I went to court today for a 1st OUI. I was very concerned of the consequences. Mr. Skvara was professional and fast thinking and was able to represent me much better than I could have myself. I had a great outcome in my divorce, largely because I was represented by Greg Hildebrand. It was not a collaborative divorce as this attorney is known for, but traditional position based negotiation. I spoke to several reputable lawyers but I hired this one because he had the most well thought out strategy, especially when it came to child related issues. I got a better than expected outcome, including the placement schedule I wanted, and the process was as easy as it could be under the circumstances. Greg convinced the other side that taking our settlement offer was in their own best interests, but I always knew if we did end up in court I would be in good hands. I would recommend him to anybody, especially anyone with children, and in fact I have already done so.

Greg made navigating a divorce much more comfortable. He was always respectful of my perspective and was patient with my questions, concerns and sporadic emotions during this difficult time. Hired at 325$ an hour with expectations he'd be motivated, diligent, and accurate was not what I received. He had to be reminded constantly that I was waiting patiently for action. Which I got charged for. He waited so long to act he lost track of details. When asked why he didn't submit documents, he didn't feel it was necessary. He consumed money by making mistakes, I had to correct, then charged me. Failed to gather ALL information given to him so he had to correct and reserve 4 ppl and amended court documents costing me more money. Overall, I wasn't impressed. He was fired, showed up to court anyway then charged me. He must be hard up for $$$. That he has to take money from a single woman that has a limited income to fatten his wallet. This is my perception of my 10month encounter with Steve and $7,000+ dollars later. It took Steve over 9 months to get a court date. Documents only require 20 days to respond. Thats a lot of wasted time. Steve was hire in Feb. I was expect to have the house on the market in the spring. His lackadaisical approach is frustrating. Emails were written and a special meeting was made to get my point across. Steve didn't need my signature to withdraw from my case. Him showing up for court was an obligation to the court system not me, as he no longer was my employee. He charged me for drive time and the time he waited to tell the judge he was terminated. He's not a stand-up guy in my book. My advice, go somewhere else.

I have seen both sides of this law firm; the courtroom side and the client side. Attorneys Koch, Duquette, and Renz and their staff are top notch. They listen empathetically when needed, yet shoot straight, clearly and concisely. They got the exact results I was looking for in my divorce. I would hire them again.

Atty Koch walked me through every step of my high conflict child custody case. My case was very contentious. He managed my expectations at the first meeting and told me what the most likely custody that I would be awarded. He never sugar coated anything. He was prompt at returning phone calls and emails. This was a rough/stressful time in my life and I was confident I would get the results we talked about. Upon meeting Atty Koch, he made a statement to me that had helped me through the months of the court process “the wheels of justice grind slowly”.... meaning everybody wants court to be done yesterday- including myself.... but that isn’t the case. Be patient. If I ever need a lawyer again I already know who I’m calling.

Attorney Pauls was an absolute gift after having battled previous custody issues using a different attorney. We had called her office several years earlier and the impression I got from her assistant Sarah, always stuck with me. I knew we should have hired Heather at that moment. However, for whatever reason, we didn't and had ended up with a terrible attorney. A few years later, we found ourselves in need of an attorney to go back to court and our first phone call was made to Heather. Our case dealt with a teenage boy choosing to come live with his father instead - which involved also having a G.A.L. attorney appointed. Heather is very knowledgeable, professional, kind, listened to our questions/concerns. Heather and Sarah were very quick to respond back with a phone call or email. She was very upfront on all of our options and the possible outcomes, what to expect, and what we should do to prepare. Her sense of humor helped my husband relate to her, and relax, during the stressful times. We are so very pleased with how our case was handled by Heather and her assistant Sarah - they know so much and take the stress out of everything!!! Honestly, if our case turned out not in our favor, we would still recommend her based on our previous experiences with a different attorney - the quality of her work exceeded our expectations 1,000 times over. If you are looking for a family law attorney, you would be an idiot not to hire her!

She answered all of my questions and I set up a time to meet Heather. The day i met Heather was the day i started to feel less anxiety. Won't give me a payment receipt for a retainer I paid. Who would think contacting the bar association for something so silly would be needed. Father and son both failed in a family case and gave hardly any effort. This place is definitely about money and getting no results done. Also Ben Anderson will lie straight to your face even if you pay his business to have business.

Been a client for years and all of sudden I cannot get a response from my attorney. Sent an email to Attorney Kuechler about my ex-wife moving my kids to a different county without telling anybody, and the only response received was a copy of my current bill. Terrible service, terrible communication, and apologies to anyone I recommended to Jaskolski and Jaskolski.

Called in May and spoke to Tyler. He said he would call me back and let me know how they wanted to proceed - he didn't call. Called 7/15 to ask if they could help. He never let me finish one sentence. Kept interupting me and then literally slammed the phone down on me - called back to ask him why and he yelled again. Made me cry.

I can’t say enough good things about Sean and his staff. I had a very messy divorce. I worked with another lawyer for seven months and he did very little for me except continually remind me that Wisconsin was a 50/50 state and that even though I brought significant assets into the marriage while my ex had, none, I earned about three times more during the marriage, and we were only married for a short time, I was going to have split everything 50/50 with him. He pressured me to agree to a very bad mediation deal. Luckily, before having the judge finalize the mediation agreement, I came across Sean‘s reviews on Google. I wasn’t just looking at how many stars he was given but I read what people wrote about him. People repeatedly commented on his commitment, his dedication, and going the extra mile. I made an appointment for a consultation with Sean. Within the first five minutes of our meeting, he said, “Let me show you what the law actually says, I have had to educate other counsel and judges about this.” He printed off the actual law where it states that Wisconsin is a 50/50 state after consideration is made for the following items, which included length of marriage, what each brought into the marriage, and the length of the marriage. After talking a little more, he asked why I didn’t have a restraining order and I told him that my previous lawyer told me it was 50/50 whether I would get it and that it would be inflammatory and work against me even though I felt very unsafe and threatened. Sean appeared very upset after hearing this, and disagreed, but continued to be professional and not bad mouth the other lawyer. Sean was very brave about taking on my case this late in the game with a fast approaching court date and so much information to take in. Also, my ex hired a lawyer who I had heard said is the best divorce lawyer in La Crosse. I wholeheartedly disagree, because Sean definitely is the best. I am still in awe of the commitment Sean made to helping me get a fair trial and a great outcome. I would see emails from him sent on weekends and in the middle of the nightat times. It was so reassuring to know he was on my side and so determined. He blocked out several days of his calendar so that he could familiarize himself with my huge stack of documents. As soon as I retained Sean as my attorney, I finally felt like I could relax and let him take care of it. I knew that no matter what happened with the results of the trial, I would be satisfied, because I had the best representation I could possibly have. My hearing went on for two days. Sean was relentless in his effort to get me a fair trial and justice. In the end, the judge decided to divide the assets 80/20 in my favor. I did not get everything I wanted, but that never happens in court. It was about $70,000 that Sean saved me based on what my previous attorney was forecasting with a trial outcome. In some ways, more importantly, Sean gave me the opportunity to tell my story and have it validated by the judge. He was so committed to making it clear that I tried so hard during the marriage and that my ex was dishonest and completely took advantage of me. It seemed that Sean felt a moral obligation to not let my ex take more from me and to have his greediness and dishonesty exposed. I will also say that his staff was very friendly and hard-working. Sean went out of his way to try to save me money when he could by having me do some of the legwork if I wanted. He kept me consistently updated on status and promptly responded to all of my messages. Within the first 5 minutes I knew I had made a mistake in paying $100 for a consultation with Jennifer F. Thompson; she didn't even give me the courtesy of introducing herself. I was emotional and in tears being very upset over a DC citation I received. I was relieved to finally meet with a lawyer to have my have questions answered in order to know my options in fighting this citation, and in dealing with a stalker. Jennifer wasn't listening to me; she impatiently cut me off numerous times, as if annoyed. For example, I started our conversation by saying, "I originally wanted to get a restraining order against my neighbor, but now I..." and she cut me off telling me why a RO wasn't possible. I could barely get a full sentence out before she reacted. She should no concern for my situation, she was confrontational, and visibly sneered at me a couple times, as if my questions were stupid. Throughout the entire consultation I felt as if I were in court defending myself. She actually said, "I don't believe you" and "I don't believe that happened" making me feel re-victimized.

I considered and still am considering sueing Jennifer for her negligence in my case. I agree with the other reviews, she's incompetent and emotional and comes off as kind of cuckoo in front of the judge. The other party didn't even really have that good of a lawyer but she just chokes. She was totally unprepared to fight for me, but super aggressive when trying to collect her pay. I lost everything because of her and am still in debt. I would advise anyone to seek other counsel.
