his law firm. Everyone there was very professional and easy to work with. Mr. Grant kept me informed through every step of the process. I have been in a domestic marital circumstance for almost 9 years that 3 other attorneys, either unresolved or did a sub par job, that had me in a bad situation that I needed desperately resolved.
After calling Mr. Grant and explaining my complex situation, he spent over an hour in a free consultation explaining his ideas and expertise on my case. Attention I had never gotten in a paid hour with other attorneys. With that confidence, I retained Mr. Grant, and he resolved the issue in 7 weeks without stepping into the Chancery Court.
I will never call another Jackson Attorney except Mr. Grant and it was the first time I finished with an attorney and said it was money well spent.
Would recommend him to anyone in Jackson with a divorce, custody and support case as complex as mine or as simple as mine started.
I wish I called him 9 years ago.

Kay represented me during a very long divorce process as well as in multiple post-divorce hearings that arose. She is extremely competent, and took time to explain how things worked and prepared me for what to expect throughout the entire process. I could always count on her to respond quickly when I had urgent questions or needed direction and had 100% confidence in her counsel. She was forthcoming in what to expect and I was very pleased with the outcomes in multiple cases. The thing that really stood out to me in the five years we worked together was how much she genuinely cared about my case and my children and how she worked very hard to represent our best interest at every turn. I highly recommend her and can't imagine going through those 5 years without her being my voice and representing me.

Ms. Church has handled several matters for me, my family and some of my friends. I've seen her in court in a child custody case (she won), in a child support case (she won), and in a collections case (she won). She is always professional and clearly explains your options and her plan of attack. I've seen her during negotiations where she was firm, aggressive, and took the lead. I've used other attorneys, but Ms. Church is heads and shoulders above any other. I've referred her to friends who have also had great experiences with her. She is THE BEST!

Several years ago when Matthew was fresh out of law school, he worked on a very large case for me that was highly scrutinized in the public eye. I had a very complicated divorce case in Bedford County. Stan Bennett was my main attorney, but I also worked with Dinah Michael and Brad Hornsby. Allyson Hornsby did a phenomenal job as my paralegal too. Stan really believed in my case and is very well respected in Bedford County. The number of times I was told by the judge, mediator, etc that “they’ve never seen anything like this” is a good testament to how complicated my case was. Stan and his team fought with everything they had during each trial, appeal and challenge. They used their vast legal knowledge and were willing to do the research for all of the unusual things that came up. Stan, Dinah and Brad did a fantastic job in court and were often complimented by the judge on how well they tried the case. I can’t thank the whole team enough for everything they’ve done and how it turned out. I would highly recommend Thomas Bray to anyone looking for an attorney that not only is going to "work for you" but he cares about his clients. I then reached out to Leigh-Taylor White and instantly saw a huge turn around in family matter and was quickly reunited with my children. I cannot praise Mr. Hagan and Ms. Baker enough for solving a real family crisis! Bill Hagan is single-handedly RUINING Lawyers' bad reputation! He and Ms. Baker got us through a difficult Termination of Parental Rights and Adoption Case professionally and empathetically. They knew what needed to be done from the very beginning and followed through with NO SURPRISES! I was very impressed with the way they coordinated everything though the Court so both Appearances went quickly and exactly as planned. We felt that the charges for their service were VERY reasonable and far less than what we had originally estimated. Mr. Hagan was such a huge help to me in my divorce. I needed to relocate to another state and wanted primary custody, and he made everything happen. He and Ms. Baker were great about answering my many questions and emails, and our divorce was finalized in under seven months. He even asked the judge to allow us to have our divorce hearing over Zoom, since I am living in another state. I could not have made it through such an emotionally painful time without his objectivity and counsel.

Not only did Mr.Byars sound the most confident out of all the lawyers i spoke with, he in fact gave better projections for what he felt was possible and stuck to his word. Not only did he predict and achieve better results than any other lawyer i talked to in Cookeville, but he also saved me thousands compared to others who weren't even sure they could keep me out of a jail cell. The only Putnam county lawyer to consider.

Nice place, however would not recommend Kourtney Simmons as a point of contact for an attorney. I experienced her as very quick tempered. Talks more than she listens and gets flustered easily during problem- solving - resolution tasks. I also don’t appreciate her openly discussing the matter in the lobby area of the firm instead of in her office when she got frustrated . Her voice began to rise first , and her facial expressions were flustered . Meaning, everyone in the office heard her and heard us . Not client confidential at all .
I believe if she could be more empathic in nature , and patient she could assist clients better with the needs of all parties involved , which could strengthen her reputation for the brand of this office .
Maybe it was due to her busy schedule so she wanted quick - cut - paid - deal when I finally got to see her, bringing my dad .
There was a misunderstanding - and instead of using critical thinking skills , to identify the root , she immediately jumped into defense .
I have an elderly father with 2 strokes, I already communicated that to her , a little slow in understanding , and she tried to spin my questions of clarity into coercion .
Other than that, I believe the staff are quite friendly and are awesome at following up and scheduling .
I hope in the future Kourtney can treat all of her clients with disabilities and non disabilities , black or white , young or old the same care as it’s given in previous reviews .

My niece informed me of what happened in the office firm September 27,2024 and I was absolutely shocked and devastated that such behavior would come from a licensed attorney.
My niece is 27 years old, educated , articulate and understands ,comprehensively. She was trying to help on the behalf of my brother . Kortney Simmons did not lead by example per what was explained to me.
Definitely not a good representation of Casey & Simmons Law Firm . Threatening in tone , condescending to someone younger , cruel to someone with a disability and their ability to process information .

Lance Drury and his team of amazing Tax Lawyers did an AMAZING job on my case. I tried working with the IRS for months back and forth to get the facts straight on my taxes from 2022! It took them two years to decide that my taxes were incorrect and when I would submit all of my forms over and over again, they would provide the same statement of back taxes due without any explanation.
