As my title suggests, Justin is a really great lawyer! I recently went through a divorce with included the custody of my two young children. I am sure you can imagine this was not an easy time for me. Being the father, and with my children both being so young, I was extremely worried I would be forced into minimal custody. Justin was always calm and was quick to answer my questions and reassure me that was not going to happen. He was always there when I called and he helped me through this difficult time. He was not about to give up on me or allow me to give up on myself and he diligently stood for what I wanted.
In the end, I received much more custody than I was originally offered and the opportunity to try for more when my kids are a bit older. Although I will never get as much time as I would like, which is seeing them everyday, Justin's help was invaluable during the case and I cannot thank him enough.
I would recommend Justin, along with anyone at his firm, to anyone I know who may be going through the same issues. It is a tough time for everyone involved and it definitely helps having someone like Justin on your side!

My family and I were lost with our immigration issues. We had used attorneys before but did not have good experiences. On a whim after a google search, we found Dan and went in not knowing quite what to expect as attorneys had failed us before. I have never had an experience with an attorney who actually looked at me as a person. Mr. Black treated me with respect, and considering what I was up against, no one else would. I had been charged with several protective order violations, DV assault, theft, and vehicle burglary. I can already see whoever is reading this is thinking exactly what everyone else did. Mr. Black, however, listened to my story and handled my cases as though he were a seasoned professional. Anyway, Long story short, I was convicted of 1 protective order violation from sending a text message, and 1 class B attempted assault. The circumstances were completely against me and my civil rights were repeatedly violated. Mr Black, thank you for all you helped me with and for working so hard on my cases. And for treating me with respect.

I hired Heritage law for visitation interference with my parent-time. I was referred by another attorney. Ron Wilkinson and Marianne Card represented me and my children very well. We won every action that we took to the courts.

Face it, no one “wins” in divorce; however my experience with Ms. Card is as close as it will come.
Ms. Card and Ron Wilkinson worked on my case as a team and their expertise introduced solutions for the long term emotional, financial and physical security of the children and I that I never would have thought of. I “lost” by the things I had on my agenda; however I was too emotionally raw and inexperienced to see the bigger picture.
Ms. Card invested numerous hours truly working to understand all the components of the case, pouring over emails and texts between the children, my ex and I. That devotion made all the difference as we faced opposing counsel. Accusations were quickly retracted as she had documentation and a working knowledge of each child's perspective. She also went "above and beyond" by even answering the smallest of concerns in my emailed questions with an almost immediate response.
Words of advice, gather all your documentation, communicate with your ex through email and text, document every interaction, be clear and concise with “just the facts” and send that to Ms. Card at least once a month. You clearly communicating with her will go a long way in how much she can help you.
My case was responding to a petition my ex filed to modify our divorce agreement. I wish I had Ms. Card and Mr. Wilkinson by my side during the original divorce, not only would my ex not have been able to do that (Mr. Wilkinson and Ms. Card added to the modification that all future disagreements must go through mediation before anything can be filed against the other party), I believe I would have had a much healthier arrangement then what I agreed to in the original divorce.
Though my ex filed the petition to modify, I came out of it with the modified divorce agreement being a better solution for ME. Marianne Card is worth every penny and I couldn’t recommend her more

I am in the Air Force and stationed overseas. Through some shady dealings my daughter was forced to stay behind in the states with my ex wife. A couple of months after i left the country my ex ended up in alcohol rehab. Because of my military status and living overseas I had a short window of time to gain custody of my daughter. Paul seemingly to me dropped everything and helped me out because of the compressed time frame. I ended up with custody of my daughter and still have her safe with me to this day. I couldn't have asked for better, more personalized service than what Paul gave me.

We've all heard the jokes about lawyers and how most of them have no soul and are only after the money.
I hadn't met a lawyer that didn't fit into that category until I met Margaret Olson. Ms Olson not only has a wonderful soul, she is also the most accomplished professional I know. She has treated me and my family like we were part of her family.
Like the title says above... I could not give a higher recommendation to someone looking for a lawyer who gets the job done and knows her stuff. She will handle your case professionally, and with a heart.

This review and my gratitude is long over due. Virginia was my lawyer during a long, difficult custody battle. Family law is a ugly business and Virginia is one of the few lawyers who is it for the right reasons; to protect children. Her morals are one of her best qualities.

My both cases are nearing to Fact Discovery deadlines and I am getting anxious. I met Laja on a pro se hearing for temporary orders on my divorce case. She was the second attorney that I had pro se and immediately I could tell she was far different from the man that had represented me the first time around. I retained her ASAP after that second hearing and I haven't had a regret about it since. Laja, while representing me and willing to do as I asked, was an amazing voice of reason in helping me make decisions on how to proceed with my case and laying out possible outcomes, as well as giving her professional opinion based on her experiences from past cases. She has a vast knowledge of Utah family law and in the end, the case worked out in my favor which is abnormal for the state I live in. She dealt swiftly with my ex through the whole thing, who was constantly dragging her feet and making things difficult. Scott Help me through a very rough patch in my life. I needed to work through a marriage fraught with trials and challenges. He did not encourage me to hurry and get a divorce, rather he encouraged me to do several things to save the marriage. I followed his advice and in the end he did help me with the divorce process, but by the time we did that, I was well prepared for the end. I knew that everything possible had been tried, and having tried many, many solutions gave me insight into the situation that I otherwise would never have known. My ex-wife was married to me but she was in love with someone else. Had we filed for divorce right away, I would have ended up in a much worse situation. Having waited until the more complete story came out put me in a great position to keep the children with full custody. I get to stay in the family home and the money I earned goes to support the family not to support someone who is untrustworthy. During the time I was trying to put things back together, I found out about secret banking accounts, real estate, and other possessions that were part of her life but not mine. Scott helped me understand why she pushed so hard for some things (mostly financial.) She pushed hard for all of the things we owned together to be put into a family trust which for some reason didn't include me. She said that because we were married in reality I was a member of the trust. She wanted access to my bank account, but refused to allow me to even go into her bank with her. When it came time for the financial statements to be filed, I had the information needed to confront her about the assets that she had and had not declared.
Due to the lack of her disclosure it was clear that she was not telling the truth and therefore had no credibility with the judge. The judge looked much more favorably at the arguments we presented even though the truth of my position was not always pretty, it was the truth. I had given Scott all of the ugly details of the marriage, so there were no surprises for him during negotiations or when we got to court.

David Holman did me well and I had a complicated custody case. He listened, he always got back to me in a timely manner and was in communication with the opposing party’s attorney on a regular basis, even when that attorney was the type to avoid and play stupid to try and upset me more. David was calming and assuring. The law office of Holman & Walker is a smaller office, but they are very family oriented and they keep what is important at the front...the child/children. I’m embarrassed that it has taken me 6 years to write a review. I was recommended to David from a co-worker and what made me realize that I should write a review was that I have another co-worker who is going through a divorce and custody issues that are complicated and he has been using the internet looking for info on attorneys.
