Looking for a lawyer isn’t something you want to do. But when I found Stacey & Jacobson, I found something special. I wasn’t sure what was going to happen to me after I got hurt on a barge. I wasn’t able to work the same job and was faced with not being able to work on the water. I didn’t know my rights when the insurance company started calling me. They actually listened to me and understood what my family and I were going through and most of all they were there for us every step of the way. I experienced a life changing injury aboard a tugboat that ended my career on the water that I had worked so hard for. Title says it all and I 100% mean it. I had a problem with a client halfway across the country and had to find someone to help me with the matter. My wife and I came to Terry after we had the misfortune of being hit
by distracted drivers. We had never been in an accident before. We
were nervous about litigation, but our insurance company was bullying
us into prematurely wrapping up our medical treatment.
Terry explained the litigation process in simple terms. He was
readily available to answer our questions. He got our insurance

I got into a car accident at a young age, and heard about Ryan from a family friend, Ryan was super professional and easy to talk to about what was going on, and he helped me through every step and explained things very well. I represented myself in a civil protection order case for almost two years. It was exhausting and took a huge toll on my mental and physical health. Scott is amazing! He litigated a big win for my case against one of my former tenants. My case was rather unique as the defendant was a lawyer himself, and basically told me if I decide to sue him, he will make it long, painful and expensive for me. I called a handful of lawyers but Scott was the only one that was passionate not only winning the case, but make sure the defendant understands his behavior will not be tolerated. Scott was mindful of my expenses and I efficiently brought an action against the attorney and in the end, he paid you every penny owed, interest and the great majority of your attorneys fees. I am very happy with my experience with Scott and his team and would definitely hire him again.

A direct competitor to our business was posting defamatory information about our company online. Scott sued the competitor for defamation. Scott warned us all along that because we could not prove actual damages, the amount of damages awarded was completely within the discretion of the jury. He jokingly would say the jury can award you a ham sandwich and a cup of soup or $750,000. We spent seven days in trial. Scott took command of the courtroom from the beginning and maintained control throughout. In his closing argument, he asked the jury to award $750,000. He underestimated the power of his presentation of the case. The jury came back with an award of $900,000. Scott and his team are masterful at their trade. Highly recommend.

I was in a really bad hit and run car accident June 6, 2023. I took my time to review plenty of attorneys before I found Boohoff Law. The reviews I read about them were unbelievailable. Jocelyn and Linsey were the key players in helping complete my case when I was rear-ended.
