My case is not over yet but when Chad came to a hearing with me, he was incredible. Nothing the prosecutor said caught him by surprise, and everything the prosecutor said, Chad had a rebuttal. In court, Chad is calm, he is not intimidated by anything, and he has a response ready no matter what.
I think he's one of the best real trial lawyers anywhere. He will fight your case.

I can't give my name or details of my case because it is still in progress. However, Chad is the only lawyer I spoke to at the beginning who said he would fight the case and go for a not guilty verdict. Thus far he has done everything exactly as he said he would and he keeps his clients informed throughout every step of the procedure. He is extremely thorough and he treats all of his clients with dignity and respect. There is no way to guarantee what a jury will do and Chad will tell you exactly that, but he will give you the best defense possible. I have complete confidence in his abilities and would recommend him to anyone who has been accused of something.

First time ever in jail and looking at felony 2 with a court appointed lawyer and I was terrified by all the horror stories of my fellow inmates. My odds at getting one to actually care to show up and discuss my case with me were little to none. I heard continuously bad things about most court appointed lawyers. They finally assigned one to me four weeks in and by 9 am the next morning his team was there to work to help me. I was blown away. He immediately went to work for me and was never to busy to answer questions of any kind .and put the effort into my case. When my first court date arrived and was reset with no future date I was horrified. Within one week I was out of jail with case dismissed and back at home where I belong. I can't say it enough.. Thank you Anthony Cantrell. You were a cut above the rest.

MR. ELIZANDO handled my divorice that I started on my own. I found out it was going to be a lot more difficult than I thought. The Pandemic and other obstacles where getting in the way for me. I happen to run into Gus at the golf course explained to him what was happening and he said stop by and speak with him. Which I did and explained everything to him and he made me feel so comfortable and stress free. I can say that he handled himself in the most professional manner with me and while we where in court. He was as cool as can be when under pressure during the negotiations. I am grateful to Mr. Elizondo for the outcome of my divorce.

As the parent of a teen (who made a dumb mistake and got into trouble), I found myself in a panic during the middle of the night trying to locate an attorney w/ juvenile / legal expertise. After reviewing many websites and analyzing attorney bios, David was a standout. He did not disappoint. From our first meeting, his expertise and articulation to us of the JV legal system and subsequent strategy resulted in a dismissal. His flat fee was clearly stated and reasonable. Retaining a blue chip attorney like David was very reassuring during a very stressful time especially, when there is a lot at stake. The impact of JV issues in background of your teen can certainly leave a negative "stain" or interfere with future opportunities if not handled properly. David is now assisting with the follow up for sealing the case and advising us regarding the delicate nature of disclosures as need for many applications for college etc.. To the person who gavce one stars, after carefully reading your reviews, I can only conclude that your experience either took place in the space of your mind or simply is the best of mud slinging. My attorney was fully open about the likely fees, and in fact capped them when they reached a veryu reasonable level. Most importantly, in this respect, my case was resolved after they capped my fees. In my book, thats a double dose of integrity and trust. So, my opinion - fully knowledgeable about the law, fully knowledgeable about the process, the way things polay out, the judges, the prosecutors, etc. As well, completely in command of the inevitable ups and downs the process navigates. You get the law, the context surrounding the law, the playbook, and the play with this firm. Couldn t be any better, and got a better resosultion than hoped...thanks to solid crafting. Couldnt recommend any more than this folks.

I hired Ms. Copp to handle my divorce. She was very knowledgeable and informed me of all of my options during my consultation. During the time before my hearing, I felt very comfortable approaching her with questions and concerns which she promptly addressed. She gave me a very clear idea of what to expect in court. On my court date, she was fully prepared for a variety of situations and the entire process was quicker and easier than I had expected. In the end, we were awarded the judgement that we were seeking. Donnie was fantastic. I initially called an attorney’s office near my home that I was familiar with, and they themselves are the ones who actually referred me to Donnie for my particular circumstances.
I had “fix it” tickets for not having an updated address on my license and my registration had expired. I went online, updated the address, paid the fine, sent proof to the court. With the registration ticket, I updated my registration, paid the late fees and submitted proof to the court. Where I dropped the ball was overlooking the additional $10 fine that could only be paid in person. The League City Municipal Court had set a court date for me that I had missed and when I was notified via text from the city about my arrest warrant, you can probably imagine my bewilderment. I called the court and initially spoke to an extremely unsympathetic clerk who gave me two options: Pay the much larger fine now and have a misdemeanor on my record or turn myself in, spend the day and night in jail and roll the dice with the judge the next day.
This is all over an additional $10 fine that was in addition to the fees I had paid in updating my registration. Absolutely ludicrous, and this random clerk clearly had a bone to pick with me about missing the court date. I then spoke with the League City Municipal Court Administrator who was exactly the same. Pay the fine, enjoy the new criminal record or go to jail and pound sand. At this point I’m nearly livid at the absurdity of this kangaroo court and 20 minutes later I’m on the phone with Donnie. His fee happened to be exactly the same as the fine I was facing, yet with him I’d at least have a shot at getting this whole thing taken care of. So obviously, this is a no brainer.
Donnie immediately got to work. I admit I was surprised at how promptly he got into it. He gave me a phone call later in the same day after spending an hour on the phone with the same clerk I dealt with. In essence, this random court clerk somehow thought she knew the law better than an actual attorney with a resume like Donnie’s and he had to politely, but firmly put her in her place. She called the judge to confirm if she was right or Donnie was right and the judge put her in her place as well and minutes later the arrest warrant was pulled and Donnie had me squared away. I went back to the Municipal court to pay my $10 fine, gave the clerk the most smug smile I have ever mustered in my entire life and was on my way.
It’s a paradoxical shame that I met Donnie in these circumstances as he exudes competence and was a genuine pleasure to work with. I would love to do more business with him in the future, but I generally do not run afoul of the law and would have to screw something up majorly for us to have that opportunity. Rest assured however, that whatever circumstance I may find myself in that needs an attorney, Donnie will be the first I call. If the specific circumstance is out of his realm it expertise, I will still reach out to him and ask for a recommendation as I trust his judgment that much already.
If you’re considering utilizing his services, you are only doing yourself a disservice by not at least giving him a call. And to Donnie, thank you for everything.

I hired John in August 2016 for my divorce after having retained another attorney from this site in March 2016 for my divorce case. John was referred to me by an attorney at work. On our initial consultation I was looking to switch attorneys because of having a simple divorce case with a irregular retirement division which my first attorney made very complicated. John was presented with the same information I provided to the first attorney and he understood what I was wanting to achieve right away. He gave me three possible solutions with the pros and cons and advised as to my request not the norm. John said I was being very generous, but knew my intent was to do the right thing. We only met the one time and as of 11-4-16 I am divorced and was the result we wanted from the beginning with decree and a retirement QDRO.
I would highly recommend John and will be referring him when people ask. I think a personal reference is the best review source to find an attorney to meet you need.

Troy helped me out of a situation where the State kept saying they were waiting on my blood test and that the test was lost. As long as my blood test was "missing" I was to stay sentenced as accused. He would have had the case dismissed if he could have, but he knew the Judge was not going to allow that without having had me spend more months in jail away from my family. Mr. McDaniel was an excellent choice to handle my daughter’s speeding ticket. The situation was overwhelming (multiple violations plus no proof of insurance). Mr. McDaniel was highly engaged with us throughout the entire process. He showed a willingness to have every detail taken care of, sharing information with us along the way. He went out of his way to have conversations with the prosecutor, the judge and even the court clerks. He made sure we were informed and making the right choices to result in the best possible outcome. Even after the fact he confirmed with the court that the case was truly dismissed, and emailed the proof to us, saving us another trip down to the courthouse. As a teenager, our daughter, as do many children of that age, made some poor choices. She was hanging with the wrong crowd and ended up drinking which lead to the involvement of law enforcement. We contacted Amanda Erwin and discussed the case. We immediately felt that she showed true compassion and understanding for our daughter's situation.
