I was wrongfully accused of a Title IX infraction. Marc is an exceptional listener and possesses the innate ability to ascertain facts from friction. After discussing my situation, Marc walked me through the Title IX process and explained how we should address the issue. Marc assisted in drafting a response letter to the adjudicate and coached me leading up to the interview. In the end, the accusation was not a Title IX issue, and flaws and false accusations in the claimant's testimony surfaced in which the case was ruled in my favor. I would not have known how to respond and properly defend myself without Marc’s assistance. Finally, Marc was always responsive and his fee for service was reasonable. Words cannot express the gratitude I have for Marc; but I will give my best attempt for anyone going through challenging and distressful legal matters to completely give him your trust!!! I truly did not believe my case would result in being COMPLETELY DISMISSED, and somehow Marc was able to get it done!!!!!
Filtering through my options of attorneys, Marc gave me the best offer of anyone and had my interest even more when he told me he was previously a prosecutor for several years.
I just followed everything Marc guided me to do. He constantly walked me through everything every time we met. The justice system is certainly intimidating, and he made the experience simple from the beginning. He explained what was happening, every outcome and exactly how they came to be, what things to expect, what things to prepare for and how to prepare for them.
Facing a number of F1 charges, getting caught in the wrong place at the wrong time, I was anticipating that I'd have to do probation in the VERY least. I hired Marc Chavez for a Title XI case I was named a Respondent for. To put it briefly, he was incredible. He was present at all of my interviews with investigators and provided me with useful legal counsel throughout the entire process. Marc without a doubt is in a class of his own. On the day of our hearing, the Complainant tried pulling a fast one on us by having a surprise witness show up to testify against me. Marc handled the situation amazingly. He managed to stay calm and continue to present our case in a clear and concise manner. If you find yourself being falsely accused of violating Title XI policies at your university, Marc Chavez will be key to your exoneration. I cannot recommend him enough.

I as involved in a car accident and found an attorney to represent me but after two months he decided he could not work my case because it was not enough money for him. I was referred to Ms. Smith and immediately I knew that I had someone on my team that was willing and able to help me. We came in contact with Meghan through Texas Tech University Student Legal Services because of a fee we had been charged by our apartment complex that was clearly incorrect and she helped us immensely in rectifying the situation. In my case, Texas Tech University's Office of Student Conduct and Resolution Center were investigating allegations of Assault, Threat, and Intimidation, while Investigators for Lubbock county investigated a few criminal allegations. As someone who was looking forward to graduating, moving, and starting a professional career, I began to wonder how I would deal with these very serious allegations. I already knew that TTU has a track-record of being unfair and uncooperative when someone is accused of any wrongdoing on campus, so I became concerned that these false accusations would be upheld by TTU and that they would REVOKE all of my degrees. It did not take much thought to realize that I needed to hire Meghan, so I did. As soon as she started my case, I felt a sense of relief and comfort because I knew that I would not go through the process alone. After a few months of working with Meghan and her keeping in touch with the DA's office and the investigator, the DA's office determined that there was "No Merit" to the accusations made by the individual, so they left me alone; however, TTU refused to give it up. In fact, TTU continued pursuing this for almost an entire year. While TTU does not allow an accused individual to have representation, because, as they will continuously repeat, "this is not a legal process"; Meghan was still incremental. She communicated with TTU often, sat in all of the meetings and pre-hearings with me, and always had a game plan. Even when TTU would give us less than 24 hours to review 100 pages, Meghan was ready and prepared to answer all questions and to make corrections where needed. She worked as if it was her degrees and livelihood on the line, which I appreciated. Oddly enough, it appeared to me that she was actually liked by the people who handled my case at TTU, which only helped my case. Meghan also requested all evidence the DA's office collected to find no merit in the accusations, and she was able to retrieve it ALL. She then sent all of the evidence to TTU so that we could use it during the hearing. She also made sure that all of the information we ever sent was included in my file so that I could use it during my hearing because TTU will exclude favorable evidence. In fact, Meghan caught several mistakes made in the evidence TTU collected, evidence that we asked to be included in my file was not and should have been, and she made them change the wording or paraphrasing of key information to make it fair for me. TTU's process is not fair and they deprive people of their bare constitutional rights. I will say one thing about this experience: It takes a great lawyer to win a case, but it takes a master of the law to win a case in a world where there are no rules, rights, or fairness. Meghan is definitely a master when it comes to the law. A year later and TTU found me not responsible for the laundry list of allegations they charged me with. Not many attorneys handle these types of cases because they do not feel they can do anything because of how unfair TTU is and because they are unfamiliar with their made up rules, but Meghan certainly is not intimidated. I definitely recommend Meghan as an attorney, especially if you have to deal with TTU.

I hired Meghan in 2015 to fight an inflated DWI charge on my behalf. Not only did she resolve the case with the assistant D.A. before we ever saw the inside of a court room, but she succeeded in getting the charges dropped to a much more accurate and fair charge. Simply put, justice was achieved.
We (the People) deserve more lawyers like her. She is as tough as she is knowledgeable about the justice system. I absolutely endorse her and say truthfully that hiring her was a great investment in my future. I shudder to think where I would be without her.

After hiring an attorney and having all kinds of issues in regards to calls not being returned and dealing with incompetent office staff. We decided to look for another attorney, thankfully we found Sherry Armstrong. She was very quick in responding to our numerous questions with thoughtful and detailed texts and email. We would get responses within minutes- what a great way to treat people and run a business. Her fees were also less than our first attorney. And oh by the way, she got our charges dismissed!! Ellic did a great job when I have having issues with probation; after I hired him he was down at the courthouse quickly, responded to my emails and phone calls, helped me turn myself in and consulted me through the whole process, even if I just had a minor question, he didn't seem annoyed by it and had patience with me.

I wish I could rate her more than 5-star as rating just 5 star is not enough for a person who is so dedicated to a profession, so caring for those in distress and above all for those who have been burnt previously by a class of greedy, money-hungry , unprofessional attorneys.
She is a Christian and a true Christian attorney who would spare no efforts to fight for you, disregarding amount of compensation she would get in the process.
I was so lucky that my good Karma prevailed and brought me to her to help me .
If one can judge an attorney by knowledge, experience, care , I think she is by far the best I have ever met in my 30 years of interaction by attorneys.

I went in for a free consultation and it was more than just a consultation she was very considerate and compassionate and really wanted to help and gave a lot more than just a free consultation she should have been paid for all the time she spent with me but it was free, in the end the only reason I didn't hire her was I did not have the affordable start-up fee she needed but when I can afford her and if I ever need an attorney for anything I will come to her always now!

My divorce case was fairly simple. It was just about the money. Bill returned calls quickly, during breaks at court, or mediation. Email turnaround was quick also, depending on the complexity of the information and documents to be reviewed and modified thus removing the necessity to meet in person to go over documents time and time again. This was a bonus for me!

We dealt with Bill on a fairly simple, yet unfrequent issue: seller refused to release 15k in earnest money after cancellation of contract. The issue? Paperwork reached seller at 5:06pm instead of the 5:00pm deadline.
I sent Bill copies of all docs, set up chronologically by me. He interpolated with advice and found all possible contract loopholes. Then recommended that I, the buyer, write the seller pointing out the faults of the contract, and that they would likely end up having to release the funds, plus fork-out all additional costs - likely a few thousand each. Worked like a charm. As Tony Soprano would say: baddabim-baddaboom. His final bill wasn't exorbitant either. Def-rec!

Guys ... please don’t do this alone! I started out doing the friendly, no-lawyer divorce. We poked around on the internet, read the law and I was about to give the farm away.
I’m a relatively smart guy and able to figure most things out, but this ... way out of my league. I had a very simple divorce, no minor children, no real assets - only a house, nothing really to "fight" for. I surrendered all the furniture and was trying to be fair.
Bill was great, laid out the facts, applied his experience (don’t underestimate the need to find someone with experience), looked at the whole picture, and talked me off the ledge. I was giving too much.
We ended up going through mediation, Bill was calm and drama free, which seemed to irritated my ex-wife’s lawyer - bonus. Bill was rational and thoughtful with the mediator.
Bill listened when he needed too, asked only the questions he needed, and gave me some great advice. I know consider this an investment that has paid off. I was looking at years of support and contact with my ex-wife. After mediation, that was it. No support, no contact, life is good now.
I highly recommend you at least talking to Bill, see where you stand. Then decide, but you’ll do like I did and move forward with him.

Contacted Ms. Icenhauer-Ramirez on the recommendation of a friend. She was everything the friend said she would be (see Review Title for qualities). She told us what to expect and what the approximate timeline was. She was very good keeping us informed about where we were in the process, next steps, when things would likely happen, etc. I hope we never need a criminal defense attorney again but if we do, she is our first call. Linda was an amazing attorney. I have had other attorneys in the past who can't even compare. She actually cares about her clients and is extremely nice. She was very responsive and great at keeping me up to date on what was going on. Nervous about my case, I consistently had questions and she was prompt to answer them. I came to Linda with a class B misdemeanor when I was already on probation and did not have a clean record in the past. I thought I was more then screwed. I my case I was arrested for possession of cocaine under 1 g and a misdemeanor Xanax charge. So I was looking at a felony and a misdemeanor. I have had a previous felony in another state which we all thought was going to be a factor in the final outcome. Channing being quick to move was able to get the misdemeanor dropped and the felony was dropped down to a misdemeanor. The reason that this was a great outcome was because I did have a previous felony. Whether you have the disease of addiction that has you caught up or you just got in trouble I would recommend Channing Neary. I believe that she takes every case is very personal and I believe she is very competitive. If I don't see fire in a lawyer I damn sure won't hire. She is straight up and I'll tell you how it is and extremely polite and kind at the same time. But when she gets in that courtroom then it's showtime because she knows your life depends upon it!

I hired Kelley for a felony theft case. My case effected my job, and I needed it cleared up quickly in order to return to work. Within 30 days of my first court date, Kelley had my case reduced to a misdemeanor deferred, so that I could return to work. Kelley worked diligently with the prosecutor and myself to get the matter resolved quickly. She has a great rapport with the DAs, and she kept me informed every step of the way. The day I hired her, I felt such relief because she has a true passion for helping her clients. Even after my case was closed, she still contacted me to make sure I understood all the requirements of my deferred adjudication and to help with anything else I may need. I had a felony theft case, and it effected my job. I needed the case dropped quickly in order to return to work and keep my position. I knew the minute I spoke to Kelley on the phone that I was in good hands. She attentively listened, asked questions, and showed empathy for my situation and genuine concern for my well being. Two days later we went to court for the first time and within one month my case was dropped to a misdemeanor deferred, so that I could return to work. Kelley helped me with a theft case that was ridiculous anyway. Not only did she explain everything that was going on, what could happen, she also made me feel instantly upon our first meeting that everything was going to be fine. I had been so stressed about this issue and when I met with her she made me feel relieved. She is extremely knowledgeable of the criminal court system, responded immediately to any questions I had, and she researched the case to the tiniest detail. I was amazed at how skilled she was and my case has been dismissed completely. She told me in the beginning that was what she was going for but that there were other possibilities. I always knew what was going on and what she was going to do each time we went to court. If you want a skilled attorney who will keep you well informed and also make you feel like you are her only client (even though you know you are not her only client) then I recommend you giving Kelley a call immediately.

Sylvia Escobedo was hired on my case for an aggravated assault with a deadly weapon charge. She kept me informed on everything that was going on with my case. Prosecutors came to her with pleas but the pleas wasn't options for us to take. She did her job as a great lawyer for 5 months and some days. Teana Watson handled my sons juvenile case, which was originally two felonies and two misdemeanors. When my sons court date came it was dropped down to only two misdemeanors. This was an amazing outcome because my son is very active in sports and school and he made a bad decision. Teana asked the judge for deferred adjudication and the judge was very hesitant because of the charges. Ms. Watson got exactly what we wanted deferred adjudication, so that he can learn from this mistake and move on in a positive direction. We can't thank her enough for the outcome of this case.

For a matter involving a security guard working for a well-known theater with lots of power, I interviewed 5 attorneys after reading "questions to ask before hiring an attorney" (so I was well prepared). I was charged with carjacking in Oakland, CA. Mr. Harper took my case. He worked really hard and was talking to the DA all the time. Mr. Harper convinced the DA that I wasn't there when the carjacking happenned, even though I was in the car when it was stopped by police a few days later. Mr. Harper made the police do a new line-up, and convinced the judge that the video of my police questioning was done wrong. The DA wasn't allowed to use my police interview video. At the last minute, the DA offered me a misdemeanor petty theft charge. I was sent home with credit for time served instead of going to prison. I will be thankful to Mr. Harper for his work for the rest of my life.

I have consulted with Ray on two occasions. The first time I was looking more for advice . He was very forth coming and knowledgeable. I had never needed a lawyer before and was very apprehensive. He instantly made me feel comfortable and at ease. It turned out that I didn't need a lawyer at that time. Again, I found need of advice, and was back in his office. He was very helpful and caring but because I was not working at the time, I went with a court appointed attorney. Two times I consulted with him, never retaining him. He took the time to check on me and continued to care , even after I left his office. I pray I never need another attorney, but if I do he is the one I will call. A class act!

Mr. Hall has exceeded my expectations. My son picked up a drug charge and I thought he was going to get sentenced to some serious time. The first attorney we had didn't do anything for him, and I dropped way too much money on that guy. Mr Hall took my son's case and things started finally getting done. His office staff is helpful and knows what is happening when I call. They let me put half of the retainer on a credit card and took payments on the second half. He got my son a better deal. I wish I had called him first.
