I have spoken with 3-4 different attorneys regarding my landlord/tenant matters, and of those I talked to, I felt Maymei Szeto had much more patience to listen to my situation and evaluate the pros/cons of what can and cannot be done. Some lawyers were very cocky and wanted payment right away to get started on work when they did not even know the full story. Maymei took the time to discuss with me the whole situation, understand what my end goal is, and access the best path with least financial and time impact. It was a stressful situation for me, and in desperation, I was eager to take what seemed to me was the “easiest” route with little regard for the consequences of it later. Maymei was dedicated and worked tirelessly to negotiate terms that I felt achieved my goals and at the same time minimize my legal risks. I spoke to a few lawyers, but decided to hire Maymei Szeto because she seemed honest and aggressive. She also offered a good value, compared with other lawyers in the San Francisco area.
Thanks to Maymei's persistence, I got what I was entitled to in the end. I think she scared the other side into settling on my terms because she made it clear that she'd take it to the jury if that what it would take. She must be part pitbull!

I can stay with confidence and without hesitation , my sole recommendation is Ms. Jennifer Ani. Ms. Ani has represented me for the past year and a half in a child support/custody " battle" to say the least.
Ms. Ani accomplished what most would deem impossible. I can finally say with an overwhelming amount of joy, my case is closed and the outcome was exactly what Ms Ani and I intended/ hoped for. She accomplished exactly what she said she would all while Insuring my daughter's well-being remain priority throughout the case.
I speak from experience when saying it is easy to lose sight of what you are fighting for a midst all the accusations, allegations, and overwhelming emotions that are heard and said during such a trying time. Ms. Ani never once lost focus. She is honest, calm, aggressive when needed, organized and managed to keep me calm and composed throughout my case which in itself is a miracle. Her level of expertise coupled with her passion for family law is abundantly clear to anyone who has the pleasure of speaking with her.
This was not a black and white case. On the contrary, it was an extremely complicated case that involved sexual assault allegations, child protective services, possible weapon charges, alleged drug use, kidnapping, money laundering and the llist is endless. Most attorneys would shy away from such a case, but not Ms Ani. She was not intimidated by the work ahead of her, rather she was confident in her ability to get justice and protect my daughter. I was kept up-to-date on every detail including, but not limited to email communication with opposing counsel. There were no surprises, and all of my questions were answered in a timely manner (anyone who has ever had an attorney knows that is not a common occurrence)
Going to court can be overwhelming, intimidating and better yet distressing, especially when your child is involved. Ms. Ani made it a priority to ensure I was more than prepared for each hearing leaving no detail untouched. I felt confident having her by my side throughout this difficult time. I am not sure I would've been able to hold it together as I did without her support, knowledge, compassion, and of course, representation.

We were having issues with counsel previously assigned to a claim, and reassigned to Hiep to aid with resolving a workers' compensation claim that was dragging on unnecessarily. Under Hiep's direction we were able to resolve the workers' comp matter quickly, and also an outstanding medical lien issue, which Hiep was able to resolve well under authority. Highly recommend for civil litigation issues in California, which can be difficult to navigate for companies.

I appreciate the opportunity to share my unfortunate experience with Dolan Law Firm. I also appreciate the time the case manager, Mercedes, took to briefly listen to my concerns. I didn't expect to receive services from Dolan Law Firm from the questions I was asked during the information (intake) gathering. I messaged them since their website was advertised on another website as a possible law firm for civil rights cases. I read their reviews and a lot of reviews seem to be accident (personal injury) cases. Possibly there's a quota that needs to be fulfilled or the documentation that was requested that I emailed to the case manager was reviewed and or searched possibly for a statement regarding a accident and or personal injury, I am uncertain. I would have preferred to have received an email message regarding the type of case(s) the law firm is/was currently interested in taking.I realize not every person and or potential clients can be 'pleased'. However, the few negative reviews listed for this law firm have concerning and possibly valid points that I think potential clients may (or may not) want to consider. I did not receive services from this company/law firm, so I would not recommend this company to a friend or colleague.

Working with Sandra and her colleagues was by far the best experience I had regarding a legal matter! She helped me navigate a complex and very personal case. Which required a deep understanding of very intimate elements. Sandra showed great empathy, always treated me with dignity and respect. Navigating the US legal system as a foreigner is anxiety inducing. Having the right attorney is vital! Sandra, on top of being super competent, has a great personality. Reached out to Jennifer needing assistance with commission/monies owed and a potential Work Visa issue due to a contract not being honoured, very combative firm/management.

A friend of mine referred Jenny to me prior to my termination. When I was abruptly terminated, Jenny called my employer immediately to let them know I was already represented by council even though she had a deposition to go to that day. She made time for me when I needed her help most. This did not change through the ten-month process to come to a settlement. The other side all but ignored our communications and attempts at settlement hoping we would just go away. But Jenny does not go away, she stays and fights for her clients. She ultimately drafted a well-researched and very strategic complaint and gave them a short window of time to either respond or she would file the complaint in Superior Court. They immediately responded and the case was settled within a week. I ultimately received about 2.7 times my original severance offer which represented a very significant settlement. Jenny always worked with me on the fees which I felt were very fair. She is a dedicated, intelligent and experienced attorney who can keep things in perspective and reassure you when you have doubts. I don’t think I would have ever been able to get through this process and with this outcome with anyone other than Jenny.

I have spent months trying to understand my rights. I have contacted the EEOC, the ADA, the Job Accommodation Network, the EDD, and the CRD. All of these organizations send me back to one another. None have been able to answer my questions.

I’ve known Michael now for 10 years and was impressed with his attention to detail and the way he knows the law better than most while knowing when to strike and when to wait for the bait. Michael is by far the best litigator I have met and that is why I hired him and to see the other side continually dig themselves out of holes Michael put them in and he continued to do this until they simply couldn’t or didn’t have a way to remedy their case or side. The law works in favor of those that do the right thing and stick to what is in writing and what is on a contract. Michael worked extremely hard on my case and countless hours were out in while putting together all the pieces and creating a story from a timeline that he created using a method that made sense. I found Mr. Matiasic online and he was the only one of three other lawyers who responded wanting more info. The others did not want to persue the case, thinking it hard to prove. Mr. Matiasic was the only one who asked to meet with me personally to discuss the case and it was only with Mr. Matiasic asking questions and explaining to me the what we needed to prove, that I was able to give him the solid information (photos) that resulted in a successful settlement.
