We are Extremely satisfied with the service we received from Nick. He was honest, and efficient he spent quite a lot of time doing research in the writing of this a letter for my landlord along with contacting the landlord by phone, like a mediator between us . which turned out very well; we got to extend out the date of termination of tenancy , a whole month, just by notifying our landlord of our rights as tenants. I would recommend Nick to anyone who wants an honest, dedicated, persistent and very detailed oriented Lawyer!
I will defiantly call him again, if I need a lawyer again!

I called Nick on a weekday evening to inquire about the best way for my dad to get a power of attorney in order. Since my dad is on the lower end of the economic scale, Nick said he would be very flexible with the fee. During our whole conversation, he emphasized that he wanted to be sure my dad was taken care of and that he didn't want this process to be an added burden to the stresses of having a sick parent.
The following day, I learned that Nick had gone the extra mile and found a free reliable online source for power of attorney documents that could be notarized. He took the time to review the paperwork, and sent it to me with detailed explanation on terms and how it all works.
I am so grateful for his help, and when my husband and I are ready to have our legal affairs handled we will definitely be working with Nick. He is awesome!

I have used David K Hiscock's services several times over the past two decades. He has done wills for my wife and myself, for my mother and for friends. He represented my wife in a minor injury case about twenty years ago, and he helped me through the probate process when my mother passed away. Mr. Hobson handled my divorce. A divorce that should have been simple turned into "the divorce from hell" because my spouse became vindictive and filed new motions, many of them frivolous, at least once a week. Mr. Hobson kept me well informed and helped me to understand each motion, and the options available. When I was frustrated or upset over developments in the case, he was able to put things in perspective for me. He fought hard for me, and after a long 9 month struggle, the divorce ended with a settlement that I believe was fair to both sides.

I knew from my very first conversation, a five minute phone call, that Janet Smith had the answer to a grueling seven month battle to get coverage through my mother’s long term care insurance. Within that five minutes she gave me a list of practical steps to take. The advice was golden and it was free.
Prior to discovering Janet I had several brief conversations with three other attorney’s. Each was difficult to reach and none seemed to really listen to my problem or the solutions that had already failed. Janet listened and responded with advice that rang true for our situation within the first five minutes.
After I followed up on her advice, we formally met and planned the strategy. When her first letter (containing case study research) to the company did not generate the results we wanted, she persisted with several others, ultimately securing all of our demands.
I have never before hired an attorney. I felt intimated. The three gentlemen I previously contacted for advice reinforced my intimidation. Working with Janet felt like working with a trusted friend. I know I can turn to her if there are any other issues with this policy.

Maria was the first lawyer I spoke with when the work started on my divorce. I knew the moment I met her that I had walked in the right office. In what was a very difficult situation for me, she treated me with genuine respect and concern. And on top of all that, she was also great counsel, always timely, always knowledgable, and always ethical. And that was in the face of opposition that did not necessarily reflect those same characteristics. I'm quite thankful that I chose her office to walk into.

I had a difficult case with DOL that they were aggressively pursuing. I asked around and read reviews planning to meet with a few attorneys before making a decision. Everyone I spoke with about this told me that Doug Tingvall was simply the best in this field. In the first 5 minutes meeting with him it was easy to see why. I can’t think of any professional that knows every single detail of their job as well as Doug does. He aggressively defended my case and always seemed to be 2 steps ahead of everyone else. Zero stars. I don't know what makes him decide to do his job with clients but he definitely didn't do it with my wife and I. He emailed saying he failed at representing us after doing nothing but taking my money, Waist of 3000$. In 2019 I had a very tough immigration case and I hired another law firm and it didn’t go well, I spend more than 3k and finally my case got denied due to the lawyer’s irresponsible action. A few months later a friends of mine suggested to contact Amsale’s law firm. She was very kind, positive , thoughtful and a good listener. She listened the entire issue with the previous law firm, and what surprised me was her focus to resolve the problem instead of nailing down.
After a brief discussion and consultation, I hired her to represent me the same case which I got denied previously.
It took her shorter time comparing with the previous lawyer and successfully won my case. Not only that, through the entire process of my case with Amsale I was getting an update based on the information timeframe of each steps from immigration office.

I originally hired Sean because a plumbing company had caused structural damages to floor joists during a renovation and they would not accept responsibility. What happened instead was Sean transferred me to Joe and the lawsuit lasted 2 1/2 years. We ended up going to arbitration and I won all damages but zero lawyers fees.
Incredibly frustrating experience.
I wouldn’t hire nor recommend them.
I regret hiring Sean and Joe.

I worked with Will Reingold, Jr for my divorce, who was recommended to me by a friend. He was friendly and knowledgeable for a process that is painful for most. The guy always works and never seems to miss a beat. He is always on top of it and prioritizes to get things done/executed like you're his only client. He made efforts to resolve more complicated challenges like parental rights of embryos even though it's not his wheelhouse.

October 2024 - I was fortunate enough to be referred to Julie by another attorney a year ago. She was the 3rd attorney I had met with and she was able to see me on very short notice within 48 hours. Immediately, she put me at ease. After our initial visit, I already felt a huge weight had lifted. I was very glad that I had not already retained an attorney at that point. Right away, I felt Julie was "the right one". She was sincere, compassionate, caring, and I could tell she was smart. She immediately took control and told me what I needed to do in order to assist with the case. I hired her right then and left the meeting feeling as if I was in capable hands - and rightly so. I’m a criminal defense lawyer with 45 years of experience, so when it came to my own difficult, complicated divorce, I knew I needed the best lawyer possible. My first lawyer was, at best, mediocre. Then, during a court zoom hearing a couple of months into my divorce, I watched and listened to Cynthia First representing another petitioner. I consulted with Roy when my marriage had become significantly strained, in order to explore various "what if" scenarios. Roy was very knowledgeable RE: divorce law, with a focus on collaborative divorce. He understood that I loved my wife and kids very much and respected that I still hoped at that point to save my marriage. He was supportive of me efforts early in the process, to reconcile with my wife as we attended couples counseling, trying to work through our marital issues. My spouse eventually discontinued counseling. My case eventually became high conflict and contentious, with my spouse unfortunately refusing a collaborative pathway, so I am not able to comment on Roy's handling of the collaborative process. Nonetheless, in the scope of our work together, Roy was extremely professional. He always promptly answered my questions and empathetically addressed my fears. He respected where I was at mentally/emotionally in the process and I never felt like he was out to make busy work, just to increase revenues. When he recognized that a collaborative divorce process was not in the cards, he quickly arranged a seamless transition with a capable colleague who could do mediation and/or litigation. I highly recommend him especially for cases with couples that can maintain at least a modicum of rationality, civility and are able to focus on the long-term wellbeing of family members through the divorce process.

I was referred to Roy's office through my employer's employee assistance program when I requested help with my failing marriage.
I really appreciated that Roy had made his practice part of this program. I think it really demonstrates his objective of helping couples work through the divorce process in a collaborative way. Such a better approach for all involved, especially the kids, than some of the other attorneys I consulted with before hiring Roy.

My highly contested divorce/ Parenting Plan proceedings started in September 2020.
I quickly obtained representation from an attorney in the Everett area. By November I had a bill stating I had used up my retainer and I owed more. I felt extremely financially taken advantage of. He was almost impossible to contact and didn’t seem to care about my situation. Court hearings were looming in the future but I couldn’t keep my current attorney nor did I want to.
I represented myself for almost two months while I
searched for an attorney to represent me again. I was doubtful that there was such a thing as an honest attorney.
But then there was Selby Lighthill.
Mr Lighthill began representing me in January of 2021.
He was honest from the very beginning. He was able to relate to divorce due to his own personal experience. Though he had practiced Law for many years in California, Family Law was a rather new animal and he was honest about that.

Kathleen Royer mediated between my co parent and I. She is a nice lady whom obviously has a lot of experience in the legal system. She understood the legal system well and could it explain it well.
However, she did very little "mediating" of core issues that stood between us. It seemed like she was more of just a 3rd party messenger between our two rooms. I got the feeling that her goal wasn't true mediation, but just to get us two to an acceptable level in the eyes of the law, by having us agree on typical and standard arrangements.
She asked me to pick my battles, but would not acknowledge that the other party was not playing nice.
By legal definition, she did her job. But I wouldn't expect her to sooth or heal any wounds that exist between parties.

Attorneys did not even ask about his will as my brother had it done to add myself as his beneficiary of any of his payouts from his benefits from his laborers union. Now have to go through another attorney to file for what should have been done through them . My brother passed away on the 21st of June, and recieved a letter to our mother, saying he was no longer representing him. Pretty cold, now I see he was just making a living off of my brother's disability for years. Now he just made it cut n dry he was done. What a racket. Lori Calvert
