Thankfully I have not needed the services of Millar Legal personally, but I know two others that have. The theme always seems to be that Aaron is a highly skilled attorney, without question, but the difference for them was how personable and compassionate Aaron was during an (obviously) stressful and emotional time. I personally know Aaron through other professional channels and can attest to the fact that he genuinely cares for people, beyond just the courtroom. The other great reviews and testimonials all ring true. Easy call to make.

I began the divorce process in October of 2021. At the time, I had different counsel. Nearly a year into the saga, I was referred to Aaron through another family law attorney. Once I hired Aaron, I knew I had the right attorney.
My case was very high conflict. Aaron would ask my thoughts and ideas on the best way to navigate all the roadblocks that were thrown our way. Aaron was always calm. He was a voice of reason. He would ask questions to ensure he understood what I needed. Aaron did not always agree with me. When we didn’t agree, he explained his position and the most likely outcome. He was quick to return emails or phone calls. I could count on a response within 24-48 hours.
My case ultimately ended up at trial. I appreciated Aaron’s honesty and integrity throughout the entire process. He was very thoughtful with all of the motions and exhibits he presented to the Court, as he understood the Court does not have a lot of time to spend on each case. At trial, Aaron was able to take hundreds of pages of information and display them on a spreadsheet that was easy for everyone, including the judge, to understand. During the first day of trial, the Judge held up Aaron’s spreadsheet specific to alimony. It detailed previous martial expenses, current expenses and predicted expenses. The Judge shook it above his head while exclaiming that is how it should be done! While making his ruling, the Judge once again commented how helpful Aaron’s presentation was in determining alimony. Aaron was always in control: control of himself, control of the room, control of the issues, control of the evidence.
Aaron was able to get me full physical and legal custody of my 16 year old, he successfully negotiated that she determine parent time and secured more alimony than I ever wanted or expected.
Aaron and I made a great team. Normally I would approach Aaron with a solution to the latest problem. Aaron was always open to my ideas; he wasn’t threatened by my involvement. I had some ideas that were unconventional but checked off all of the boxes when it came to the law. Aaron was willing to advocate for me even though he didn’t know what the outcome would be. Aaron was very methodical. He was not ego driven. Aaron did what was best for his client, not what was the easiest or most popular. Whether he agreed with me or not, Aaron would always hear me out. My prior counsel dismissed me even when I had what ultimately became the winning strategy.
I will always recommend Millar Legal to anyone that finds themself needing legal representation, specifically in a high conflict divorce case.

Mr. Millar was a wonderful attorney to work with. Throughout the entire process, from the date I first reached out for a consult, up until the end of mediation, he was honest with me about my options and helped guide me toward the best possible outcome based on my needs. Laura has been my attorney for a decade now. She is the reason I have faith in attorneys at all. She's an amazing salesperson, but from what I can tell, an average lawyer. Charging $450/hr is obviously a supply and demand issue, which is a product of her salesperson-ship, and having more clientele than time available to help them. Even her paralegal, who handles most paperwork, makes more than 95% of all doctors. No lawyer can make everything happen, but I suspect most lawyers can accomplish the same outcomes for much less.

Divorce is always messy and emotional. My ex took me back to court only 6 months after it was final. I knew this was never going to end. I did my research in trying to find a true litigator that could fiercely represent me all the way to the end. Nonie has stellar experience litigating in front of a judge. An actual Family Law litigator is hard to find. After she looked at my files, when I had my consult with her she pointed out several things that could have been done differently. For the first time in months I felt at ease because Nonie clearly had a strategy that could end this. She’s personable, listens intently, and resolute in how things should go. My only regret is that I didn’t find her for my initial divorce. I would be in a completely different situation now.
After my initial consult with Nonie I was paired up with Sharnea, her paralegal, and Amber, another attorney with the firm. Sharnea is by far the most knowledgeable paralegal I’ve ever worked with. She was very clear in explanations of family law and how it pertained to me. Sharnae was always available when I needed her! I really appreciated working with her.
Not only did I feel I had the best team fighting for me they were also my biggest advocates in helping me through the entire rollercoaster. My case is resolved and I can finally move on with my life.
I honestly hope I don’t need an attorney again from this past marriage, but if I do I will contact Nonie without question! She is the only atty I would consider.

I found Nicholas on a site while I was in a highly abusive relationship.

I hired Adam in 2020 for a post divorce case that involved multiple pleadings, extensive evidence, a high level of emotional volatility over a three year period. I found him on AVVO, his credentials were pristine and upon the recommendation of one common aquiantance, I made the decision to move forward. Adam evaluated the case, and represented me well at a hearing the next business day. Amid the pandemic, I have never met him face to face, I live out of state and the court was in another district within the state, he was not distracted by the noise and reached a favorable conclusion in a few weeks. I was referred to Adam Caldwell by a friend who had seen him in action in the court room and was impressed. From my first call to his office, the service was amazing; he was able to see me almost immediately. His office is very professional and easy to navigate. Drinks and comfortable chairs were readily available. On my initial consultation Adam spent the time needed for me to fully explain my story and circumstances. He knew that in addition to the facts, I needed to get out some emotion as well and let me take the time to do so. He listened carefully, then reassured me that he knew exactly what to do with my case and presented a plan to me. I went into that office scared about all of the unknowns and came out confident that I was able to lay that burden on my attorney and that he would take care of it for me. In addition to Adam's experience and expertise, he also has an amazing paralegal, Shalayne Topham. If I had any concerns at all I knew that I could ask her about them and she would either find out the answers, or get me in touch with Adam very quickly. One time I emailed a major concern I had with regards to my husband not paying for my utilities anymore and she immediately got in contact with Adam (who was on vacation) and between the two of them they resolved it very quickly. During mediation, Adam was firm, but just movable enough to get the job done right. We spent nearly 8 hours in mediation and he was there with me the entire time. After scheduling what I thought was a paid consultation that should have lasted 1 hour, I learned I was unknowingly scheduled into a 15 minute free consultation.
