Mr. Osborn was assigned by the Federal District Court in the Western District of North Carolina to represent me in a thorny case I was involved in under the Court’s pro se settlement program, which was instituted to mediate and settle cases like mine before they go through a full-blown court proceedings. I was very pleased with the program and comforted by the mettle of a sound lawyer and avid negotiator in my corner. I developed a strong sense of trust with Mr. Osborn after our initial phone conversation and a couple of follow up meetings. I was impressed by two things: 1. I worked with Doug Meis on a personal injury case stemming from a car accident with an underinsured motorist. He was fantastic. He explained everything to me, provided me with possible scenarios, and guided me through some very complicated information. He got me a great settlement, when I originally thought I was going to have to pay even though I wasn't at fault. He is everything you want your attorney to be. Kind and patient and knowledgeable for the client, and tenacious and persistent with the insurance companies. I would highly recommend him to anyone needing an attorney for personal injury. He also does workman's comp claims.

Nicole is a compassionate, kind, smart person who (almost literally) held my hand through my divorce. I didn't want to get divorced, but once that was decided, I knew I wanted it to be done with kindness, empathy, and without trying to best anyone. My former spouse and I were able to navigate the divorce process easily with help from Nicole. I have sent at least 6 friends to her and they were all pleased as well. In a world where there's this idea of family lawyers being sharks, Nicole is a breath of fresh air. She helps you through a sad, necessary time without making me feel exploited or like I was making things worse for my children and ex-spouse. I cannot say enough good things about her practice.

We interviewed Sharlene to help us update or trust and will documents. She immediately realized that an entire revamp of the documents was required to incorporate some of the new changes and updates in the NC laws. She worked with us in person in Raleigh and through email exchanges to finalize all the required documents. When it came time to put the proper paperwork in place, we met again in person. Sharlene took time to answer all questions, was available by phone, email, or in person any time. She also gave us options on what to do going forward, offering her services, or guiding us how to complete the process. I would highly recommend Sharlene for anyone who is nervous about the estate planning process. She made the entire process comfortable and thorough.

The idea seemed wonderful—when a couple decided that their marriage should be dissolved, all parties would work together to achieve a non-adversarial, respectful, peaceful resolution at reasonable cost.
I was referred to the law office of Sheryl T. Friedrichs by family financial advisors for just such an experience. My spouse’s attorney, however, while wanting to stay out of court, was not familiar with the concept of Collaborative Divorce and not interested in undertaking a face-to-face interactive process.
Thus began a hybrid version of separation and property settlement negotiation. From my client viewpoint, trust by the other side was the primary issue. What were my personal motives? How much did I care about the opposite party’s outcome? Where were the resources each would need to continue a safe and comfortable single life?
It made sense that traditional legal representation would take a cautious approach. Extended time and patient, conscientious effort would be necessary to remove obstacles and reach agreements. Sheryl’s collaborative mindset, though not always reciprocated, made all the difference. As the process continued, progress accelerated and confidence was built.
In the end, a document was crafted and accepted by both parties which would make the actual divorce a formality. Working with Sheryl Friedrichs was collaborative in the best sense—people working together in good faith to a mutually beneficial finish.

If you ever find yourself in need of a knowledgeable, trusted divorce attorney who takes the utmost care for your interests, I would highly recommend contacting Ms. Sheryl Friedrichs. I acquired her services to help me navigate the minefield of an unwanted divorce. She was compassionate, well-qualified, and most helpful in walking me through the process, providing adequate time for reflection so that I could make sound decisions that were in my best interests. In handling my case (mind you I live out of state), there was a night and day difference in the handling of the proceedings from that of the opposing attorney. This restored my faith that divorce lawyers are not all cut from the same cloth. Ms. Friedrichs did not miss a beat. She was always organized, prompt and courteous. Absolute Scam and Unprofessional Behavior
Jeremy,
I hired you to help with a bogus speeding ticket, where I have clear dash cam footage showing my speed, location, and the officer’s actions before and after the stop. The officer claimed I was going 80 in a 45, wrote the wrong location of the stop, and the speed limit on that road was actually 55. My speedometer was at 61, clearly shown on the dash cam. Yet, you had the nerve to tell me you could “maybe” reduce the ticket to a 14-over, despite knowing the entire ticket was a joke.
After this ridiculous introduction, I called the very next day—over a month before the court date—and requested a refund. Your desk lady assured me I’d get a full refund. But today, I get a call telling me the case was continued (even though I fired you), and now you’re only offering half of my payment back because you “spent 20 minutes” on my case? That’s a load of crap.
Then, to top it off you have the audacity to threaten me with legal action if I dispute this scam through my bank. You’re not even competent enough to handle a simple case like this and now you’re acting like a crook. I honestly feel bad for your firm that you’re so desperate for this money, but I’ll be sure to keep on sharing my experience the community.
Keep the half—you clearly need it more than I do.

As lawyers go, Alan Schneider is a ROCK STAR! He helped me with a legal matter that I will forever be grateful. For many years, he took my calls and read my emails yet never charged me.
I've known quite a few lawyers and Alan stands above them all. He should be in a lawyer's Hall of Fame. Warm, friendly and smart as a whip are just a few adjectives I'd use to describe him. I would give Brad Jones zero stars if I could. He did nothing for my son after we paid him over $3,000 for a child custody case. He did not fight for my son, his client, and basically told him that he was not going to win. If you are a man going through a custody dispute and you want to see your children, please do not hire this guy. We are devastated about the outcome and I don’t want anyone else to have to experience what we have experienced.

I had been working through a divorce, thinking that we would not need a lawyer as we were attempting to split as amicable as a couple could in this day. Unfortunately, I think the court system frowns on Pro Se divorces and we found ourselves seeking an attorney to assist us through the nuances and legal-speak. Brad helped us migrate towards a clear path, cleared the way through some of the hurdles I had inadvertently constructed and actually shaved some of our final costs down from some of the leg-work I was able to successfully navigate. We found ourselves in need of an attorney out of state on very short notice. Thankfully, Brad worked us in. I hired Mr. Allen in 2019 while I was going through a separation with my ex-wife that ended in divorce. This was a very stressful, unpleasant and overwhelming time of my life. My ex-wife was making false accusations and asking for everything I had to my name - I needed help quickly. Mr. Allen explained everything to me...his strategy, how the law works, what to expect, best outcome, worst outcome - he was always pretty quick to respond to my calls, texts, emails, etc. I was extremely pleased with the outcome as we settled in mediation and the settlement was one that I thought was fair and that I was happy with. If it were not for Mr. Allen's zealous representation I fear I would have been clobbered and taken for everything I had. I absolutely recommend Mr. Allen for any type of family law case.

I hired Scott, when I was going through divorce child custody, and a lot of false claims were filed against me. I interviewed several lawyers and hired Scott, as I felt comfortable with him. He listened to me patiently and went through the court documents. I asked him to explain the process and he did explained what I should expect next. His paralegal James is certified paralegal and is superb in what he does. James helped me with the initial documents and the process.
Scott has a great document management system. Whatever documents I gave him till now, he never lost those and had those when we needed them. Scott asked me whether I want to settle or go to court. I wanted to go to court and he went with it. During the initial hearing and all the subsequent hearings he fought for my rights and presented my case diligently and proved the claims by the other party to be false. Most of the lawyers, will tell you settle as it saves them and the court time, but it might not be always in your best interest. Scott is not those lawyers, he really cares about his clients and is not afraid to litigate or fight for his client’s right in the court.
My case went through the approximately 15 months with different hearings etc. All these times, Scott has treated me with respect and did his best for my case. Divorce and custody cases are hard, as these drain you emotionally and financially. A lot of lawyers will try to linger your case or will try to charge you excessive amount of fees. Scott never tried to linger my case or charge me inappropriately.
The most important thing is, most lawyers will be nice when they have to take your case, but when the going gets tough and difficult in the divorce case or custody case; they would ask you to look for another lawyer or will ask to be excused from your case. Scott is not such lawyer; he is there for you from the beginning till the end. He is well reputed and well respected among his peers and in the community. He’s been practicing family law for over 20 years. Throughout my case, I had peace of mind that I have best lawyer looking out for my case and who is not afraid to go extra mile for my case.
Scott never promised me the moon or the stars; he always said he will do his best as the case outcome can’t be guaranteed. He did his best. In all hearing, he gave me more than ample time for the trial preparation. He always answered my emails promptly, despite his busy schedule. One time, I had to visit my child out of state and I had driven 7 hours one way and the other parent won’t let me see my child. I immediately contacted Scott and he immediately contacted the lawyer of my ex and that allowed me to see my child the next day. It was a weekend; most lawyers won’t respond to you even if it’s emergency situation on a weekend. That single action by Scott, earned a lot of my respect and regard for him.
