For a matter involving a security guard working for a well-known theater with lots of power, I interviewed 5 attorneys after reading "questions to ask before hiring an attorney" (so I was well prepared). The others were very good, but I thought Mr. Harper would be best. He was knowledgeable, experienced, and well-spoken. He explained procedures, options available to me, and what he would be doing and when. He was very detail-oriented and timely. The outcome of my case was exactly what I had hoped to get. If he handled other fields of law, I would hire him for them too.

I was charged with carjacking in Oakland, CA. Mr. Harper took my case. He worked really hard and was talking to the DA all the time. Mr. Harper convinced the DA that I wasn't there when the carjacking happenned, even though I was in the car when it was stopped by police a few days later. Mr. Harper made the police do a new line-up, and convinced the judge that the video of my police questioning was done wrong. The DA wasn't allowed to use my police interview video. At the last minute, the DA offered me a misdemeanor petty theft charge. I was sent home with credit for time served instead of going to prison. I will be thankful to Mr. Harper for his work for the rest of my life.

Ray is the best lawyer I've had, and I've had a few. He is well informed, punctual, and never misses an appointment or hearing. He's reasonably priced compared to most other attorneys. Ray has represented me for more than a year, and I wouldn't trust anyone but him to be on my side when I have to go to court, you shouldn't either.

I have consulted with Ray on two occasions. The first time I was looking more for advice . He was very forth coming and knowledgeable. I had never needed a lawyer before and was very apprehensive. He instantly made me feel comfortable and at ease. It turned out that I didn't need a lawyer at that time. Again, I found need of advice, and was back in his office. He was very helpful and caring but because I was not working at the time, I went with a court appointed attorney. Two times I consulted with him, never retaining him. He took the time to check on me and continued to care , even after I left his office. I pray I never need another attorney, but if I do he is the one I will call. A class act!

Mr. Hall has exceeded my expectations. My son picked up a drug charge and I thought he was going to get sentenced to some serious time. The first attorney we had didn't do anything for him, and I dropped way too much money on that guy. Mr Hall took my son's case and things started finally getting done. His office staff is helpful and knows what is happening when I call. They let me put half of the retainer on a credit card and took payments on the second half. He got my son a better deal. I wish I had called him first.

Pack your patience. This fine gentleman has a way of getting things done, they take awhile... but the way he drags things out with the prosecutors keeps the leverage on your side. There were times I lost my patience with him, but in the end I was able to see that his strategy is purposeful and effective!

My daughter was falsely accused of a theft crime at Walmart where she was employed. She had only been there a couple of weeks. A professional scam artist came thru her line and ended up stealing a large sum of money during her scheme. I went to an attorney I had known since I was 19 years old. He had his “associate” work on the case. For over a year, all we ever got was “make a plea.” I personally researched the case, found the woman who scammed my daughter, and discovered she (the scammer) had done the same thing previously and after the accusation against my 19 year old daughter. I made a notebook complete with her alias names, her other cases and charges all over the country for doing the same thing she did to my child. I tried to get “associate” to look at the notebook but he was mad because my daughter refused to plead guilty to something she had not done. Associate was sent on his way by a very smart judge, a new attorney was appointed to handle the matter and a new chance for someone to hear the truth of my daughter’s case. When it was turned over to this attorney, not one minute did I worry. That is all I had done since her arrest.
Today I received a text message from attorney BRUCE KAYE. The case against my daughter had been dismissed. He took the information to the prosecutor and she saw what we all already knew. My daughter was innocent.
BRUCE KAYE is one of the best lawyers I have ever dealt with. He listened, he investigated and he sought the TRUTH! My kid wasn’t a number to him, or just a case, she was an innocent 19 year old criminal justice student who planned on being a police officer and he did what had to be done to prove her innocence. This lawyer helped with an adoption that I had started to do pro se, I was having a difficult time with the situation as per judges orders the staff attorneys would not advise me on the policies and or procedures. My case is not over yet but when Chad came to a hearing with me, he was incredible. Nothing the prosecutor said caught him by surprise, and everything the prosecutor said, Chad had a rebuttal. In court, Chad is calm, he is not intimidated by anything, and he has a response ready no matter what.
I think he's one of the best real trial lawyers anywhere. He will fight your case.

I can't give my name or details of my case because it is still in progress. However, Chad is the only lawyer I spoke to at the beginning who said he would fight the case and go for a not guilty verdict. Thus far he has done everything exactly as he said he would and he keeps his clients informed throughout every step of the procedure. He is extremely thorough and he treats all of his clients with dignity and respect. There is no way to guarantee what a jury will do and Chad will tell you exactly that, but he will give you the best defense possible. I have complete confidence in his abilities and would recommend him to anyone who has been accused of something.

I was fighting for my life in 2023, being falsely arrested for a crime I didn't commit. Sad part there was witnesses and video footage to prove I was being set up. The police who came to the scene didn't care about talking to witnesses & neither did the detective care about the truth. First time ever in jail and looking at felony 2 with a court appointed lawyer and I was terrified by all the horror stories of my fellow inmates. My odds at getting one to actually care to show up and discuss my case with me were little to none. I heard continuously bad things about most court appointed lawyers. They finally assigned one to me four weeks in and by 9 am the next morning his team was there to work to help me. I was blown away. He immediately went to work for me and was never to busy to answer questions of any kind .and put the effort into my case. When my first court date arrived and was reset with no future date I was horrified. Within one week I was out of jail with case dismissed and back at home where I belong. I can't say it enough.. Thank you Anthony Cantrell. You were a cut above the rest.

MR. ELIZANDO handled my divorice that I started on my own. I found out it was going to be a lot more difficult than I thought. The Pandemic and other obstacles where getting in the way for me. I happen to run into Gus at the golf course explained to him what was happening and he said stop by and speak with him. As the parent of a teen (who made a dumb mistake and got into trouble), I found myself in a panic during the middle of the night trying to locate an attorney w/ juvenile / legal expertise. After reviewing many websites and analyzing attorney bios, David was a standout. He did not disappoint. From our first meeting, his expertise and articulation to us of the JV legal system and subsequent strategy resulted in a dismissal. His flat fee was clearly stated and reasonable. Retaining a blue chip attorney like David was very reassuring during a very stressful time especially, when there is a lot at stake. The impact of JV issues in background of your teen can certainly leave a negative "stain" or interfere with future opportunities if not handled properly. David is now assisting with the follow up for sealing the case and advising us regarding the delicate nature of disclosures as need for many applications for college etc.. To the person who gavce one stars, after carefully reading your reviews, I can only conclude that your experience either took place in the space of your mind or simply is the best of mud slinging. My attorney was fully open about the likely fees, and in fact capped them when they reached a veryu reasonable level. Most importantly, in this respect, my case was resolved after they capped my fees. In my book, thats a double dose of integrity and trust. So, my opinion - fully knowledgeable about the law, fully knowledgeable about the process, the way things polay out, the judges, the prosecutors, etc. As well, completely in command of the inevitable ups and downs the process navigates. You get the law, the context surrounding the law, the playbook, and the play with this firm. Couldn t be any better, and got a better resosultion than hoped...thanks to solid crafting. Couldnt recommend any more than this folks.

I had Jay Smith and my husbands attorney Randy Grimes was really taking advantage. I went to the courthouse and asked the secretary who beats Grimes...she secretly showed me three names. All women. I said now who is the bulldog out of the three and she circled teresas name. Teresa was considerate to my situation ... she saw and knew the tricks of my exes attorney. Finding yourself in legal trouble stinks, but when you do you just want it to go away. Not living in the Bastrop area I had no frame of reference when I needed some legal support. After speaking with a couple attorneys over the phone my intuition was drawn to Justin. My teenage son got into some legal trouble. Fortunately for us, Justin was assigned to our case as public defender, to which our bail bondsman gave a thumbs up. Justin was efficient, but kind, and helpful throughout the process. He has a good reputation within the local legal community. I think Justin is one big reason why the charges were dropped.
