Unfortunately for me and my family things took a turn we never expected. In those short 7 years Mr. David Ballard and his amazing team have always been there every step of the way. They have always had the best in communication and expectations. Wither it was good or bad we always knew where we stood. Anytime even since the passing of my late husband his team has been there ready and willing to take the time to answer, guide, and knowledge me with wonderful information. I could honestly never have asked or even imagined an amazing team like his. He is definitely one of a kind and will always be our number 1!!!

Charged more than the normal fee yet there wasn’t anything complicated. Lacked follow up and communication. I was always reaching out for updates. Case took almost two years and never heard anything back regarding the case just a letter. Met multiple times and really nice but I think he takes on morecases than he can handle. He came highly recommended.

I was wrongfully accused of 12 counts of 1st degree felonies and 1 misdemeanor. David and his WONDERFUL team were hired I believe a week after being incarcerated I retained him to represent me. He fought time and time again to get me out of jail against the crooked county I was in but they always seemed to find a way to set David back but he NEVER gave up. After about 10 months we finally were about to go through trial but go figure, the DA was not ready still and then David demanded that I be let out on at least bond and the judge granted me a signature bond with an ankle monitor on all charges. That’s just the first small battle won. In the midst of all this I had a juvenile case come about regarding custody of my children and his team took that case load on as well but we will come back to that in a moment. From the time of retaining him to the day I was released on bond to the weeks to days before trial they stayed in contact with me and went over plans and everything with me almost every single week on how we need to go through this trial what to expect what not to expect the whole 10 yards. Just a reminder, they’re planning for this trial and also having to plan and go through the juvenile case as well so I can only imagine how exhausted they are at this point. So trial comes which took two weeks maybe even two weeks and a couple days but we were there from 8:30 in the morning until those lights shut off most days and they STILL met with me every single day to go over new angles to go at this whole thing. We get through all that and now we get to the verdict and all they’re hard work paid off. Not guilty! Second battle won! Then we get to just the juvenile case and that took some time with getting all the scheduling to match up with EVERYBODY involved but here we are almost 3 years from the start of this thing and we got my babies home!!!!! We’re not quite through the mud yet but I’ve got 1000% confidence in them to bring this thing to a happy ending. I know this has been a lot but just these few words is not even close to enough to show or express how amazing David and his entire staff are. I would hire David again and again for anything else in life as long as he is still a lawyer.

I was first time offender in the state of Georgia. I was referred to Mr. Wilson's firm where he accepted my case and made me feel as if I were a priority. Attorney Hughes is awesome!
I initially hired and attorney from a big name Law Firm to represent me in a child custody case. The attorney sold me a dream, got paid then basically told me the best she could do for me is get me standard visitation with a very high monthly child support payment. I replaced that attorney and hired Attorney Hughes, now I have custody and the mother has standard visitation.
Your case is only as strong as your representation . If you're looking for a attorney that will fight for you, Attorney Hughes is your lady. The little lady with big standing.

My name is Patrick, and I was heading home from work on the night of July 9, 2021, when life as I knew it turned up-side down. I was second in line at a stop light and proceeded to pull into the intersection when I was T-boned by an under-aged, intoxicated driver. As I looked to the left, all I saw where bright lights. I was taken to the hospital via ambulance, only to finally lay in the emergency room of a trauma hospital due to the extent of my injuries. My neck was broken, I was experiencing an internal bleed within my chest cavity, and I had 3 broken ribs, as well as, multiple large contusions covering my body, specifically my left hip and right knee.
These injuries kept me out of work and required around the clock assistance just to perform the simplest but necessary daily tasks. My wife’s co-worker reached out to us with recommendations for Hasty Pope based on testimonials from others in the community who also utilized their expertise. From the first call, Jon and his team were exemplary in their service to me and were also extremely professional. Sue was my primary contact, and she always made sure everything was explained clearly and provided a seamless transition from start to finish.

I was caught red handed, irrefutable evidence that I had made some poor decisions. Instead of fitting a losing battle Mr. Lail proposed a solution that would accomplish the best results. I was blinded by fear and thinking that I knew best but I trusted Mr. Lail and was home and safe in a fraction of the time I was deserving of. I doubted Mr. Lail for a moment and ended up looking like a fool when it all worked out like he said it would.
Look, Mr. Lail is not a magician and cannot guarantee you will get off without any consequence. However if you are smart, (well you wouldn’t actually need him, but when you do!) you will get a straight shooting level headed lawyer like Mr. Lail to be your pathfinder back to freedom. He will tell you the truth.

I put my trust in the reunification process in the hands of Molly Mindy and her team of paralegals. I called her office almost two to three times week and her paralegal Brittany spoke to me like she was a therapist and constantly reassured me to trust the process and make sure that I did everything that I needed to do as part of my parent case plan to remain compliant. She comforted me over the phone at times when I cried and when I asked a million questions in regards to my daughter’s juvenile case. They are patient and will encourage you to stay in the fight. I lost faith at times due to worrying, which is normal. But I trusted the process and with Molly Mindy’s representation I got my daughter back! A friend recommended Mr. Ison Jr. a day and a half before our court date. We contacted his office with less than 24 hours to go, discussed the case and he thought he could help and agreed to be in Lamar County the next morning. He is knowledgeable, helped tremendously by knowing the prosecutor, handled our case very well and sure saved us from a long, hard day on our own. Mr. Ison kept me informed every step of the way and that was what I appreciated the most. What started out as a felony ended up as a misdemeanor and that, as I have come to know, makes all the difference in the world. Our child has many disabilities and the school system has been very difficult to deal with. They continuously lie and refuse to give appropriate services and adhere to the IEP. We finally hired Ms. Estes. She got results. She is very professional, caring and determined. She doesn't allow the school system get away with doing the wrong thing. My children have benefited greatly from having had Jean attend our IEP meetings. Having her involved has meant that my children are receiving the services that they need to be successful in school. There are so many things I appreciate about her. She's professional, she's dogged in her attempts to get my children the services that they need, and she creates as little drama as possible. I felt this man DID, make a connectin with my case and I. He is very detailed and he will impress all whom he represents. He deserves an award. He is firm and straight forward. I felt he was also somewhat of a friend during office appoitments. I am a 32 year old woman with two kids an during certain conversation with Chuck Clements, I got real answers from true thought. I needed legal counsel in regards to my case. My son attacked myself and his siblings repeatedly. The last time he accused us of abusing him. DFCS got involved and it did not look good for us. We hired Alton Johnson as our attorney to help us fight these false allegations against us. DFCS was wanting to as the old saying goes “Throw the book at us”. We were looking at child abuse registry and all my children being taken away. All the allegations were FALSE. Mr. Johnson went to work for us and was able to clear our good names. My other children were not taken from us and we never even had to go to court. DFCS closed the case and no charges or anything else were brought against us. Thank you Mr. Johnson

Chris was amazing!! I had a year long divorce proceeding she was very persistent and accommodating. She was very compassionate and caring. Mr. Hilton suggested we just ask the court to transfer the guardianship which eliminated a lot of extra steps. He handled all the arrangements and we were successful in having the guardianship transferred.
