Attorney Wilkie was successful in recouping a loan I had made to a publicly traded company when I was employed as its CFO/COO. It was no small feat given the company is undercapitalized with its only true asset being intellectual property. Many other attorneys with whom I consulted refused to take on the task, but Counselor Wilkie was intrigued by the prospect stating, "This is a very unique case the likes of which I haven't seen before. I want to do it."
The CEO of the company schemed to shield the company's patent and software development from the judgment we eventually obtained. Attorney Wilkie then tracked the intellectual property which was fraudulently transferred through two shell corporations in different jurisdictions and perfected my lien on the corporate assets.
Once my lien was perfected, the CEO still stonewalled from paying our judgment. Counselor Wilkie then drafted a motion in an effort to put the company into receivership. The CEO subsequently ignored our service and failed to appear at a status hearing. Attorney Wilkie then succeeded in arguing that the CEO had abdicated his fiduciary duty to the company by failing to appear and got the court to attach the judgment to the CEO personally.
Then I finally got PAID !!! I got back all my principal along with interest and legal expenses.
I've been involved in a wide range of litigation over my forty years in business. I have nearly three years of law school as part of my education. Attorney Wilkie's complaints and motions were extremely thorough, well researched and expertly drafted. At no point did the judges and magistrates challenge or doubt his arguments. My only regret is not having met Stephen Wilkie years ago.

Emma Kremer was my divorce attorney starting in June 2012. From day one Emma was there for anything I needed regarding my case. Wells Wakefield has represented me in multiple areas.
In 2015, Wells helped with pro bono work helping a friend of mine visiting from another country apply for asylum, and, eventually a work permit. That friend now has work papers and is legally living, working, and paying taxes in the US.
I periodically consulted Wells on other business immigration matters from 2015-2018 that did not require a formal retainer, specifically options for startup employees who were non-US residents. In one case, Wells taught us about Optional Practical Training, which was the right answer at the time, and Curricular Practical Training which one student's university offered. In another case, Wells explained how we could reimburse international interns' expenses without compensating them in a way that would violate US labor law.
I also referred Wells to a friend whom I have asked to write his own review here. I can say that that friend has repeatedly thanked me for the introduction and told me that he personally credits Wells for getting his difficult immigration problem solved and his visa approved.
I recently retained Wells and his partners to represent me in a civil proceeding where Airbnb renters caused $20,000 of damage to my home. He and his partners did a fantastic job explaining the pros and cons of litigation and how the process would work. I closely read the quality of their filings and they did a superb, careful job setting out the facts and applying the most favorable applicable law to my case. I had a dubiously smalll case, with a wicked wench of a local adversary inflating accusations to flying pig proportions! Mr. Kahlish penned out the extraneous but unfortunately non-prosecutable details of my accusers' mud slinging, and did a great job of penning the chase off in snout, err. short order. I don't know how he got in good with the area D.A, but I'm sure it was case law rather than my head that they ended up chuckling about just before my case was thrown out. Issac Newton or King Khalish, this lawyer put me in a enviable position..he rules!
