I can tell you from my own experiences that some attorneys I have encountered do not demonstrate any genuine desire to fight for their clients as they should, or even as thoroughly as they should. Shanin Turner is not one of those types of attorneys. She responds to me in a timely manner, and she explains things to me in easy-to-understand terms. I trust Shanin Turner to represent my best interests in all family-related legal actions and I highly recommend her.

Mr. Fischer helped me through my divorce with a child. He was God sent, he put up a good fight in court and got exactly what I asked for when it came to the custody and child support. He really answers everything you are curious about, and he will tell you how it is if it’s not reasonable. He was always a call or text away and helped my daughter and I through so much. I used Julie a few years ago to handle my divorce. I had been married for over 25 years, and in the course of finding her had consulted with about 6 other divorce/family law attorneys. I felt like the feedback that I was getting from the other attorneys was suspect, and even in some cases designed to drive up their fees. After consulting with Julie, I knew immediately that I had found the right attorney. I felt like she truly cares about her client, and is not just looking for ways to extend the process and therefore increase the fee. I would definitely recommend her!

She is super-sharp, could answer questions that were involved and didn't have a simple yes/no answer, provided great guidance on what to expect, when, how various things might play out, and how the various judges in Travis County might view the facts of the case. On top of that, she's a great negotiator - she was in total command of all the numbers during mediation and was able to give solid counterarguments during that process, and she had rapport with the mediator.
She also was quick to respond and ensure that all my questions were answered throughout my entire case, be it via email, phone calls, or office visits.

I hired Dr. Jones during an ugly custody battle. As a father, I felt my concerns/points were not being taken seriously by the courts and my ex wife was playing the abused wife victim card even though the mental/physical abuse was actually done to me. Dr. Jones worked 24/7 on my case and was available to me 100% of the time. He basically held my hand and walked me through every step of the process. He brought in things our prior attorney (who had told me I would only get standard possession if courts believed me). Thanks to Dr. Jones, i am now the primary custodian of my children with 50/50 visitation for both parents. As a father, I can now help protect my kids and it is all thanks to Dr. Jones. There is no other attorney i would want to have fighting in my corner. Even now, he makes himself available to me whenever i have a question or concern. His rates were very fair considering the time and dedication he gave to me.

I was dealing with a custody situation that I had no idea what to do. I called Dr. Jones and he provided clarity and a game plan. He put in the hours and planned out a strategy. I was charged with DWI (1st offense), and for a serious offense one needs strong legal representation. I was fortunate to have Alison Smith represent me. She is highly knowledgeable, with a dose of tenacity and tact. A professional attorney with a strong presence who had a good grasp of my situation while, maintaining her patience as court proceedings are daunting and time consuming.
Excellent in communication as she relayed in timely manner activities to fulfill my court obligations/prerequisites/procedures before attending the court.
Importantly, I was able to secure my Drivers License from the very get go which could have immobilized me that could have vastly affected my family.
My charges were reduced.
I would definitely recommend her.

In dealing with a time crunched surprise from the ex wife stating I would not get my kids for my visitation with absolutely no legal grounds. I was limited on time and living out of state I needed to get home. Not only did Miss Gordon go above and beyond she successfully got me my children only 2 days late. So within 4 days of consulting with her and her guiding me and my ex wife's lawyer on legality I now get to spend my summer visitation in our new home in Alabama. My kids get to shoot, fish, hunt, camp. They get to be boys with their dad and I owe this all to her. She even checked up on us out the kindness of her heart. I owe her all this time im getting. Howard is an excellent and incredibly effective attorney. I first met him when he was the company attorney for the IT company I was working for in the early 2000's. He help me apply for my H1B visa and even after leaving the company, I sought him out to apply for my greencard and eventually my citizenship. During that process, I was very pleased with how responsive he was to my questions, whether by email or by phone. Reached out to Mr. Longino for assistance for a very, very difficult child support case between two states. After two TX, and two California attorney's, and no end in sight because of the difficulty of my case, Mr. Longino was very knowledgeable in this area and was able to assist and get us closer to the finish line that we had never been in 4 years. As frustrated as I have been going from court in CA, TX, and back to CA, I am now better prepared to fight this battle with the help from Mr. Longino.

It was a very detailed and unusual case, involving coordination with Juvenile Justice and serving papers to a very unwilling party. Publicly I have know shame but there is a child in question and I firmly believe that our Lord put me in the direction of Mrs. Hutton for a reason. Based on my experience with Ms Proffitt and her team, I’m convinced that the negative reviews must be other side who got beat or someone who thought this team should work for free. I always received communication, Ms Proffitt kicked my ex’s butt (he refers clients to her now), she discounted or didn’t charge for work she completed, and her entire team is top notch. I hired Ms Proffitt in the middle of this pandemic. She explained to me that the courts were operating under very different rules and timeframes, but that she would do everything in her power to help my children and me through an abusive and financially draining situation. Her and her staff were always responsive. I followed their direction to send messages through their office portal (MyCase) and I never had difficulties gets answers. I have read some of the negative reviews and this was simply not my experience. Her entire staff is helpful beyond measure. Ms Proffitt has compassion for her clients. She truly loves her job. Additionally, she was very generous with her time. I know she could have charged me much more than she did. I highly recommend this attorney.

Interestingly enough I met atty Daniel Grey on an off chance. He was at mediation that I was not a party to, and I was in the building for other reasons. As we crossed paths and began speaking he gave me his business card and said something to the effect of “you never know when you may need my services”. As I walked away I thought ‘how did he know’. Long story short within 6months I needed his services. That was about 13 years ago. He not only was a great attorney but he advocated for all sides which is not like many family law attorneys. He helped me see things from my child’s perspective and my spouse at the time. In doing so it made the divorcing with children much more smoother for all parties involved. Over the years I have referred over a dozen of friends & colleagues to him during their time of need and he has always shown great detail and concern to them in the same manner he showed to me. I am only writing this review now because I recently referred someone to him. Though he could not represent the guy due to the county he lived in he still took the time to call him after work hours and be a calming voice and help him him understand the process, ease his mind and refer him to two other lawyers that specialized in that county. I am blown away by this. No charge and he gained nothing other than respect and this review. So many other lawyers won’t even talk to paying clients during the day and a night call is not a thing. So for Daniel to do this was going beyond the pale. I am so thankful for our chance encounter all of those years ago and all the help he has provided to me and to all that have been referred. If you want a lawyer who shoots straight and treats each client even opposing counsel as family & friend to work on a fair settlement he is your guy. This is not about money for him, he truly cares. I contacted Ms Garza to handle a change in custody for one of my two sons, who both lived with their mom after I moved out of the immediate area after said son had issues with his mom's husband. I thought I had a horrible uphill battle ahead of me, until she represented me. Lisa broke it down for me what we could do, and I could tell right away I made the right decision. Her name alone let's the other side know you didn't come to screw around. She is dynamite, aggressive yet personable to her clients, and her associate and office staff are first class. I never had to worry about a phone call or question not being answered or returned. She gave me great guidance, and made suggestions that suited my son and me for now and in the future. She is no non-sense with her approach, and it seems most opposing attorney's are more than willing to work with her toward a mutual solution, but never did she compromise what mattered most to me. I cannot recommend her enough to anyone about to take the monster of divorce on, especially with children involved. I was referered to Ms.Rowland by a another attorney who felt that she was a better fit for my case. My case started out as a CPS case with a protection order later added. Ms.Rowland on our 1st court date won and my custody order remained unchanged. Then instead of having to attend court the next day over a protective order she was able to get that withdrew and held mediation instead which resulted only in minimal changes. Ms.Rowland was always very upfront with me and always gave me the choices of very best outcome or the worst outcome. She was always a phone call away no matter the day or time. As a mother also she would sit and let me cry and just listen she truly understands and is truly all in with her clients. Her fees are reasonable and she explains that fully in your consultation. All thanks to Mr. Pete Schulte! Never having been in a predicament with the law, I was incredibly sacred and nervous when I walked into Mr. Schulte's office for my initial meeting. However, I walked out feeling relieved. He assured me of his goal to have my case dismissed, all while making it clear what to expect in any event. And thereafter all communication was very prompt and direct. Due to Covid my case was pending for a long period, but Mr. Schulte never failed to personally provide a quick response or update. This gave me great peace of mind over the past couple years. And though I was extremely happy to learn my case had been dismissed recently, I was not surprised!
