My husband admitted to threatening to kill me in front our mediator at Next Phase Legal, the mediator quit a month later. I asked for the documents showing that my husband admitted this and I was told by the owner via email to file a restraining order if I feel threatened and refused to give me the documents. Added after owner commented: The comments written by the owner in response are not accurate and I can post photos of emails and our correspondence so you can make an informed decision to choose or not to choose this mediation firm.

Although no one wants to go thru a divorce, Stephen at NextPhase made the process seamless. He walked us thru the process and over the course of several meetings we discussed and came to an agreement on topics such as custody, child support, selling or keeping marital assets, life insurance, 401k, etc. I would recommend NextPhase for mediation.

I have worked with next phase legal to help me with my child custody case. Stephen and his paralegal Karen have been such big help in helping me with my case. I have worked with a lawyer in the past and she had told me that with my situation with getting full custody that she wouldn’t be able to help me. Stephen has helped me in so many ways and was very knowledgeable with ever question that I had asked. I had worked through the portal app that they have used and have received all my paperwork and documents. Attorney Clement is a most excellent attorney in every aspect. He was there as agreed early in the morning in court driving a good distance. He had all the case & evidence well presented to the court already in such an outstanding amazing way that when it was the moment to present myself before the Judge I literally didn't even have a chance to say my name or good morning Your Honor because as I was ready to say my first word the Judge was already saying that the charges against me were dismissed and I was told to leave immediately I was free to go ! Thank God for Attorney Clement who in my book is the Best of The Best for it is hard to imagine how can a Defense Attorney do better than that ?

Would absolutely not recommend. My attorney was completely unprepared for a hearing, did not follow through with things (including not serving the divorce paperwork to ex-spouse for more than 3 weeks), would not return phone calls or email, and incorrectly billed me. Much of the information he gave me also turned out to be untrue and not current legal practice. I'm not entirely sure why this office keeps hounding me for a review, so I am posting my honest opinion so they will stop emailing me.

If you’re reading this review, you and I probably had quite a bit in common at one point in life. If this is true, hopefully my testimony can help you with your decision making process.
When I first made my decision to cut ties with my wife I met with a few different lawyers before making my final decision to go with Mansur Law. The confidence that they displayed in their ability to protect my assets and I made choosing them to represent me a no brainer. Sure enough they delivered 10 fold. Being Active Duty military, the dichotomy of my situation went from complicated to a living nightmare, fast. My spouse attempted to go after my career by means of slander and false allegations. Karla was there with me every step of the way and ensured that my career was protected along with my assets. Her emotional investment in my particular situation during some of worst days was the affirmation that I needed to know that I made the best decision when choosing someone to represent me. In the end, I was more than satisfied with the outcome and I was even more grateful for everything Karla and her team did for me. A special thanks to Meghan and Joleen for all their work for me as well. If you’re on fence about choosing a lawyer just ask yourself would you bring a knife to a gun fight? Attorney Karla Mansur was my divorce layer. I recommend her especially if your divorce case requires limited assistance. She provides flexible service that fits your special needs, she is honest and charges fairly, and is understanding and considerate.
Before I hired her, my husband and I already reached terms on separation agreement. Since I was overseas then and would not be able to return for the divorce, I needed a lawyer who could convert our draft agreement to a legal document, and present it to the court on my behalf. When I had an interview with her on the phone, Karla happily agreed to take my case, at a cost much lower than those for cases needing a lawyer’s intervention to reach agreement. I was also impressed by her honesty. When I asked whether she would charge extra if I paid my legal fees with credit card, she said charging extra amount is illegal. And she promised to get my divorce certificate from the court for me when she visited the court after the divorce was over, and mail it to my address abroad. Before Karla, one of the lawyers I interviewed claimed to have been a divorce lawyer for 19 years and go to the court all the time. She told me that she only accepts personal checks for payments, and if I paid with credit card, she would need to charge an extra percentage. She also said that she had to make special trips to and from the court to pick up my divorce certificate, which would be charged at more than $300 an hour (maybe $400 or $450, I do not remember the exact amount). Wait a second, did not you just say you go to the court all the time? Can’t you just pick it up when you are at the court on behalf of other clients? I did not dare to hire this lawyer because she would have all kinds of reasons to pile up the bill.
Since my husband and I agreed to execute the agreement terms before submitting documents to the court, I expected my divorce to end about three months after hiring Karla. However, my husband lied endlessly and created all kinds of hassles during the process, which entailed more than 5 months’ unnecessary delays. Karla had been very patient and understanding along the way. I felt that she was behind me all the time, and her support and considerateness made the frustrating and lengthy process a little more tolerable.
I also want to thank Joleen, the paralegal, for her conscientious work. She kept a record of all the documents related to my case, scanned and emailed electronic copies to me before mailing them to me, in case anything got lost during international shipments.

Stig helped me mediate a difficult divorce. I should say "helped us", since he showed complete impartiality, and only had the goal of an equitable settlement in mind. During the process, he frequently stated that we would know we were successful if neither of us walked away completely happy, and also that, despite feeling discouraged, everything really was going to be alright. I can say in hindsight that I was not completely happy with the result, and I'm guessing neither was my ex-wife (...thus proving his point that the settlement was equitable), but also that, a year and a half later, everything really is alright. I want to thank Stig greatly for getting us both through this difficult time, and I would heartily recommend him to anyone else requiring a truly professional mediator with a very big heart.

I highly recommend using Stig as a divorce mediator. If you have to get a divorce, a mediated divorce is much better than a court judged divorce - a trial divorce could easily cost another $30,000 and more in court/lawyer/testimony fees for each party.
I was in a very difficult and dragged on, over two years, divorce tangle. My Ex-husband abandoned his family. He simply took off one day without any discussions about the 28 year marriage. I was in shock while he hired a lawyer and tried to scam me to the terms he offered.
He missed many pre-trial hearings while his second lawyer trash talked, provoked, and prevented the formation of a out-of-trial divorce agreement. It was not until when my ex-husband has almost used up his $30,000 pre-paid lawyer fee, he was willing to try mediation.
Stig knew divorce laws very well, both my ex-husband and I trusted his assessments and judgments. He tried to be fair to both parties, and worked very professionally, diligently, and swiftly in creating and modifying the mediation documents. We had so many last minute disagreements, phone calls and emails, but Stig was willing to stay and work with us to iron out the differences. He treasured and highlighted any positive interactions we gave to each other during our mediation sessions. We finally came to a divorce agreement half an hour before our final pre-trial court time, after the three of us have finished a two-hour conference call while I was at the court house.
Now my divorce was final and I have been trying to recover. I really felt it was much less stressful and much economic to me to have a mediated divorce. This was like having a controlled landing, mediated divorce, over a crash landing, court judged divorce. I considered myself lucky to have a mediated divorce.
Do yourself a favor, appoint Stig to mediate for you. Stig moves "mountains" in divorce cases!

Vicki Shemin and Jonathan Fields represented me for a simple divorce. It was a short-term marriage with no children. No discovery was done and we only appeared in Court twice, once for a motion hearing and again to present a full settlement agreement. The emergency motion was filed by my ex-husband and only necessary due to Attorney Shemim’s advice for me to change the locks to our former marital home. This was an action I wouldn’t have taken otherwise, ultimately escalated the amount of animosity in the case and the judge disapprovingly viewed as a form of self-help.
Somehow this all amounted to attorney’s fees exceeding $82,000, the last $19,000 or so I am being repeatedly hounded for while several requests to discuss my billing continue to be ignored. Their paralegal has an hourly rate comparable to what many firms charge for a mid-level associate, and over billed for simple administrative tasks (i.e. two hours to divide the numbers on my biweekly paycheck in half). This was not a high-net worth case, there were no unusual or extraordinary issues to be dealt with, and the total amount billed for a matter that was resolved in less than a year actually exceeded the amount I received as a settlement. I would have ended up in a better position financially if I didn’t have counsel at all. I ended up negotiating the final terms of the settlement directly with my ex anyway.
Perhaps this firm is great for those who are extremely wealthy where the total amount of legal fees is of no concern, but for anyone like myself, making a living as an RN, expect to pay top-notch prices while consistently being treated as a low-priority client. There are certainly better options out there.

He's a good looking black man, who dresses nice and can hold a conversation well. He was 30 minutes late to our call. Secretary told me that I would be meeting him in his office in Springfield, but found out that was a phone call later on. How does he have offices in ATL and Springfield. Don't every state have different set of laws and qualifications or something. Should have sensed something fishy, but was so out of it because of my recent employment situation that I was ready to give money to the first person that could help. The $195 is nonrefundable, and his suggestion was that I made good money and to basically move on. Spent the whole 30 minutes reciting the documents and powerpoint that I spent days on putting together. Get a free evaluation and google eeoc.

Attorney Greenberg was everything I could of asked for and more in my Workers Compensation case. He always kept me informed of things pertaining to the case. He makes himself readily available to you night or day 7 days a week, therefore if you had a question or something came up he was there to assist you. He took the time to explain everything to me, He kept me informed throughout this 2 year process in order to receive what I was entitled to. Was given an appointment was told 8 to 8000 to 10,000 to retain this lawyer when I hadn’t even had a consult first I wanted to know if I should be retaining a lawyer I wanted to ask the question and they want eight to $10,000 to retain this lawyer it’s bogus they said they would call they never called the lady I spoke to on the phone was so rude Very rude. I can’t even believe she does customer service that’s OK that’s not the problem. The problem is I don’t think Lawyer even knows what’s happening on the phone when his secretary speaks where they’re coming from but I don’t get how they handled that I waited two days to hear from this lawyer and then that’s what I got , I’ll give you two stars that

Representing myself against Jason, I’m appalled and shocked how simple procedural tasks (like ensuring opposing counsel has memorandum 3 days before trial) are not completed on time.
He took over for another attorney… but they missed a perjury hearing with the magistrate
And then he said, paraphrasing of course “Lawyers aren’t under oath so we can’t be committed of perjury”
Your client wasn’t given the statement so nobody can be charged here…
So you’re saying it’s ok to lie in court? As there are no ramifications- what about the board of ethics?
No attempt to settle - he’s like most attorneys -> a GLORIFIED SALESMAN that needs to know the law but only job is to take as much money from his clients rather than advise them to settle

We had worked with another attorney for earlier stages of the process and we were not confident about how to approach the path forward… and then we hired Nicole Levy. Nicole immediately put us at ease. She was knowledgeable about the entire legal process and guided us forward all while taking our ideas into account, moving us in a direction that we were all comfortable and confident with.
