He is a consummate professional. Gary is an amazing attorney. He was actually referred to my family from a different attorney who does the same work. When the other attorney heard what we were trying to accomplish, he said we needed to call Gary because he is the best and he is absolutely correct! We were able to quickly get a guardian/conservator in place and he certainly turned a very difficult, stressful situation into a manageable one. He got things done with lightening speed as I'm sure this could been a long drawn out expensive case. It says a lot when another attorney will turn down business to refer you to best. After 28+ years' experience as a licensed real estate agent in the State of Arizona, I found myself involved in an earnest money dispute for the very first time. (I was the buyer). Although the seller/seller’s agent fought bitterly for my $15,000 earnest money, after the receipt of Aaron Green’s formal demand letter the sellers immediately signed the mutual cancellation form and title released my $15,000.

Lorenz and Kari were a pleasure to work with. He worked with me on everything in meeting my court room needs even though they were not his normal type of practice. I contacted Lorenz for some business law help. Specifically, I had some questions about a contract and NDA that were being drawn up, and I wanted some answers from a local attorney. It was important for me to understand the language of the contract, and there were a few things that weren't quite making sense. Lorenz provided quick responses, and a no-nonsense translation and explanation of the legal language that I was stuck on, as well as great advice on how to move forward. Not only would I contact Lorenz again for legal help, I would also recommend him to anyone in Show Low, Lakeside, or the surrounding areas. He's a local legal expert who's easy to work with.

I am the owner of a large business so hiring lawyers is something I have had to do as part of the job many times. Here is why I give Melanie 5 stars:
*She was referred by an attorney that knew her by being her opposition in a hotly contested case and he had a lot of great things to say (and I trust him, completely, as he is my friend)
*She screened me as the client and not the other way around, although she encourged hat. She won't take the client hat can pay her but only the client that has a real case she is willing to sign her name on. She is not free, don't get me wrong, but she's more than fair in her rates.
*She is up front about costs and risks - it's the firs thing she explains. Unlike almost everyone else, there was never "I'm getting you paid" or someing equally ridiculous. It was "I can't gaurantee anything in this business, no matter how correct you are legally or facually" - what? Honesty?
*She is aggressive as can be, but professional - I am not embarassed by an over-the-top crazy person, but I am proud of the fact that she is no taking anyone's crap
*She is not afraid to sue and will do what she says she will in her leters to the other lawyer (it really is not a threat - it is what is coming if there is not a resolution)
*She litigates cases as fast as possible, doesn't take BS from anyone, and remains ethical no mater what - she tells her cliens (me, at least and she said everyone - I of course believe her) that she will not ever pursue a case to the point of crossing lines she is not 100% proud of, as in, no loss of integrity and unethical activity is not up for discussion
*Dirty lawyers make her sick - she will fight them and be mad with you! She is genuinely PO'd when she calls to tell you what was filed for no reason or bad reasons like billing the file
*She is in favor of the fastest resolution - she encouraged setlement at every step and encouraged me when appropriate - she is not in it to bill the file and does not bill in the shower
*Nobody working with her is any different - her partner is her husband and they are high school sweethearts. Silly as it sounds, they are as good as it gets by way of "good people' and they have an adorable family you will get to know if you hang around long enough or simple talk with her or her husband, Justin
*Remeber the saying "good things come in small packages" - small firm, small lady (she's not exactly the tallest one in the room, lol), but not at all small work - impressive is an understatement!
*She knows the HOA community well - the regulars know her and her firm, and they don't want to mess with her unless they think they can win - insurance defense is anoher story, as that means the atorney can bill and bill and bill until someone in the big insurance company finally notices and then like magic it's time to setle! Melanie predicted this like a psychic, although she's not- she's just been there many, many times.
*Ingelligence. I don't mean run of the mill smart but really, really sharp!
*Ethical yet aggressive as I could have hoped for. IF you don't think this firm is strong enough for you, then you want the dirty attorney and not the one that acts professionally and follows ethical rules all attorneys are supposed to follow
*Economical. NO billing in the shower or anywhere near it! Fair billing at fair rates. You do get what you pay for, but you actually get a bit more here. If you go to the lower rate lawyer, you will likely have an ambulance chaser type of person.

*I would refer this firm and specifically Melanie to my kids - that is how happy I am.

I engaged Matt LaVelle to help negotiate a successful conclusion to a complex business problem. Some of our family trusts made equity investments and also were leaders to an operating business, which is very heavily regulated. The business performed poorly. Matt was able to identify a buyer for the business who planned to re-purpose the main asset. The relationship was complex because we had a business operator, landlord and other investors involved. He was able to negotiate a very successful conclusion, even though the landlord turned hostile and the business operator ended up with little to show from the arrangement.
Without Matt's personal minute-to-minute attention and his sensitivity to all nuances for the various parties involved, this transaction could never have come together. The end result was a very good outcome for the landlord, staff, customers, the new business owner/operator, and all things considered, for us. The former business operator achieved a graceful exit without liability or potential legal action. Matt truly negotiated a win, win, win arrangement for all parties. I would heartily recommend Matt to assist with complex litigation and sensitive negotiations. He is bright, capable, experienced and results oriented. He is 5 stars in my book.

I was involved in a car crash where a guy with a 20ft trailer passed me on the shoulder of the one lane on-ramp shortly before entering the freeway. I was represented by an attorney who dropped the case when I was unwilling to accept a ridiculous settlement offer from the insurance company (Allstate). I called all of those injury / accident law offices which advertise constantly on the radio and billboards, the answer was always the same „Sorry, if it’s already in litigation, we are unable to take the case“
When I was about to give up and represent myself, I stumbled upon Eric’s phone number and I was surprised that I was able to talk to him directly, not through some „intake secretary“. He immediately told me that he would be happy to represent me but that he had an appointment on the day of the hearing which was scheduled a few days later. He called the court and was able to get another continuance, (the hearing had already been rescheduled several times).
The end of the story: We won the case. Eric was extremely well prepared and I was impressed how he presented the case. I don’t think that any attorney could have done a better job. The other party was represented by a mean former prosecutor who tried to blame me for the crash. I am not sure what the outcome would have been without Eric.

I was in the middle of a personal injury case that started heading south in late 2007. Mr Thomson guided me through the process necessary to substitute him as my counsel. His representation through a trial setting resulted in a defense counsel, representing my opponent, offering five times the settlement amount that was offered through prior counsel. He explained to me later that not all attorneys accept pi clients with his commitment to follow it through a trial setting. In my experience, his professionalism and courtesy toward me as with others involved was beyond exceptional. As client, my views were in part unrealistic and perhaps naive or ignorant are accurate descriptors. Anyway, he remained cool headed right down to the wire and set aside time for me along the way and afterwards to make sure I felt in the know. I think that you will agree his people skills and professional candor make him second to none. I mean that he won't waste your time and you will find his manner extraordinary.

I was referred to Corey Foley, by another attorney and a family member. I lost my mother in January and inherited her property. Needless to say her lenders were not cooperating with my requests and turning an already stressful and devastating situation into a nightmare. Nancy was a life saver when our lives got turned upside down in a ugly real estate battle with a mentally unstable, unethical, crazy woman and her family. I don’t know what we would’ve done if we didn’t have Nancy! We are so grateful to have had her on our side while we went through this terrible situation.
It starts with my husband and I driving through our neighborhood in seeing the most adorable house with a “FOR SALE” sign in the front yard. We love it. We make an offer on it. They except it. We put our current house up for rent, we find a tenant she signs a lease agreement, she’s packing her bags getting ready to move in. We are about 2 1/2 weeks into the escrow process, we receive message from the sellers real estate agent that our seller has decided she doesn’t want to sell her house anymore. Yes, we know that real estate contract is a legally binding contract. Seems like she has to go through with it… Thing is, she simply will not cooperate now. Her mother gets involved calls our loan officer threatens him. The home appraiser needs access into the house, they won’t allow him access. They won’t reschedule. And they won’t give a reason for backing out. And we wanted to be agreeable, we’re reasonable people, but now we have nowhere to live we have already put our other house up for rent the only option for us was to hire an attorney. We end up hiring Nancy, and even though these people are crazy and unreasonable and become nasty she works it out! and we get our “dream house” after all.

Errol suggested since I live in a condo, I should contact the property manager to handle an issue that my neighbor want to involve me in directly. His advice was 100 percent and I have not heard from them again. The issue was a rainstorm and the neighbor suggesting it was my fault that water was coming in their condo.

I contacted Kyle for a consultation regarding a dispute I had with my neighbors regarding their tree uprooting our shared fence and the subsequent frivolous counterclaim they made to scare us out of proceeding with our case.
Kyle was very sympathetic and fantastic at listening to our situation and asked great questions to frame the case.
Kyle ultimately guided us in a way that did not warrant hiring him as we were able to pursue the case in small claims along with our insurance provider defending the counterclaim.
I was very appreciative of the time he spent helping us as well as not trying to take advantage of us by coercing us into hiring him.
I hope I never need to engage an attorney again, but since that is unlikely, I will be contacting Kyle and highly recommend him.

Lauren Garner protected me against assaults on a family trust by exploitative relatives and unscrupulous attorneys. She fought admirably and ethically for six years. It was long and arduous because the opposing, unscrupulous attorneys (one of whom has been reported to the bar multiple times) tied things up in the court with numerous expensive tricks, threats, and maneuverings-- all of which ultimately failed. She always maintained the highest standard of ethics and fought with intelligence. Eventually she was able to negotiate a settlement that was as fair to me as possible given the fraud perpetrated by the other side and bring an end to a battle that had been abusive of me and the memory of my father who had established the trust. Had she not been there for me, nothing would have been left of a trust established by my own father. She is sympathetic, well organized, knowledgeable. I can not speak too highly of her.

I can't say enough good things about Lauren Garner as an expert in probate law.
