Everyone in the office from the attorneys to the ancillary staff are stellar. I have always been recognized by name right when I walk in. (Only office to ever do so) There is absolutely no attitude, it's almost like visiting with a friend (and I do consider them friends after the way I have been treated.) Nancy was a life saver when our lives got turned upside down in a ugly real estate battle with a mentally unstable, unethical, crazy woman and her family. I don’t know what we would’ve done if we didn’t have Nancy! We are so grateful to have had her on our side while we went through this terrible situation.
It starts with my husband and I driving through our neighborhood in seeing the most adorable house with a “FOR SALE” sign in the front yard. We love it. We make an offer on it. They except it. We put our current house up for rent, we find a tenant she signs a lease agreement, she’s packing her bags getting ready to move in. We are about 2 1/2 weeks into the escrow process, we receive message from the sellers real estate agent that our seller has decided she doesn’t want to sell her house anymore. Yes, we know that real estate contract is a legally binding contract. Seems like she has to go through with it… Thing is, she simply will not cooperate now. Her mother gets involved calls our loan officer threatens him. The home appraiser needs access into the house, they won’t allow him access. They won’t reschedule. And they won’t give a reason for backing out. And we wanted to be agreeable, we’re reasonable people, but now we have nowhere to live we have already put our other house up for rent the only option for us was to hire an attorney. We end up hiring Nancy, and even though these people are crazy and unreasonable and become nasty she works it out! and we get our “dream house” after all.

Errol suggested since I live in a condo, I should contact the property manager to handle an issue that my neighbor want to involve me in directly. His advice was 100 percent and I have not heard from them again. The issue was a rainstorm and the neighbor suggesting it was my fault that water was coming in their condo.

Lauren Garner protected me against assaults on a family trust by exploitative relatives and unscrupulous attorneys. She fought admirably and ethically for six years. It was long and arduous because the opposing, unscrupulous attorneys (one of whom has been reported to the bar multiple times) tied things up in the court with numerous expensive tricks, threats, and maneuverings-- all of which ultimately failed. She always maintained the highest standard of ethics and fought with intelligence. Eventually she was able to negotiate a settlement that was as fair to me as possible given the fraud perpetrated by the other side and bring an end to a battle that had been abusive of me and the memory of my father who had established the trust. Had she not been there for me, nothing would have been left of a trust established by my own father. She is sympathetic, well organized, knowledgeable. I can not speak too highly of her.

I can't say enough good things about Lauren Garner as an expert in probate law. I’m guilty of what most are, a preconceived notion of how someone or something will be or turn out, before allowing a fair chance. In other words, I didn’t let the fat kid play quarterback...turns out he had a damn good arm. Jacob Fausette, in every way, shattered my perception of public defenders. Keep in mind, he also has a law firm with his brother, along with the grueling docket of cases handed charged to him by the state. Well, I assumed I would get little to nothing from Mr. Fausette, and could you, could me, could anyone really blame him. I don’t think so. Now, hear I am, telling you how WRONG I was. The outcome, in light of my legal circumstances, turned out better than I could have ever hoped, thanks to Mr. Fausette. He got a better outcome than perhaps spending thousands of dollars or hiring five different attorneys could’ve gotten me. He was persistent, he showed conviction and here I am praising him for his efforts. He negotiated tirelessly with the prosecutor, and would not just settle for an easy plea. He is sharp, straight to the point, and willing to actually listen to your side of things and fight for the outcome you hope for. He knows the law and is experienced working with many of the judges and state attorneys. Myself, along with many others who put themselves in the hands of attorneys who are also human and tired and overworked and work based on pay, are lucky and should be grateful to have a lawyer like Mr. Fausette. Is this a new standard that Mr. Fausette is creating? Probably not, however, it’s great to know that lawyers like Jacob Fausette are available to those who may not be able to fork out a few hundred bucks an hour for his or her attention or services. I can’t imagaine what paying Mr. Fausette would get you. Atticus Finch...well, certainly an ode. Thank you, Mr. Fausette, an ode to Atticus indeed.

I found myself on the wrong end of a lawsuit, which unfortunately in USA is all too common. It was completely baseless but when you are being sued you do have to respond to the suit or settle the suit. I was being sued for an exorbitant amount of money and on a rather tenuous, if not frivolous claim. In reality the basis of what I was being sued for would not have withstood a judgement even if the plaintiffs established jurisdiction, which they likely would not have had I chose to fight. The grounds of the settlement are confidential so I can only say that in some states the basis of the suit is actually thrown out by judges based on law and the plaintiffs are forced to pay attorney fees and a penalty for bringing such a suit. Unfortunately Arizona does not have these laws. As a result I was in a panic and just wanted out of the suit. I had previously hired a "blazing gun" type attorney who specialises in this type of law but he made matters worse. There was an offer of settlement but it involved large sums of money to be paid and I was not guilty of any wrongdoing so I was not willing to do that. I had contact with Brad Denton who was also amazing and Sterling handled my claim and to be honest I am so happy he did. Within weeks we had a settlement offer as soon as he replied to the lack of basis of the lawsuit. I would likely have won but been out a lot of money so when he had got the opposing counsel to simply see that they really did not have a winner they offered a settlement that had little impact on my life, no out of pocket expenses and it has now been dismissed. I did have to fall on my sword and do something I disagreed with morally but as it has no effect on my life the saying, "I'd rather be happy than right" comes to mind. I am thrilled with his ability to see through the facts of a claim and relay that to his opposing counsel and effectuate a settlement I otherwise do not think I would have got. I cannot say enough good things about Sterling. He is personable, approachable, knowledgable, funny, and talented as a lawyer. What he did my "blazing gun" lawyer who allegedly specialised in this type of law was unable to do. I highly recommend him as a lawyer and his firm is great, they give their time and do not just give you time you are paying for but had contact both on an amicable (human) basis, as well as great legal communication.

When I first went to Scott over a stressful contractor remodel job that ran way over the estimate. The contractor was suing me. Scott calmed down my fears over the legal process. Whenever I needed to talk to him he was there. He always responded back to emails and text messages quickly. He has a quiet, calm personality, but don't let that fool you. If you need a trial attorney he is an excellent negotiator with a solid ethical code. You can expect because of his ethical code that you will not be over billed for his time.
