Worst experience, i told them my case I am a homeowner and every week they had me confused with others asking about my landlord and my lease agreement when i own the home and told them over and over. They are a waste of time sent over 100 emails and his staff is completely incompetent.

I do not want to share at the time . Worst experience that turned out due to ending relationship with Bui and Ilya. My advise is as follows : Go with big firms even if they do not say they they will do contingency -there are exceptions. We paid 400 for initial but it was waived and the other partners all agreed and voted to accept case, the new firm that is. Research everything you are told and question....bad attorney will Lie about statutes and time limits and say you have a bad case so take the low offer just to avoid working it.

Unfortunately, there is no option to give -5 stars which is what they deserve. I had the unfortunate idea of searching for a lawyer on google and so I decided to hire one of the lawyers (flavio Carvalho) in this law firm because he is Brazilian like me so I thought it would be helpful giving the facts we are both originally from the same country and he would fight for my rights. It didn’t happen at all. I arrived at the office for our first meeting (case i751) very worried and desperate for help. They charged me $8,500 to postpone my interview, accompany me to the interview, and come up with a different strategy to try to resolve my situation (other offices charged me $3000 for the exact same service). Even so, I hired them. (as I said: He is Brazilian like me, I believed he would put more effort into helping me). I was wrong. Two days later (on our second meeting) he came back and said we should go to the interview and he would prepare my husband and I for it. I agreed because I was desperate and I trusted him. The next day (after he had advanced the amount of $3000) Flavio called me and said that he had thought better of it (again) and that we should completely chance the strategy. By his decision, he decided to drop the case and guaranteed me a refund of the advance amount ($3000). four weeks After a lot of humiliation, a lot of calls, a lot of emails (all unanswered) they wrote me a check amount of ($1750). They charged me ($1250) for doing nothing but the slightest bit to give me any return. I saw in the reviews that I'm not the only person who fell into the exact same trap. I DO NOT RECOMMEND! DO NOT GO! DO NOT HIRE! Find another law firm because the chances of what happened to me and a lot of other people happening to you are high. It is very sad to see immigrants trying to take advantage of other immigrants instead of trying to help. I hate give bad reviews but I had to spend 10 minutes to let everyone knows who they are and I will spend hours if needed to review in all communication platforms that they are announced.

Hired for paid consult on the merits of two immigration issues. One was challenging and one was mundane. The associate lawyer was 30 minutes late for scheduled appointment. I had to contact this law office over three times in 30 minutes. I paid $125 for this disorganized, unprofessional attorney. The support staff were professional. I am very busy, plus my money and time. In the end, getting some undesired answer is not the crux of the matter, but the self-proclaimed "objectivity" was lacking for any competent attorney. On the second routine issue, effectiveness of his counsel was called into question, because the general nature of the issue should not be rocket science. I would very strongly advise not using this law firm for anything that is not routine paralegal work. Mr. Landerholm's reputation is badly tarnished by his choice of associate lawyers, and connections in Chinatowns are important. I don't expect one to put on airs, but partner attorneys are judged by the associates that one keeps in their law office. Mr. Landerholm projects his keen Chinese cross-cultural competency in videos but he allows mishandling by the underling associates. Sorry, but you earned a poor rating and a lot of negative feedback. Chinese will say: Meiyou guanxi (no connection) because of your employee. Good luck with future and more sophisticated legal clients who may speak Chinese, because this law firm does not warrant your business at their hourly rates.

At the time when I still was at state prison, and found out about my immigration hold, my family started to look for an immigration attorney to defend me from being deported. On 27th of February in the year of 2015 my family had a meeting with Otis. Right from the beginning, after heard specific of my case he quoted price of $25,000 and since my family and I were not really educated in the immigration, the price did't seem so outrageous plus on top Otis give us a "discount" which brought the final price to $20,250. And please keep in mind, that this the so called final price of $20,250 included only the first stage of the proceeding, which means in case of losing your case Otis would not appeal the decision unless you'd pay him more. I had been charged with aggravated felony, and the aggravated felony is the worst of the worst when it comes to the immigration. Now after reading many reviews, talking to my immigration attorneys and after being transferred from state prison to an immigration facility and being face to face with many people with similar situation, I know, that you can get an immigration attorney with more professionalism, knowledge and competence from anywhere from $4000 to $10,000, and who will provide you with same services that Otis charged $20,250 for. So here is the first strike against Otis the price he charged.But, like I said, since my family and I were not aware in details of the immigration practice and prices, Otis was hired in beginning of March of the 2015 to represent me. And here comes second strike against Otis, not then and not up to this day (1/20/2016) did I receive a letter from him where he assured me that he knows my case, or at least in the process of learning my case and that he is representing me. Now just for a moment, imagine yourself in my shoes: this is your fourth year in a prison, you are not prison material and you are literally counting days to your release - your entire living is about release! All of the sudden all your hopes and dreams are shattered-you are not being released on your released day, instead you will be transferred, God knows where and when.You have a million and then some more questions, you also have even more doubts! Can you imagine what a difference could one letter from your attorney make? I did not get that letter to this day.So the second strike against Otis is the lack of communication (and by the way, the first thing the attorney who represents me right now did, after being hired by my family, was sent the later to me) But let's keep going... with all those question on my mind I went to the law library to do some research - just want to remind you that this is happening in a state prison, where getting to the law library is a mission of itself-there was lot of Information... a lot! But all the information was like Egyptian's hieroglyphs to me- very discouraging! One thing I got, though is that I might qualify for Rodriguez bond. I wrote letter to my family and ask them to ask Otis about it. Guess what? He simply said (through email by the way, so I have proof if someone interested) that I do not qualify. My family researched this subject more online, so after they did it seemed that I was qualified (in fact anyone qualifies after six month in immigration detention). So my family emailed Otis again, but this time with some of the information for a back up, Guess what? He did admit that he was wrong. FYI: Rodriguez bond hearing was available since September of 2012 because that was when the U.S. District court for the Criminal District of California ordered a preliminary injunction in Rodriguez V. Robbins, a class action lawsuit for six month or more while they fight their cases. Well... but for some reason in almost 3 years this information did not reach Otis. I was referred to Attorney Chinchilla when a former attorney let me know, after a year of handling my case, that the matter was out of his league. Hector quickly assessed the situation, got a handle on where the pitfalls were, and where the greatest potential exposure to all was. He litigated the case to the extent required and then structured a complicated settlement involving various parties and made sure my exposure was minimized. He did all this and resolved the case in less time than it took my former lawyer to figure out the case was beyond his level of expertise.

Hector J. Chinchilla did a wonderful job in getting my green card in only 8 months from the first day I had my consultation with him. Throughout the whole process I was always advice and informed of each stage of my case and with excellent suggestions and instructions on how to to follow up my responsibilities to provide appropriate documentation. Also I was directed to accomplish specific tasks such medical examination, biometrics and he was very good in preparing us for our interview with the immigration officer. Last , he always informed me promptly of all decisions that were made by USCIS that affected my case. I am really happy to have put my case in his hands.

I hired John Craig back in January 2016 . I explained my whole situation to him and he told me that my case will take about 1 year . so I did trust him since he was nice in the first day and gave him a down payment and started to make payment with him every month . I had to go through immigration court in my case . I filled out all the documents necessary to start the process for my green card . After few months I started to check with him regarding my I-130 and he kept telling me to wait that was his best answer always is to wait so I did the waiting but after awhile I started getting concerned because time was passing and I didn’t have no answers and he was getting paid every month without any results so I started calling uscis and going to the building in downtown to ask about my case but that didn’t help either because they were telling me to check with my lawyer . After 1 year passed I got my first interview for my I-130 and after the interview I never heard of them again which was not normal . I start to check with John about that and all he could tell me is to wait I did enough waiting and after almost 2 years without getting my I-130 approved I decided to fire this guy and get new lawyer who can speak up for my case and stand the ground for me . Nothing was done with him it was horrible experience I will never forget . I wasted my time and my money Without any results . I had to share my story because I don’t want someone else to experience what I went through with this lawyer . DO NOT HIRE if you are going though immigration court you will lose your time and money . I couldn’t tell all my story because there is lot of other details and mistakes that were made in my case from this lawyer . I tried my best to summarize it in few lines so people can have an idea about this guy and think twice before they hire him .

I still truly appreciate his big help!! He always gave me contacts, replies within 24 hours when I was in trouble. He always encouraged me with his passionate messages. I truly hope that all lawyers in the U.S.A have to follow his personality!! I wish all of them could be like him. If you are in trouble as immigrants, you have to contact him. Hiring Pia was the best thing I've done for my Immigration process. From the very start, she was able to clearly communicate the game plan for my application for Residency Visa. She explained the requirements that I needed to satisfy to be granted the new status and kept me posted on the progress of the application such as the collection of supporting documents, preparation and submission of the application, keeping in touch with the USCIS. She would also very helpful in processing other necessary applications to make the change of status smoother (i.e. travel permits, etc.). Since then, I have recommended Pia to other friends and have hired her.

i had a horrid experience with Martin. I'll post more when I get a chance but for now let's just say Martin completely forgot who I was even after I paid him 2 months into my trial. He'd keep continuing my case even though I'd tell um not to. You really got the sense that Martin was a bit unkept even more so at trial. On our second day of trial Martin showed up in a wrinkled suit and completely botched the case. He had this attitude about him where he just didn't care and he walked in there and played the part completely unprepared-conoletely unopologetic. What a joke

I've used Mr. Knutsen twice both times with excellent results. First was a significant personal civil case. He was Spot on in everything. When i went to the police on a subject the officer saw his name and told me i had an 'Great Lawyer". I was pleased as i could be in what was not a pleasant experience, Later i had Mr. Knutsen represent me on a Bogus insurance claim. In one letter it went away permanently. Minimum with no fuss.

I called the Legal Aid advice line to speak to an attorney, and unfortunately, Amelia returned my call. Amelia is disgusting and rude. She antagonize me during the phone call, making ridiculous snarky comments. I would not recommend that anyone interact with her. Unfortunately, Legal Aid has someone so unprofessional working for them. SMH

Had to call several times. They have a message option however they won't return calls on messages which just intensities thre stressful situation. So before you call and are on hold for almost 3 hours, yes 3 hours, please note they will not help anyone unless you're being evicted. Yep, enough their website lists many other subjects. Oh and lily is in desperate need of customer service training courses.

Delayed review but I spoke with Tripti in March and she was understanding, professional and helpful. Avoid Anna M Hysell (High-Sell $$$) and this law office at all costs. Very unprofessional, seeking easy money and preying on unsuspecting individuals. They present you with a fake professional facade but underneath hide crooks, thieves and criminals who know no courtesy, compassion or humane treatment of others and will deprive you of your hard earned money with dubious jacked up invoices, unrendered services and lies. When you demand answers and/or question their ways, they cut you off. When you give them a retainer, good luck getting that back if you choose to terminate their service. It’s in her name,Anna Hysell or High-Sell $$$. Other attorneys had the decency to take out a chunk for their service and refund the rest. Not the case with this office. They were given a substantial retainer but literally did work worth of 3-5 hours max, and I am being generous with hours here. Zero, $0, nada, was refunded and they had the audacity to want to send an invoice for a deficiency? Dan, the weak man, will call you and instead of thanking you, will swear at you when you press him hard for all the crap he fees he justifies they charged. Complete BS. Luz, Maria and Jennifer will contact you here and there and ghost you when you need them the most. When we reached out to them initially, consultation and office communications were great until contract was signed and Anna was hired for an asylum case. Thereafter getting a response was far and in between. During an urgent matter, they did not even respond or acknowledged my email. On one occasion, they waited until their office close time to call and leave me a voicemail about an appointment call scheduled for next morning, without giving me any advance notice. I called them right back 2 mins later to express my anger about their practice but the office was closed. They did this on purpose and they never called the next morning regardless. Avoid at all calls. Attorney Anna Hysell, who likes to High Sell $$$, I will do everything to stop you from scamming people and taking their money. And for all those who you betrayed and took in the proceeds unjustly, hope you and your collaborators get the hardest punishments in this and next worlds.

We were referred to Anna by one of her customers but we had no luck what so ever, they were prompt in collecting the initial fee couple years ago but to date, she didn't work on my case , she wasn't accessible by phone nor she answered her emails. It would be more professional if she would say she can't do it upfront so we wouldn't loose money & time.

Estoy de acuerdo con las recientes opiniones no lo recomiendo para los cónyugues tardan mucho en llegarles el permiso y los mensajes solo te los manda con las secretarias ya no te da la misma atención . Mi padre volvió a aplicar y ya pasaron más de 9 meses para una extensión y aún no da una explicación.

This guy doesn't take his job serious, my brother calls him for updates on his immigration status and he is nowhere to be found! Now my brother received a letter from immigration that he's denied residency because the felt like his case is being neglected and that he has 18 days to file another application. I don't know how people that claim to help people and just gives them the run around sleep at night knowing that people's livelihoods are on the line!!! If I could give negative stars it would be in the -1000s. Take your Profession serious or just quit! They are always hiring at McDonald's

I needed a quick TN for an employee. Margaret jumped on a call and walked us through the process. She expedited preparation of the visa and then had another call with the employee to guide him through the process. She was very knowledgeable and skilled. Would highly recommend!

I'm convinced that Ann Riley is the most ethical, competent, and intelligent divorce attorney in the Bay Area. I interviewed a lot of lawyers and many of them were simply not confident about the law and fairly apathetic. Ann really cares in a way that is helpful. She doesn't waste your time, she is able to be firm when needed, and is extremely logical. She has a good understanding of the family court system in SF. Opposing counsel was unprofessional and difficult and Ms. Riley refused to engage, knowing that it would cost me more if she did so and that it wouldn't get me any further ahead. A lot of attorneys like to engage in time wasting activities because they know they can get away with billing you for them - there wasn't a single line item in Ms.Riley's bill that was questionable - she deserved every penny of her retainer. I wish I had met Ann under different circumstances but I'm really grateful to have met her when I did. She gives me hope that there are still decent and good people who find value in doing the right thing.

I will recommand this lawyer to everyone she's trustfull and very competent. She basically saved my life after trying so many lawers. She always keept me informed through e-mails. So after 4 months of thinking my case involving a infestation of mice & rats(caught 15)was being worked on, I found out that my case was terminated almost immediately after accepting my case because I answered no to one of the criminal background questions that mentioned having any recent criminal activities etc which is true, over 6 years plus is not recent so I guess they don’t trust to represent us because of that I feel it’s discrimination because what does having a criminal record have to do with us needing the help?! It shouldn’t have even taking me reaching out to find this out. Very unprofessional for a law firm & they don’t have your best interest obviously.. like how you can’t sympathize with a family that obviously needs representation & justice from & very inhabitable situation if that’s your job?!

I had a quick session with Julie Hartlé , first of all, she is an amazing person, very understanding, and also very professional and well-informed about the issues we were having. She has an extensive background with different housing departments and also knows disability law very well. She gave me sound advice and we set up a follow-up.
