I hired Barbara to handle my divorce for me. She talked a big game but her performance was less than stellar. She seemed distracted and never understood the details of my case. I asked her a few question about delays in filing the proper forms with the court. After questioning her, she became aloof and argumentative. In the end, she charged me a lot of money and did very little.

I recently had the unfortunate experience of working with David Martucci from Martucci & Associates, a law firm in Orange County, CA. My ex-spouses attorney, David Martucci, not only provided false documents and presented fraudulent false statements under oath in court, but also repeatedly refused to meet and confer with me over 10 times, showed up to court unprepared, and failed to file important trial documents.
To make matters even worse, David produced a written transcript of a video and changed the facts from the video to say that I owned 100% of a company that I only owned 1% of despite having personal knowledge and documentation showing my true ownership only being 1%. This was a baseless and misleading representation that caused significant harm a d long term damages to my case.
David also presented a Profit & Loss Statement from a company that I was working for and lied to the court saying that it was my company when in fact I am just a W2 employee with zero ownership. His lies have greatly impacted the outcome of my hearing.
He has no problem presenting false evidence in court if it benefits his client.
I also witnessed David leaving in the same car as my ex-wife after court. Seems a little weird if you ask me.
I would caution others to carefully consider their options before retaining this law firm. While I understand that every case is unique, my personal experience left me with a lack of confidence in the legal system. Honesty, competence, professionalism, and a strong commitment to their clients' best interests are critical in the legal system, and I did not feel that these values were upheld with David martucci from Martucci & Associates. To make matters worse, the firm's website looks completely unprofessional, as if it was created by a child.
It is important to note that this review is not intended to harm the reputation of the law office or the individual attorney. Instead, it is meant as a warning to others to thoroughly research their options and choose a legal representative who operates with honesty, competence, professionalism, and who accurately represents the facts in court.

It can be overwhelming trying to find a family law attorney, but from my first interactions with Kevin I knew that I had made the right decision. He is very responsive and easy to work with, yet firm with the other side and willing to do whatever it takes to get the best outcome for his clients. Mary Ann was recommended to me when I needed an attorney to address child custody issues. I could not have been more satisfied with this recommendation. Mary Ann listens. She is compassionate and caring, yet she is also honest. We have unfortunately had a variety of situations arise and while this has been a stressful, drawn out process, I feel that I have been extremely well represented. Mary Ann is able to take my feelings, frustrations and concerns and succinctly puts them into well written documents. In the end, I have what is most important to me, full custody of my son and I have her to thank for that. I would recommend her without hesitation. She is professional, organized and absolutely knows what she is doing.

I was referred to Mary Ann Noiroux by an acquaintance who was also an attorney, but didn't specialize in Family Law. Let me tell you that was the best referral that I've ever received! I was faced with a divorce involving two minor children after many years of marriage, and to further complicate my situation my now ex-wife is a powerful attorney herself. Outgunned and intimidated, I turned to Mary Ann for relief from a very painful situation. She literally saved my life! She immediately put an end to many unpleasant and harsh conditions, established a level playing ground, and never ceased being a zealous advocate of my rights as father of my children and as the weaker partner in the marriage. Have a discrimination lawsuit against our landlords. They reached out to Matt and he emailed us asking if we can come to some sort of settlement. We agreed, and he tried to sneak a bunch of crazy things that we didn't agree on into the contract, which we of course denied. He then threatened us by saying that if we don't revoke our 'bogus" complaint to the DFEH then they won't be "as nice as they have been". Now obviously he doesn't really know much about tenant/landlord law because that is considered retaliation. I know a lawyers job is to defend their client no matter what but threatening a family who complained to the appropriate authorities is in poor taste, regardless of your job

I met Natalie on the hallway of he courthouse at one of my lowest points. I had went from a six figure income, to nothing and my spouse of 15 years was trying to stick it to me. I came into contact with Nathalie through her involvement in Step Forward Foundation, a non-profit legal organization serving low income clients with Domestic Violence (DV) issues. In the 22 years that I lived with DV, and for the additional 3 years my husband continued to perpetrate DV against me after our separation, I searched high and low for an agency to help me but was unable, because the form of DV my husband perpetrated against me involved restraining me, shaking me, throwing things at me, threatening me, spitting on me, withholding assets from me, and other actions that didn't involve hitting or leaving physical marks on me that would warrant assistance from police and courts. Finally, I began secretly making videos of his attacks on me and took one of these videos to the Step Forward Foundation, where my appointment was referred to Nathalie. What a God-send that appointment was! Nathalie took my case right away. She not only represented me in the courts, but she provided the validation and support that I needed to begin to re-learn that what I was suffering really was DV, and unacceptable treatment of me - because after 25 years of calling the police and petitioning the courts and getting no assistance, I had come to believe that "maybe it was just me" or "maybe this is just normal." Nathalie's commitment to my case made me feel important again, and I began to grow stronger in my resolve to finally stand up to him. Nathalie won for me a 5 year DV Restraining Order that protects not only me, but also it protects my son until after his 18th birthday. The terms of the Restraining Order require my ex/his dad to go through significant counseling, drug screening and rehabilitation, etc., before he can resume visitation again, and it requires to visitation be supervised. This is an almost unheard of ruling, as most restraining orders are only granted for 1 year and do not prohibit the relationship between parent and child as was needed to also protect my son. After my DVRO was awarded, Nathalie continued on with me and took me as a client in her private practice to ensure that my divorce (pending in the court system and held up by the manipulation and delay tactics of my ex) would be finalized. Prior to Nathalie, no lawyers would take my divorce case. My gross income was too high to receive pro-bono services from non-profit agencies on matters besides the DVRO, but the marriage nor myself personally had any assets or savings to pay the lawyer's retainers and fees. Nathalie demonstrated commitment to ending DV for me once and for all when she reduced her retainer fee and wrote a fee agreement contract with me that allows me to pay her for her services at whatever (reasonable) monthly payments I can afford. Other lawyers refused to represent me unless I could pay $5,000 - $15,000 up front. Nathalie is allowing me to go into debt with her, which I am so grateful for that I feel like I will be indebted to her for the rest of my life - not in a monetary sense, but in the sense that without her help, I may very well have been stuck in my marriage forever, subject to abuse and torment. Nathalie bills reasonably, and doesn't penny-pick every millisecond you are on the phone with her like other lawyers do. She understands financial constraints of her clients and uses her time wisely to avoid over billing them. My case is scheduled for trail in 30 days, and I am so excited about the new life that lies ahead of me. There are some people in your life who serve such a meaningful purpose in transitioning you from one state of being to another. Nathalie is that for me. I will always hold regard for her in my heart and her success, well being, and blessing will for the rest of my life always be a part of my prayers. I ABSOLUTELY recommend her.

Shawn is so wonderful. Seriously, he is the most kind and gentle attorney I have ever known. I was scared going into my divorce. But mediating with my ex husband turned out to be the very best decision I could have made. Shawn was so patient with us. While I wasn't wild about everything in my agreement, we were able to settle and my ex and I are still friends. It so could have gone the other way! I was often frustrated with how long it took Jeanne to follow through on things during divorce process. Things she should have taken care of didn't get done. I relied on her to know, and make sure I knew, the things that needed to be done. Ultimately, she didn't follow through on a very important final detail. It resulted in costing me several thousands of dollars and months of time consuming/stressful phone calls and letters to unraveling the mess. when I contacted her for help, she was willing to talk with me, send me a copy of my settlement, and make a phone call; but anything more than that and she "would have to charge me for her time". Not exactly the way I would have handled it if I had made that mistake.

Mr. Velasquez took on my case when i didn't think an attorney in California would since I am in Ohio. I was however injured while on vacation in California. My entire ankle was broken in half due to a fall at an apartment complex. He took this case without hesitation knowing the rough road that lied ahead. He went above and beyond the call of duty by coming to Ohio since I was unable to travel. He brought a videographer into my home to show how difficult everyday tasks were for me to complete such as getting out of the chair, walking to the restroom, getting in and out of my bed and getting in and out of our vehicle. He had to spend a significant amount of time in my home to accomplish this as it takes me a great amount of time to perform these tasks and I had to take regular breaks . He was very patient throughout the entire process of the video taping. He was always in touch with me about the case and how it was going. He set up depositions for me and my family to be done here in Ohio with the defense attorney present. He made it easily accessible for us to do the depositions. He even encountered the problem of me not being able to get into the one building and got the deposition moved with ease so i could have access that i needed. During the depositions he made us very comfortable and took breaks as we needed due to the fact that this was a very traumatic experience for me and my family to have to relive. He is an excellent attorney and when he has a goal in mind he goes for it and fights with all he has. He had a goal for me and I am very pleased with the outcome of the case I couldn't have asked for a more capable or qualified attorney.

I hired John Velasquez as my lawyer for my paternity case. The case went to trial, and we won. Had I lost, I would have been spending little to no time with my daughter, and my relationship with her could have been forever jeopardized. Our case was difficult, unique, and complex, and John was prepared for anything and everything that was thrown at us. His demeanor in the court room as well as in person is respectful and confident, and what sets him apart from other lawyers I have known is that he genuinely enjoys what he does. Jorge did a great job at dealing with my ex and his lawyers in my divorce. He got my divorce settled and I was able to move forward. I have been working with Jorge Velasco and Daniel Paletz on a custody case for a few months now. Both Jorge and Daniel are really great lawyers. Jorge knows how to play the divorce game in a very intelligent way. Between the Jorge and Daniel they made the the giant firm my ex hired look bad. I highly recommend them if you're going through a divorce.. They're so knowledgable in family law they out smart even the largest firms. I highly recommend working with this firm!

I used James and his law firm on two separate occasions, a living trust which involved my mother and my divorce. Neither occasion was simple but James handled both with helpful insight and guided me to the correct answers through thoughtful questions. Not once did I feel he was just suggesting things to make the process move quicker or easier on his law firm to execute. Both times I left his office feeling as though things were handled fairly and correctly. Whatever legal issue I may have in the future, I will definitely consult with James first to see if his firm can take it on. I have a high degree of trust and faith in his competence to handle any legal issue after his work on my living trust and divorce.

It pains me, just a lil, to have to write this review in this manner but the truth sets you free. I sent Chapman and his partner Friedman or Stark an email verbalizing how I felt about things pertaining to our case. Chapman acknowledged my email. His partner didn’t pay it any attention. Thus is the reason for my public reviews. Better a review than a bar complaint? I contacted Chapman in 2018. He took our case, over 20 people in an apt building, on contingency. If he knew there wasn’t a case. He would not have taken it. Any who, the only issues I have with Chapman is he and his firm not including us on decisions I felt he was required to include us in. From day one, he seemed hospitable. But his staff and other partner(s) not so much. I didn’t understand how he seemed to be considerate but SOME of his staff and partner or partners weren’t. Their attitudes made me think that Chapman’ demeanor could have been forced of insincere. But, due to him being consistent in how he spoke to me and responded to my inquiries, that is the only reason I believed he was not like his staff and partner(s). Even though there were things I know Chapman could have done better in representing us. I still would recommend him and not his partners or partner. Chapman is more personable and easy to talk to. While his partner tried to intimidate me indirectly and threatened me when I brought pertinent concerns to their attention. He wasn’t even thankful that I chose to address them and not the court or the bar association. Which I had and have ever legal ground to do so. My advise to Chapman is to go solo. My advice might be the last one you get to ditch working with individuals who don’t represent your character. Or do they?

My family and I had been living in an apartment with unhealthy living conditions for several years when we began to consult multiple attorneys. Mr. Chapman visited our apartment and examined the premises personally. He was patient, knowledgeable, experienced, and took the time to answer all of our questions. Let me start off by saying I usually don’t go and Karen over issues like this BUT . Come on now I have a lemon law case with quill & arrow . We filed back in March of 2023 . I bought a pretty expensive car roughly over 100 k and as soon as I purchased it a month later it was giving me issues . Took it to the dealers ( multiple ) and they couldn’t fix it . I had video evidence and tons of paperwork showing the issues . Fast forward now going on 18 months with basically no update . If I don’t call I don’t receive any type of updates. And when I do call I get “ they are working hard on your case “ for last 6 months . It’s frustrating because I’m trying to get out of this car and purchase another one . Help

My experience in leaving a high conflict marriage (with a litigation attorney) has been nothing but frightening. Feeling confused, dismissed, deflated and defeated by a marriage I had put so much of my efforts and energy into left me lost and lacking any belief things could improve. Meeting Greg Silva was intimidating as I had lost faith and trust in attorneys after contacting many throughout the Bay Area - all dollar driven (watch out for those ads). Learning my rights which is never clear in our present society and putting faith into a stranger was my biggest growth and lesson thus far. David Falik is someone who can hold this with care, class and grace. The cost is high, however, their level of expertise and the safety I felt in my experience thus far has been priceless. I’m slowly getting my life back. Mr. Falik (and Silva & Associates) are ready to fight for your rights and if not well-verse in an area, they continue education to prepare. Mr. Falik has phenomenal listening skills and shocking expertise in handling high conflict personality types to an unbelievable degree. Mr Falik also is able to keep a wonderful sense of humor about unexpected obstacles, which has been imperative for me. Mr. Falik and his team are truly a light in such a dark place. He can put your words into an eloquent beautifully written respectable request (particularly when we cannot).
