My firm hired Jake when one of our clients wired funds to a scammer in a wire fraud situation. I found him after searching the internet most of the night and determined that he might be the guy that I was looking for to help us. When money is wired to a fraudster the likely-hood of recovery goes down by the hour, knowing this, I called Jake before he was out of bed, leaving him a message. He returned my call within 15 minutes, and I began explaining our situation to him, to say that he hit the ground running would be an understatement. He didn't talk about fees or payment, that was not his concern, he was interested in helping us and knew what needed to be done and fast. After gathering the needed information from me, in an efficient manner, he quickly got in touch with our client and started working his connections from his time in government to halt the further transfer of money. He had people assisting him at the every level of government including the secret service, he was focused on doing whatever it took to get our money back and he knew that certain people had better odds of assisting in that outcome. At the end of a long and stressful day, Jake called and informed me that the 109k would be returned to our client in the next couple of days. I am 100% certain that without his help, the result would have been different. Your situation, may differ from what we used Jake for, however it would be difficult for me to believe that Jake's strategy development, sharp decision making, connections combined with his willingness to take action quickly would not be the type of attributes that solve most problems.

We suffered a devastating house fire and on top of that the insurance company was short-changing us to the point we could not even consider rebuilding, which is when we sought Maury's assistance. Maury was very helpful throughout the entire process. He is a polite professional who is also very knowledgeable. At every stage of escalation throughout the dispute he put the scenario in perspective, always accurately predicting how the other party would react, providing us with all the data needed to make a decision. We ended up taking the matter to court as other avenues failed to lead to resolution. Maury is not a fan of endless litigation and has a realistic perspective on what can be achieved. At the same time he shows the willingness to escalate the matter to force the other party to come to a resolution. This delicate balancing act is necessary in obtaining the best outcome given the circumstances and that is where Maury's extensive legal experience shines. The insurance company settled with us for a satisfactory amount. I strongly recommend Maury for an attorney based on our experiences.

Looking for a lawyer isn’t something you want to do. But when I found Stacey & Jacobson, I found something special. I wasn’t sure what was going to happen to me after I got hurt on a barge. I wasn’t able to work the same job and was faced with not being able to work on the water. I didn’t know my rights when the insurance company started calling me. I represented myself in a civil protection order case for almost two years. It was exhausting and took a huge toll on my mental and physical health. Scott is amazing! He litigated a big win for my case against one of my former tenants. My case was rather unique as the defendant was a lawyer himself, and basically told me if I decide to sue him, he will make it long, painful and expensive for me. I called a handful of lawyers but Scott was the only one that was passionate not only winning the case, but make sure the defendant understands his behavior will not be tolerated. Scott was mindful of my expenses and I efficiently brought an action against the attorney and in the end, he paid you every penny owed, interest and the great majority of your attorneys fees. I am very happy with my experience with Scott and his team and would definitely hire him again.

A direct competitor to our business was posting defamatory information about our company online. Scott sued the competitor for defamation. Scott warned us all along that because we could not prove actual damages, the amount of damages awarded was completely within the discretion of the jury. He jokingly would say the jury can award you a ham sandwich and a cup of soup or $750,000. We spent seven days in trial. Scott took command of the courtroom from the beginning and maintained control throughout. In his closing argument, he asked the jury to award $750,000. He underestimated the power of his presentation of the case. The jury came back with an award of $900,000. Scott and his team are masterful at their trade. Highly recommend.

Jocelyn and Linsey were the key players in helping complete my case when I was rear-ended.
