Rick Cowle and his staff were amazing to work with regarding the selling/closing of my house. They made it a very easy process especially since it was very emotional selling a house after 28 years. Not only were they friendly and easy to work with but as knowledgeable as could be regarding everything and anything. When we first spoke on the phone, I was impressed that he instructed me in a very pragmatic manner on what my options were, and possible outcomes if I were to allow his law firm to represent me. Elizabeth (Liz) Schmid is the best real estate lawyer I have ever dealt with in my whole life. We had to assist an elderly relative with a complicated home sale in the Hamptons. We live out of state and were working with a power of attorney. We had a timing issue and a bunch of requirements were getting in the way to expedite. Liz went above and beyond the call of duty to make this happen. First, she was nimble and pivoted as needed to meet new deadlines all the time. She also did a fantastic job negotiating sticking points that were a major concern. Additionally, there were countless items not typically handled by a lawyer requiring someone to sort things out and be onsite and Liz made it happen. She also helped us even with finding last minute a contractor to haul items left behind prior to closing. There are tons and tons of other examples like this where any other lawyer would have just not jumped in to help. I have sold and purchased properties in the last 30 years in various states and never have I experienced such top strategy, competence, dedication, problem solving skills and simply put, care, as we experienced with Liz. I would highly recommend the Douglas Family Law Group. I have come to realize that you either have a horrible lawyer or a great one. I feel the best measure is when they are transparent and show that they actually care. I was first represented by a pro-bono lawyer who wouldn't tell the court my ex-partner boyfriend threatened me, that she caused him 38 lates to school and she didn't have him half the time and she moved out of state without telling me or the court. He just kept telling me " you never know what the judge will say so take the settlement". he refused to even put my requests in the settlement if he felt they wouldn't agree. When I retained the Douglas Family Law group it was a different experience. There was constant communication, empathy and acknowledgment for some of the unfairness that I had experienced. Elizabeth spoke up for me in the courtroom and stated many things that needed to be on the record. Elizabeth put in my reasonable and justifiable requests when engaging in the settlement process. Elizabeth many times had to explain to me what the court pays attention to and what path we can take to present that. I have a great disdain for the family court system and it's practices but if you have representation from this law firm they can professionally and honestly represent and defend your interests in this institution. Jason represented our group which opposed a proposed industrial scale gravel mine in our residential neighborhood. Mining was allowed with a special use permit. This required extensive review of many documents, familiarity with zoning and mining law, and attendance at Planning Board and Town Board meetings. Jason spoke extemporaneously at these meetings and cogently put forward our position. His expertise was instrumental in convincing the town board to establish a moratorium on new mining applications which led to the town revising its zoning to prohibit new mines in the residential areas of town.

Please avoid The Prince Law Group, LLC, very unprofessional, dishonest and pilfering lawyers. I hired Wendy in 2021 for a Family Court matter I was assigned a Real Estate Lawyer. It's a hard pill to swallow when you come to a point where you must debate on whether you should file for bankruptcy or not. After weighing all possible options, I decided to file and was referred to Robert Fox. It had started as an initial phone call with quick questions regarding your income, your debt and your expenses. This is what they call the Means test. After answering all the questions, I was told I was a "good" candidate to file. We then proceeded to schedule a future date to talk again going into further details about my debt and expenses. What was really nice for me was i asked if we should talk over the phone or meet in person. Robert said it was my preference and really didn't mind if I chose either way. He understood that people were busy and couldn't always make time to travel to his office. However, he did suggest that meeting in person would be more personable. That right away made me feel a bit more relieved during the process. It gave me a sense of security in knowing he wanted to do his job and do it right. And if it meant putting a face to a file, then i was all for it.
On my office visit, I was greeted by Iris at the front desk. (Please pay attention to her. She is another instrumental person in the process). Very pleasant and nice lady. After meeting with Robert and getting all the things done during our discussion, Iris gave me papers to look over and sign and gave me my list of things to do over the next couple of days. She also told me she would be in contact with me from time to time til my hearing. And in the days leading up to my hearing, she always gave me detailed instructions on everything and anything. Don't worry, Robert was always available for me whenever I had any questions.
Now one thing before I end my review. You, as the client, must do everything asked of you by Robert and Iris if you want the whole process to go smoothly and without a hitch. If you do your part, and do it right, they can do theirs correctly.
Robert and Iris, thank you for everything. A huge weight has been lifted off my shoulders. Thank you again.

I was referred to Jeff by a family member who is familiar with him and has been for at least two decades. The issue at hand is still in process, and as such I will leave out details except to say that Jeff made himself available immediately and completely, listens very well, asks questions that help round out and complete the scenario in question from all sides, lays out what the likely course of events will be while still being upfront about the fact that there are no guarantees, as well as what is expected if the result is or is not what you hoped for. To date, his communication has been prompt, professional, and very clear as to what he needs from me and what the next step is likely to be. At the recommendation of my real estate agent, I contacted Allison and, after speaking with her, I immediately hired her. I was in the process of buying my first coop apartment, and I was overwhelmed by everything it entailed. Allison was extremely knowledgeable about dealing with coops, and explained everything to me along the way so I would know what to expect. She was always available to take my call, or called me back after I left a message. Allison was very patient with me when my anxiety level got the better of me at times. Dealing with a coop purchase, as I came to learn, can be a very tedious, time consuming and, at times, frustrating process. Allison spent a great deal of time going over all the coop records she needed to review as part of her responsibilities as my lawyer. She was aware of the fact that I was very eager to move out of my previous apartment, and advocated for things to move along as quickly as possible. I always felt that Allison was doing everything within her power to be an advocate for me. OK, so I just bought a house in Homestead and during the closing the lawyers were talking about my "new" taxes. Yeah, that's cool, they aren't too crazy, but anyway, they were saying that this guy was hired by the city and he's crushin' all of these slime balls who haven't paid their taxes in like over 20 years!! They were joking that if I didn't pay some taxes that were owed that this "Sherriff Cowboy" would show up and make sure Yonkers got paid. So one of the lawyers went on the computer and did a search and he said that this guy has gotten MILLIONS $$$$$ of dollas from a whole bunch of people who haven't like EVER paid their taxes - in like over 20 years straight. So I say GO GET EM' Mr. C. I want our COPS to get paid and FIREMEN to come to my house if I need help and TEACHERS to keep teaching my kids . . . and so I don't have to pay ANY MORE MONEY cause of these slumlords not paying their taxes!!!
