I have just successfully completed a very prolonged and convoluted legal struggle with not just one but two insurance companies serving the Fort Lauderdale area of Florida. My insurance company and a construction company refused to even consider compensating me for very severe damage to my condominium by the latter during an outside rehabilitation of the overall building. The direction of the battle with both changed drastically when, on a recommendation, I contacted Attorney Kristin Demers-Crowell at Christopher Ligori & Associates, Attorneys at Law, in Tampa, FL.
Attorney Demers-Crowell and my relationship started with a long phone conversation during which she patiently and carefully listened to the facts of the case as I saw them. At the end of this phone conversation I felt sure that I was dealing with a serious, very knowledgeable, experienced, empathetic and polished professional. She gave me a list of items she required to allow fuller digestion of the facts and already in my mind’s eye I could see her sleeves being rolled up to do battle on my behalf.
The battle with my insurance company took a couple of years to win. During the maneuverings to limit the insurance company’s liabilities by their legal team at depositions, mediation and in written correspondence I was absolutely amazed by the cool, solid & knowledge based responses and demands by my unruffled attorney. I will at this point just say that we had a very good win. The latter could even be better described as a “win-win” because as part of the settlement with the insurance company she was able to prevail on them to allow us follow their subrogation claim on the builders insurance which resulted in further compensation for my damages.
I am extremely grateful to Attorney Demers-Crowell for standing by me for a prolonged period of time against two behemoths of the insurance industry. Her knowledge, approach and tenacity won the battle. Her thoughtful and reassuring approach kept me calm throughout the ordeal.

On multiple occasions our the insurance company for our home rejected our claims for the damage a sink hole had caused. Thankfully, Kristin Demers-Crowell stepped in and took charge of an incredibly frustrating process that had been strung out almost two decades. Within 4 months of her taking over my wife and I received a settlement check for the damage associated with the sink hole that enabled us to repair the our home. Without her expert guidance and professional help with a top notch geologist there is little question we would never have received a settlement from our insurance company. Suffice it to say Kristin Demers-Crowell was both efficient and incredibly effective and we are delighted to provide an unqualified recommendation.

Several years ago, my house was burglarized. I cannot say enough great things about Mr. Russell! I was involved in a car accident involving a fatality. I was taken to the hospital with back injuries and was out of work for several weeks. My personal injury case was handled with Mike Cecere a trial lawyer with 20 years experience. His ability was what I had hoped for..
There are a very small percent of trial lawyers to achieve being board certified that was impressive.
He took depositions from employees and witness .
With the witness the sworn statement was not enough ..he then went and traveled to another state to take the deposition.
He told me he finds them and travels when they have moved and
had made contact in this case to get an employer to allow use of a room at end of the work day.
Very impressive guy .. he took time to always call back or email in trial when he wouid be in the office to talk. The office was always available to meet . The office staff is excellent.
In a few words found his experience showed , was in good hands and he was to handling the case himself , the insurance co. knew he was a personal injury attorney that went to court ..that was also great.

When Atty. Matthew Collett was referred to me to handle my case, the first thing I did was reviewed his profiles against the other attorney profiles that I had in my list. I went to David's law firm to speak with his partner first, and his partner referred me to David. We hit it off immediately; he listens well, makes no assumptions until he has heard everything and takes notes so his questions are succinct and to the point.
My issue was with a rogue HOA president who just wanted to make certain homeowners lives miserable. David was prompt and thorough in all of his correspondence to the opposing attorney and made sure he followed up with me weekly, even if there was no movement. I really appreciated the fact that he let me proof all of the letters to the opposing attorney, and took my edits/additions to heart.
David was able to not only bring closure to the matter with the opposing attorney but made sure all of the false claims brought against me (with fines attached) were wiped clean from my HOA ledger so I was once again a homeowner in good standing.
I was grateful for David's work and would hire him again if needed.

Alex was one of the attorney’s that replied back to me on a lawyer referral site. I was in an auto accident where a driver ran a red light. I could not avoid hitting her.
This accident aggravated a previous injury and instantly life changed. The at-fault driver was driving her mother’s car. The Mother’s policy limits were mediocre, which just seemed so unfair after everything.
After doing some research, it was discovered that the at-fault driver also had a separate auto policy. However they we’re not very cooperative in the beginning. Thanks to Alex’s tenacity, both insurance companies tendered me their limits.

I am so grateful to Rachel Alters and her staff for helping me with my uncle's claim! She was amazing. This was a very difficult case, because my uncle was mentally disabled. He had failed to immediately make a claim, because he was too disabled to even do the simplest of tasks. As soon as I found out about my uncle's disability policy, I called several attorneys. They were hesitant to work with my uncle, because of the extensive work involved with backdating his claim. I then called Dell and Schaefer and it was one of the best decisions that I have ever made. They patched me through to Rachel Alters and the rest is history.
She worked diligently to backdate my uncle's claim and to secure his rights to future disability payments. We still have a long road ahead of us with regards to my uncle's disability, but I am so grateful to her for securing his right to disability payments. We will be able to use this money to make sure that he gets the health care that he needs.

I came to Dell and Schaefer after an attorney firm in Maryland decided in August they could not win my case and dropped me, with my appeal for Long Term Disability due in mid October. I contacted Dell and Schaefer in a panic from an ad I found on the Internet, I got a call very quickly, we talked about my case and at that time I was informed that Rachel Alters would be handling my case, I got a phone call from Rachel, she made me feel at ease right away, and asked me to send all my medical information I had to the firm. Rachel explained to me it normally takes 4-6 months to do an appeal, but Rachel assured me she would do her very best to win with the limited time we had remaining to submit an appeal. Rachel worked very hard, we had many very long phone calls and emails, even though I have never met Rachel face to face I feel she is part of the family. I got a call from Rachel the beginning of December letting me know we won the case and that Aetna would be reinstating my benefits back to April when they had stopped benefits. I had just came home from Johns Hopkins Hospital from back surgery, and it was Christmas time, what a special feeling that phone call bought. There is nothing more I could ask for.
