I was entangled in a very long embittered divorce with my ex. Legal fees and endless court dates were the norm. Just about given up an accepted that this was going to be life from here until my kids were grown. I’m glad I hired David Kropid. He sat me down, he was able to cut out the emotion of the current drama, and help me to focus on facts and set realistic legal goals… I felt better prepared for court and had realistic expectations despite my previous dealings with the legal system. He won my court case in less than seven minutes! I actually left my court hearing smiling and actually hopeful for the first time in ages! Sean is very knowledgeable of the law. He won’t steer you wrong. He’s a straight shooter. He’ll tell you what you need to do and what not to do in your situation. I can’t say enough good things about Sean and his staff. I had a very messy divorce. I worked with another lawyer for seven months and he did very little for me except continually remind me that Wisconsin was a 50/50 state and that even though I brought significant assets into the marriage while my ex had, none, I earned about three times more during the marriage, and we were only married for a short time, I was going to have split everything 50/50 with him. He pressured me to agree to a very bad mediation deal. Luckily, before having the judge finalize the mediation agreement, I came across Sean‘s reviews on Google. I wasn’t just looking at how many stars he was given but I read what people wrote about him. People repeatedly commented on his commitment, his dedication, and going the extra mile. I made an appointment for a consultation with Sean. Within the first five minutes of our meeting, he said, “Let me show you what the law actually says, I have had to educate other counsel and judges about this.” He printed off the actual law where it states that Wisconsin is a 50/50 state after consideration is made for the following items, which included length of marriage, what each brought into the marriage, and the length of the marriage. After talking a little more, he asked why I didn’t have a restraining order and I told him that my previous lawyer told me it was 50/50 whether I would get it and that it would be inflammatory and work against me even though I felt very unsafe and threatened. Sean appeared very upset after hearing this, and disagreed, but continued to be professional and not bad mouth the other lawyer. Sean was very brave about taking on my case this late in the game with a fast approaching court date and so much information to take in. Also, my ex hired a lawyer who I had heard said is the best divorce lawyer in La Crosse. I wholeheartedly disagree, because Sean definitely is the best. I am still in awe of the commitment Sean made to helping me get a fair trial and a great outcome. I would see emails from him sent on weekends and in the middle of the nightat times. It was so reassuring to know he was on my side and so determined. He blocked out several days of his calendar so that he could familiarize himself with my huge stack of documents. As soon as I retained Sean as my attorney, I finally felt like I could relax and let him take care of it. I knew that no matter what happened with the results of the trial, I would be satisfied, because I had the best representation I could possibly have. My hearing went on for two days. Sean was relentless in his effort to get me a fair trial and justice. In the end, the judge decided to divide the assets 80/20 in my favor. I did not get everything I wanted, but that never happens in court. It was about $70,000 that Sean saved me based on what my previous attorney was forecasting with a trial outcome. In some ways, more importantly, Sean gave me the opportunity to tell my story and have it validated by the judge. He was so committed to making it clear that I tried so hard during the marriage and that my ex was dishonest and completely took advantage of me. It seemed that Sean felt a moral obligation to not let my ex take more from me and to have his greediness and dishonesty exposed. I will also say that his staff was very friendly and hard-working. Sean went out of his way to try to save me money when he could by having me do some of the legwork if I wanted. He kept me consistently updated on status and promptly responded to all of my messages. Hopefully I will never need counsel again, but if I did, I would definitely retain Sean again. If it were possible to give him 10 stars, I would

I wouldn’t recommend neither of these attorneys. Mr French and Mr Betker are both liars. They will tell you what you want to hear just to get your money. I was promised reimbursement of attorney fees which was more than the amount that I was suing Midas muffler for. Unfortunately, now they refuse to accept responsibility for their fraudulent actions. I trusted these attorneys and now I regret that I gave them my trust. Because now they are denying that they promised me attorney fee reimbursement because they didn’t put their lie in writing. They don’t deserve any rating because they are liars. So don’t trust them, and make sure that they put all of their promises in writing before you give them your money. I never imagined that attorneys would lie to the consumer just to get their money. Beware of these fraudsters.

From day 1of my wife's WC I knew that the people who recommended Mr. French were being modest. His straight forward style is so reassuring and all you have to do is sit back and watch a very knowledgeable attorney slowly and meticulously put the pieces together and get the best result. Chris represented me in a personal injury claim after a vehicle accident. In the days after the accident the insurance company offered to just pay for expenses and settle. After talking to a few different lawyers I had a comfort level with Chris and felt like he was going to be the right person to fight for me. I was not let down by him in any way. Attorney MacGillis surpassed my expectations and stood up to the insurance company making them add a few zeros to the original settlement amount. Chris is a good, honest, straight shooter! I trust him and would hire him again without hesitation!

Stephen kept things moving forward even when they got difficult. He was always very prompt to respond and never wasted my time. Divorce sucks all the way around, but he made it as painless a process as he could and I was happy with the result of my case. Definitely recommend him as a lawyer, worth every penny.

I am not going to sugar-coat this, I wanted to fight with everything inside of me for my child's safety and well-being during a long (almost 5 years) custody battle. I began the process alone but I quickly recognized that because this was my child, I was more emotionally-driven and less logic-based in my fight. Mario was always available to me throughout the stress of board related issues. He was compassionate with my coping with this stress and very knowledgeable about the board’s workings. He knew the opposing counsel’s temperament and his guidance relating to this matter and the likely outcome was spot on. I sincerely believe that if I had hired a different attorney my board issue’s resolution would have been much more onerous in the requirements. He held my hand for each step and when an issue arose he couldn’t immediately answer, Mario rapidly found the answers for me. Seems like a very genuine guy as well

Big agressive first impression. Its all talk. he doesn't answer email or phone calls, charges ALOT of money and makes excuses like his secretary quit or he was out of town or on vacation....advises you to accept poor deals. NEVER HIRE THIS ATTOURNEY. Divorce should have been done in 7 months.....a year an a half later, doesnt even respond to whats going on?

Karyn is a great attorney. I could not have asked for a better lawyer than her! I hired her in 2017 when I was facing my fourth DUI. For three years she has fought endlessly for me and has managed to take mycase down to a first offense. Anytime I had questions she was very responsive. After looking at these reviews I would have to say the only negative review I read was spot on with my experience hiring Karyn. I hired her in 2012 for a 3rd dui. The case went to jury trial and throughout the waiting period from court date to court date it was nearly impossible to get into contact with her. At court appearances she was unprepared and looked as though she had rolled out of bed. For the amount of money that was paid I feel representing myself would have been a much better option.

When my son was born his mother refused to let me see him for the first six months of his life. The first lawyer I hired did absolutely nothing in mine or my sons best interest, so I fired her and hired Attorney Dahl. Looking back, I now know this was one of the best decisions I’ve ever made. My only regret is I wish I would have done it sooner or just hired her from the beginning. Attorney Dahl always had my back; whether it was laying out exactly what the courts expectations were, to explaining the process and what I should expect, to answering my calls/texts/emails at all hours of the night just so I could vent my frustration with the situation, to offering flexible payment options, to taking a genuine interest in my case and treating me like family, to helping me get 50/50 custody of my son. Words alone can’t express how grateful I am for Attorney Dahl. She is extremely knowledgeable, professional, personable, and an absolute delight to work with. With Attorney Dahl there was no beating around the bush, or making promises she couldn’t deliver, in fact she was very straightforward and blunt about what I needed to fix with myself in order to be a better person, a better father, and be able to effectively co-parent. I honestly couldn’t have done it without Attorney Dahl and am forever indebted to her. She seems to be working for the other side and collecting the money from me for doing nothing for me, but for my ex. Communication is terrible....she has difficulty keeping dates & times strait....with no respect for my work schedule....shows up late to hearings and seems confused/lost on what to do in court. Documentation that would have supported me in court was ignored by her. So, if your ok with your divorce dragging on for years at her expensive rate~hire her! It was more stressful having her as my attorney and keeping up with her demands with no results!

Initial consultation seemed OK, she seemed nice, but she seemed too busy for her small office and never got a call back after several attempts. Found a different lawyer who was much more interested in helping and returning my call. Do NOT recommend!

Mine was a grandparent's visitation rights case - not typically granted in Wisconsin unless there is a death involved. My case didn't fit "typical" fashion. Attorney Poletti (Mary) did a fantastic job for me. As an attorney, she's well educated, well informed and she knows the correct interpretation of the laws - and because she had informed me of what I needed to show to the court, I was granted temporary grandparent's visitation rights. Mary is also very understanding, fair, honest and up front with the facts. I knew when I began the process that it was probably not going to be a win/win situation for me - however, I gained an extra year with my granddaughter and I learned a couple of priceless lessons. If you are seeking the best attorney in Wisconsin's Family Court - you can stop now - you've found her!

I hired Jolene to represent me in my divorce. I had never had a reason to hire a lawyer and I had never been to court for anythiing in my life. Our finances are complicated and my husband and I are not communicating good, so I knew that I wouldn't be able to do the divorce on my own. Jolene was recommended by a friend, and when I met with her she made me feel at ease and explained how the process works. They know the law and will fight for your rights and will truly be on your side. We have been unfortunate to have had to deal with unfair insurance adjusters, MGW set everything straight and fought for us. MGW has been a blessing to say the least. I contacted MGW after seeing a billboard advertisement, I’d been struggling to get a hail damage claim approved. Josh took my case and got the result I needed to fix my house. Don’t worry if you don’t live in the same town as MGW, the entire process was handled remotely in an efficient way. I would recommend MGW, not only because I got the result I wanted, also because I felt thoroughly informed through the entire process of what my role was, what I needed to provide, and various potential outcomes.

This law office I highly recommend! Jennifer was able to create a very detailed “special needs trust” for my daughter. Her knowledge and professionalism put me at peace and gave me the confidence and assurance that my daughter will be taken care of once I pass. Jennifer also prepared several other items for me personally. My husband passed and I needed to redo all my documents as well. Hopefully I will be calling max for a defamation lawsuit I want to pursue. I have to file a claim against the sheriff department who came in my house with no warrant serving me the deputy best friend restraining order against me to not go on my own job! It was self interest.
