Unacceptable experience. See my feedback below to the firm after having an awful experience on what was a very simple request.
"The manner in which your firm has been communicating with me is bizarre and almost robotic...On top of that, there was no material explanation as to why such fees would be necessary. For your reference, I reached out to two of your competitors, all of which promptly responded to me via email with a normal conversation and discussion that involved a human back and forth with questions, and elaboration on my request. It was refreshing. Secondly, the potential fees of up to 4 hours for $550/hour for a reaffirmation were referred to as "ridiculous" not only by your competitors, but from other out-of-state counsel that I have worked with in the past. On top of that, some of which offered alternatives that require no fees whatsoever. In conclusion, the manner in which you conduct business and communicate is not only seemingly fee-driven instead of sincerely helping the needs of a potential client, but also not a fit for me."

So, I have a very challenging case. It spans two states and two different courts in Riverside County. Did I mention a very challenging Ex? Long story short, Valarie (probate area of practice) and Carolyn (family law) are amazing. They have fought tooth and nail for me. Let me be clear….this is not a “discount” law firm. The old adage, you get what you pay for. I needed competent hard working lawyers. Lawyers who knew the ins and out of each issue. That is what I got. Their guidance was/is worth every penny. These two women are amazing and I am so thankful for finding them. I can’t speak for anything outside of family law or probate, but I can tell you if you have an issue in these two areas, use them.

I worked with Joanne on a prenuptial agreement. This was my first time dealing with a lawyer so I had no idea what to expect. Joanne was extremely professional, responsive, and easy to work with. She explained the process to me very thoroughly and I truly feel like she had my best interests at heart. If it weren't for the the opposing counsel's side, the process would have wrapped up within a few weeks due to the quick speed at which Joanne is able to work. I would definitely work with Joanne again on any legal matter related to marriage/divorce, although I certainly hope I won't have to :)

My divorce case was a horrible one, and I retained Maxine from 2021 til now, 2023 and I am so glad that I found Maxine, she is an amazing attorney, she is tough and to the point when dealing with the other attorney, I went through lots of difficult time with my ex and Maxine always there to give me good advice and she's always trying to protect my right. I retained Maxine Ho as my attorney for a period of time between 2019 and 2020. Due to early mistakes on my part, my divorce case had turned complex and was challenging for just about any attorney to turn around. I was fortunate to have Maxine consider representing me given the circumstance.
Maxine is a great attorney who is efficient, polite, honest and responds in a timely manner. She has the ability to apply aggression if and when necessary, and she also stands her ground if and when in disagreement with her client, with good intention and in good faith - in saying so, I can highly recommend her.
I have not come across decent attorneys even after an extensive search over a period of 4 years; however, I can say that Maxine is one of the few good ones.
Unfortunately, I was forced to part ways with Maxine - nothing to do with her service but due to my financial limitations alone. I would like to express my heartfelt gratitude for her legal advice, time, and efforts representing me.
If you are looking for an attorney and haven't made detrimental mistakes thus far, you should consider Maxine. And, even if your case is complex, consider a consultation - she will at the very least guide you correctly to ensure the best possible outcome.

He made my case close by the court on August 31 2021 because he did not show up twice and did not serve the other part. He also said that nothing changed or he had to tell me after my case was dismissed thanks to him. After he did not show up the first time he had the courage to ask for more money .he will be reported to the state bar and sued . What a mistake was hire him, I lost my case and 2 years of time.Joe is incompetent, untrustworthy and lazy . He keep not answering messages and never reopened my case. He refuse to refund my money Wich he never worked for . The reviews on Facebook are from friends and family.

I cannot imagine having been cared for better by any legal team. I chose Soheila in 2021 for her smarts, her near-30 years of experience as an attorney, and the depth and strength I observed in one who had weathered hardship through her many accomplishments. But it was her compassion that confirmed I'd made the best decision for myself and my child. She was skillful in her arguments and strategy before the judge. I felt so well taken care of. What other attorney would have Zoomed with me even in sickness to help prepare me for a court-appointed meeting? And I came to see how keen she'd been in her advice. I was deeply touched watching Soheila and her paralegal Lynda Walker fight for my son as if he were their own. They treated me with great humanity - day and night from what I experienced at my former attorney's. Lynda is a gem, on her toes, flexible, hard-working, committed to the client, humble, and sweet. She slaved over my case, doing much of the writing, watchful of me on paper and in person, guiding me gently while encouraging me to use my voice. In the end, Soheila and Lynda proved their colors in the thoughtful support they showed when The Other Side and I wanted to move to third-party mediation while my ex-to-be found himself distastefully pressured by his attorney to avoid mediation and keep litigating, a course that clearly by that point was not in our son's best interest. Scheduling an appt. was very easy. Both Roxanne and Cristal we are very professional especially when I need to reschedule the appointment to another day and time. I needed to consult mr. Navarrete on insurance regarding my resignation, the type of references that I should expect my former employer is allowed to provide. He also helped clarify the documents that I received from my previous employer. He was also very patient in listening to all the concerns that I had leading up to my resignation. He addressed all my concerns and questions and help me put my mind at ease in finding my next role without any issues. I would highly recommend him to a professional who needs clarification and assistance in regards to employment law.

Attorney Arthur Navarette and his staff are true professionals who get the job done - the right way! I am a Silicon Valley executive who first consulted two other attorneys about a severance agreement but felt like they really were just going through the motions. In my gut I felt I was wronged by my former employer, so I decided to get a third opinion. This time I contacted The Navarette Law Firm. When I called their office, Mr. Navarette's assistant Roxanne was very professional and accommodating in setting an after hours appointment that fit my busy schedule, and more important one that was before my deadline to respond. When I arrived for my appointment with Mr. Navarette, his other assistant Cristal was also very professional, really nice and got me into my consultation appointment right away. In the consultation, Mr. Navarette was very thorough and asked several very pointed questions that neither of the two previous attorneys had even asked me. He pointed out to me that my employer technically had broken the law and explained exactly why, and in non-legalese. He was very up front with me and didn't sugar coat anything about the weaknesses in my case. He then asked me a question that neither of the two other attorneys even bothered to ask: he asked me "what is your goal?" I told him my goal was to get more money in severance pay, have a clean record, and move on with my career. I ended up hiring Mr. Navarette to re-negotiate my severance package. I was being offered 12 weeks of severance pay and he got me 52 (one year). He also ensured that future employers would know nothing about my termination, by making the severance agreement mutually confidential. Mr. Navarette kept me informed every step of the way and provided me with excellent legal advice and excellent legal services. I am thrilled with the result that Mr. Navarette achieved for me and highly recommend him to anyone looking for an attorney who really knows how to get the job done right!

Said he would take my case, then was unresponsive for a week, scheduled a meeting, and then said the day before the meeting that he couldn't take my case. Never called me at any point to discuss the potential case. Was a bad situation because things are often time-sensitive and he didn't respect that (up front) and made me waste several days chasing him.

As much as I appreciated Lisa's expert legal insights and her ability to communicate those well, her office operations and paralegal support was lacking in my case. I had numerous paralegals, which caused confusion and delays. Then Lisa was suddenly unavailable (for personal reasons, I think, which can happen), and my case was handed off to a more junior attorney who did not know me, was not especially good at giving support, and who spent a lot of time collaborating with a financial expert that the firm hired to help strategize in some grey areas regarding what was community property vs. my ex's separate property. They had a legal strategy that fell on its face when it was presented to the mediating judge, and this junior attorney had no plan B... throughout the rest of the mediation they gave no help in legal strategy or negotiating advice, but left me to make all the decisions on my own. I ended up with far less than I had been led to expect, and my legal and financial consulting bills were huge. Lisa never reached out to me personally to explain her absence, and when I shared that I was disappointed in how things ended up, she was sadly very defensive of the junior attorney and took no responsibility other than to waive a few minor fees on the final invoice. I think Lisa is talented, but not sure she's good at managing a team. The office seems to have a history of turnover.

I approached the Zonder Law Firm to help assist me with a custody and child support issue. I decided to go with them due to their success rate with settling these delicate matters outside of court in a respectful, and amicable way. I highly recommend Lisa and her wonderful assistant Sharon to get you through one of the most difficult times in your life. Lisa is efficient and trustworthy. She means what she says, and says what she means, in a clear and understandable voice. My ex and I had already gone through the divorce process for 4 months (almost in court) with individual lawyers prior to finding Lorna. Our individual lawyers, while claiming to be on our side did not take any steps towards settling out of Court. In fact it was more my Ex's lawyer who milked him for every dime she could get her hands on. She had no intention of working with my lawyer and basically has us headed full speed to Court with huge lawyer fees along the way. We finally talked and realized we could come to an amicable situation and found Lorna.
Lorna fit us in VERY last minute which was appreciated in ways I cannot express because we were 2 days from a Court appearance. She listened to what we wanted, talked through a few open issues with us and by one session we had an agreement. We rushed her for final documents and she went above and beyond to have them for us within a week. I cannot thank her enough to helping us.
Lorna is calm and accommodating. If you are looking for someone who will work to have your differences wrapped up quickly (not dragging it out like every other lawyer in town) then I think you should consider her services.
I have no complaints.

We came to Lorna knowing that collaborative law would be the smartest, most efficient choice for my ex husband and myself. Lorna took the time to really get to know us, our situation, our personal issues. This made a significant difference in our dealing with a highly emotional affair.
I want to publicly thank Lorna for all the hard work, clear communication, care and follow through she put into our divorce. She was kind and thoughtful, listened well and responded to both of our needs. I never felt that she was taking sides or wasn't looking out for the best interest of us both....that was exactly what we wanted and expected from a collaborative lawyer.
I would highly recommend Ms Jaynes. She is an excellent lawyer with many skills. She will guide you through the divorce maze and yet stay clear and open....just what is needed.
As for collaboration vs. the 'family court' approach, we are glad to have chosen a route that didn't divide us further. The collaborative approach was so much more cost effective....I can't imagine how much we would have spent had we both hired our own lawyers! Also, I feel with Lorna's help and the collaborative process we both had far less stress than going to court, our issues were settled in a non-adversarial manner and she managed our conflicts, emotional issues and relationship issues creatively.

Divorce is never ideal and an incredible hardship on families, I can honestly say that after living through it. If I had felt there was any other way for reconciliation, I never would have considered it, but after that decision had been made, I found myself looking for the next step.
After hearing that there was an alternative to being a docket number in a traditional, drug out, expensive, process for divorce through the court system, I began a search through Google for Collaborative Law and found Lorna's name. After talking with her, I found her incredibly supportive and informative from the onset. That continued well after the last document was signed. I always felt that she had my best interests at heart while maintaining what was best and fair for the whole family. Never being through this before, she provided the legal experience and knowledge that I needed because, honestly, I just didn't always know what I was legally entitled to. I found that she always kept me informed of where we were in the process. She was very approachable if I had a question and, equally as important, she answered promptly which was very much appreciated. It did a lot to relieve the anxiety that just comes with the territory. I would have to admit that I was not always an effective speaker through the process and there were times where my mind drew blanks, but because Lorna had taken the time to get to know me, my voice was heard through her and she was able to put into words what I wasn't always able to do for myself. I don't think that my case could have been settled any better than it was with Lorna and certainly not as fast. She was exactly who I needed at that time and I'm grateful that I Googled Collaborative Law and found her.
I can't discuss the value of finding Lorna without discussing the benefits of Collaborative Law for anyone that may be searching right now. The process of Collaborative Law provided a means for divorce in a nontraditional way. It is a process where issues can be discussed and unraveled across a table with the help and guidance of specifically and specially trained Collaborative Attorneys who keep the discussions on point, fair and productive. It differs from mediation in that each spouse retains a Collaborative Attorney. It also provides a way for you and your children, through referred Licensed Family Counselors, to have a voice in the custody plan instead of being told what that will be by a Judge who doesn't know your family. That was a driving force for me.

I would not recommend Chandra for any Family Law proceedings. At times she was condescending of me and she did little to nothing to resolve my case. She consistently had an excuse as to why she could not appear and she did not perform due diligence in researching the avenues available to represent me in court regarding the laws which were clearly being broken and the contempt being committed by the other party of my case. I wasted all of my savings on her to end up in a worse position than when I started. She is inept in understanding and navigating domestic abuse and manipulation of the court system by abusers in custody cases and is unable to perform at a level which is expected of her in regards to dealing with narcissistic personality disorder and post-separation abuse, which she touts being exceptionally knowledgeable about. I am extremely dissatisfied with her services. I also reached out to her office to request an itemized receipt of all my expenses over the course of the time she “served” me, yet never received that information, only excuses and promises of a call back which was never received. Find another attorney, especially if your impetus for seeking an attorney is the well being of your children in family law disputes or custody proceedings.

Opposing counsel and all future and past clients take notice. Ms. Miller uses gaslighting and frequently launches personal attacks, fabrications, and makes disparaging comments about the targeted spouse/parent that she knows are NOT true. She is “unprofessional” and “unethical.” I know divorce is not easy, but working together with your partner is really going to save you a lot of money and help you reach a common goal. I wish I knew that then! Sadly, Ms. Miller is incapable of helping anyone achieve a common goal. She antagonizes and upsets the other party while trying to convince you she is compassionate and on your side only to rack up your legal fees by encouraging the court to schedule court date after court date...in hindsight I realize that now. All the while you are paying her to prepare and appear in court on your behalf. She preyed on me while I was trying to work through a difficult time in my life. For that, I would never recommend her!

Let me start off by saying I usually don’t go and Karen over issues like this BUT . Come on now I have a lemon law case with quill & arrow . We filed back in March of 2023 . I bought a pretty expensive car roughly over 100 k and as soon as I purchased it a month later it was giving me issues . Took it to the dealers ( multiple ) and they couldn’t fix it . I had video evidence and tons of paperwork showing the issues . Fast forward now going on 18 months with basically no update . If I don’t call I don’t receive any type of updates. And when I do call I get “ they are working hard on your case “ for last 6 months . It’s frustrating because I’m trying to get out of this car and purchase another one . Help

I had an extremely disappointing experience with Morley and Upton. Their communication was virtually nonexistent, and they often wouldn't respond for months on end. Even after my medical treatment was completed a year ago, my case is still open with no clear resolution in sight. I strongly advise looking elsewhere for legal representation.

I gotta be honest, I did not know what to expect halfway into a highly contentious, long, drawn-out battle in my divorce. COVID didn't help the process either. The Court ordered a Minor's Counsel. A friend of mine instantly knew who she was having dealt with custody issues in her divorce as well, and told me I'd love her. She was SO right. From day one, Barbara was open and honest with (both my ex and) me, but more importantly, brilliant with my teenager. They developed an excellent rapport and my teen completely respected and trusted her. She would remind me when I was ignorant or incorrect, and praise me when I had the right approach. Firm, but always professional. She was impartial towards us parents, but absolutely represented my kid's best interest. After my child refused to have contact with their mom, she further recommended Dr. Liberman as a Reconciliation Counselor, as they have worked together for years. I can only offer gratitude and praise for him as well. In the end, I was awarded full custody until my kid's 18th bday, and we remained protected from my ex-wife. The Court did the right thing, not only in their initial decision granting a DVRO and Custody, but also in introducing us to Barbara Fritz, Esq.
