I was charged with statutory rape in NY, along with several other charges. Mr. Meissner arranged a deal with the Assistant DA for me to have the charges reduced to a misdemeanor and me to attend classes, even when other lawyers said I would have to serve some jail time. Can't thank Stuart enough for allowing me this second chance to get my life back. Anyone who has legal problems should give Stuart Meissner a call before anyone else.

I live in the Midwest and required a good security lawyer for my claim against Lehman Brothers, previously one of the top brokerage firms headquartered in New York. Stuart Meissner's office is in New York and his law practice includes security law.
My legal claim was complex and became more so when Lehman Brothers filed what has been regarded as the largest bankruptcy case in history. For over six years Stuart Meissner has had to deal with multiple and substantive issues as well as the different venues for representation and resolution of this claim. This required notifying me, explaining and assisting me in understanding the issues, supplying documentation, and determining decisions. Stuart Meissner also had to engage in handling these legal issues as well as dealing with courts and multiple lawyers first, within the context of a regular security claim and then, within the context of a bankruptcy claim. This claim is currently in settlement.
I recommend others who have security or similar type claims to consider legal representation by Stuart Meissner. The legal path may be long, arduous, and complicated but Stuart Meissner will be your legal representative who can meet the challenge.

Jason represented our group which opposed a proposed industrial scale gravel mine in our residential neighborhood. Mining was allowed with a special use permit. This required extensive review of many documents, familiarity with zoning and mining law, and attendance at Planning Board and Town Board meetings. Jason spoke extemporaneously at these meetings and cogently put forward our position. His expertise was instrumental in convincing the town board to establish a moratorium on new mining applications which led to the town revising its zoning to prohibit new mines in the residential areas of town.

We won't use any other attorney for Arbitration/ Lit files at our billing company, when we take on a new no fault client we specifically state we won't bill unless we can use him. At the recommendation of my real estate agent, I contacted Allison and, after speaking with her, I immediately hired her. I was in the process of buying my first coop apartment, and I was overwhelmed by everything it entailed. Allison was extremely knowledgeable about dealing with coops, and explained everything to me along the way so I would know what to expect. She was always available to take my call, or called me back after I left a message. Allison was very patient with me when my anxiety level got the better of me at times. Dealing with a coop purchase, as I came to learn, can be a very tedious, time consuming and, at times, frustrating process. Allison spent a great deal of time going over all the coop records she needed to review as part of her responsibilities as my lawyer. She was aware of the fact that I was very eager to move out of my previous apartment, and advocated for things to move along as quickly as possible. I always felt that Allison was doing everything within her power to be an advocate for me. Dan Kraushaar is our go to attorney for all our NY real estate transactions. He represented us when we purchased our first home in Orange County.
