Mr. J T Hagans was an absolute miracle in my life. I had gotten into a car accident not too long after my sister had passed away and then shortly after I was diagnosed with a heart condition. When a car hit me, I just went blank and I didn't know where or what to do. I just kept driving which was a wrongdoing on my part. However, not only was he emotionally supportive and understanding, but he was was professional and provided me with knowledge about the law and what I could possibly be facing in terms of fines and fees. He basically broke every single thing down for me. He answered every phone call and email as busy as he was to reassure me that everything would be alright. He guided me throughout the entire process. If there is ANY attorney that I could ever recommend to a person whom is facing a traffic violation of some sort, I would STRONGLY recommend this humble, kind, intelligent and wonderful man. He is trustworthy and honest. I hate to say it but not many attorneys truly conduct their business in this fashion. What struck me most was that it was not so much about the dollar for him. In early 2021, I made one of my best decisions ever in retaining Barbara Thornell Ginn's law firm to represent me in the adoption of my stepson, whose life I entered in 2015 and whom I had raised since he was 18 months old.
Barbara was assigned to my case at the time and guided my wife and I through all of our available options from day one. Mine was a very complicated case as there was pending litigation involving my wife, the child's mother, outside of Florida that had yet to be resolved.
Barbara was able to confer with our out-of-state lawyer who had been retained three years prior to represent my wife in that matter. She never missed a beat. She and our out-of-state lawyer colloborated and conferred regularly, developing a very effective approach in the best interests of the child.
One of the many issues in dispute involved jurisdiction over the child and the two, semi-conflicting cases. Ultimately, the two involved judges conferred and agreed with Barbara's approach.
After two years of due diligence, coordination, hard work, and extraordinary legal acumen by Barbara and her firm, I was awarded the adoption of MY son (who is now nine years old) in late February.
As mentioned, the hiring of Barbara was an excellent decision, and I could not be more pleased with her and her firm's representation throughout the entire process.

As a human, a great reputation is one thing we all can control. This was something Deon helped me keep, and for that, I will always refer him as a great criminal defense lawyer for life.
I was in a position of being falsely accused of theft, which could have resulted me in federal prison for several years. In the very beginning, I do recall the stress I encountered and I can for sure tell you that having Deon on your side made this entire experience very uplifting, and empowering.
While explaining my side of my story, his solutions were immediate (Gave me solutions during my explanation haha, that's how quick). Before we even finished our call, I already felt that everything was going to be resolved due to the confidence, energy, and reassurance I received from him. With the court system backed up due to COVID, the length of my case extended 6-7 months. To imagine my experience without Deon, I can very well predict that those 6-7 months would have been very stressful on my end.

Had an extremely complicated driving history and needed someone who could confidently manage a citation that was previously adjudicated 4 years ago. Polk County judges are notoriously prickly about hearing issues previously adjudicated. Jay managed to successfully accomplish what several attorneys claimed the odds were "remote" at best. I must say that Jacob has reconciled me with trusting justice, especially in Florida. I wish I had known Jacob when my husband and I were looking for a lawyer in 2013. I ran into a situation in Pinellas county. Hired him the next day or so. Yeah, it cost some money. Very much worth it. He totally gave me a worry free representation. I spoke to several lawyers before hiring this law firm. Both Dan and Stephanie are former prosecuting attorneys and they drew on their experience from the other side of the table. I was falsely accused of Domestic violence on 3 counts while my wife was trying to steal my money and custody of our children.
