In April of 2014, my wife and daughter were involved in a serious car collision. We hired Jay Nohr to handle our case. There were several insurance companies involved so it ended up taking a little over four years to settle. Jay guided us through this long process, never giving up and was so prepared for our trial that the other insurance company settled the night before our trial was to begin. He had witnesses lined up, doctors ready to testify, big charts and photos blown up on poster boards. We were ready and the other side knew he was prepared. Over the years he kept us well informed, was very realistic with our case and is a very honorable man. He is not your typical lawyer, very caring and a wonderful family man. We were very pleased with him and the settlement he was able to get for us. Thanks Jay for taking such good care of us.

In June of 2017 my husband and I found ourselves engulfed in our worst nightmare. My 6 month old son had been throwing up for a week and after 4 ER visits it was determined that he had a subdural hematoma…AKA bleeding in the brain. With this diagnosis we were scared, worried, confused – we wanted to know how, why, what do we do??? And that is how our own personal hell began – with this diagnosis we were also being accused of harming our sweet boy and he was ripped from our arms. As a mother I felt like my heart had been ripped from my chest. I couldn’t understand why this was happening. The only information I had to go on is what the doctors filled my head with – these types of injuries only happen from abuse and that my son was lucky to be alive. I was in shock and absolutely devastated. With this knowledge I knew that they would never release him to go home from the hospital with us. In a panic I called our families and my father-in-law immediately sprang into action – and for that I am forever grateful – his quick action and with a little help from Google we found Jay.
From our very first meeting with Jay I felt some relief. He explained what we were up against, what we could expect to happen – and most importantly that these types of cases happen all too often – and that despite what these doctors had led me to believe, there is in fact many different causes for my son’s diagnosis. I won’t bore you with all the gritty medical details, but finding Jay, who was extremely knowledgeable about these types of issues, was what saved our family. Throughout the 4 months that we endured this hell every step Jay took was exactly the right one. I trusted him 100% to do everything in his power to get our baby back home to us….and he did. I hate to imagine what could’ve happened to us if we had hired anyone other than Jay. He was extremely educated and informed on everything surrounding our case. He was also patient with me (a distraught mom) – which couldn’t have been an easy task. I know he must’ve been very busy – but he always made time for me and made me feel like our case was his top priority. He was everything we could’ve hoped to find in an attorney – plus more. I wish that I could give him 100 stars - a five star rating just doesn’t do him justice.

We used Curtis for a Chapter 7 bankruptcy. From the minute I called with questions, he took his time explaining our options over the phone without even coming in. He spent at least 45 minutes on the phone with me with no charge and then met with my husband and me for a good hour in the office with no charge. So the 1 hour FREE consultation definitely holds true. It's an embarrassing situation to be in to admit that you’re in such a financial hardship that you can't pay your bills and stay afloat with the everyday expenses. He never once made us feel bad or ashamed or looked down upon. He said his job was to help us and our family get relief from this tremendous burden and that he did. His wife Ashley is the administrator and was always helpful, friendly and courteous. In the midst of our bankruptcy we were still struggling to get back on top of things and were all of the sudden looking at foreclosure because we had become officially 2 months behind on our mortgage. They responded to the situation immediately with concern, caring and assurance that they would do everything they could to help us keep our house. Never once did they say "well you'll have to come with X amount of money before we'll even consider this". And in the end we did keep our house! From the beginning they always made us feel that they were truly there to help us and the money was not of concern. Of course they expect to be paid for their services as anyone else but I have spoken to many attorneys before speaking with them and the first thing out of their mouth was how much we would need to come up with for them to handle our case. Obviously if you're in a position of having to file bankruptcy you don't have hundreds, much less thousands of dollars just laying around! I can't say enough about how grateful we are for their help and even after it was all over they said to call them if we ever need them in the future. You won't find anyone better!

I meet Mrs Austin through the legal assistance program, and at first I thought she was just another court appointed attorney. You know the ones where they are assigned too many cases and because your not able to afford their services they give you subpar results. Not in this case, Mrs Austin treated me with respect and understood that everyone that finds them self in a criminal situation is not a criminal. So she actually looked into my case and found out the truth and then assisted me in any and every way possible. Casey Stevens was my personal injury attorney for a fatal car accident that my 12 year old and I were involved in. It was a devastating experience and my son and I both sustained serious injuries. I was referred to Mr. Stevens by a respected attorney in Atlanta whose advice I trusted. I was not familiar with the litigation process whatsoever and was unnerved by the entire ordeal.
Mr. Stevens immediately put me at ease. He listened patiently as I explained what transpired during the accident and went over all of my options. Our son had an accident after his first week of driving on his own. The person he pulled out in front of was injured and both vehicles were damaged beyond repair. We were suddenly served legal documents and were being sued. Mr. Scott was the attorney for our insurance company. Just over 2 years ago I contacted Danny about representing my 15 year old son in Superior Court for 3 felony counts (aggravated child molestation, aggravated sodemy, and child molestation of his younger sister). You cannot imagine the pain and confusion our family was suffering at the time. We did not know where to turn or what to do next. Danny’s advice in the initial free consultation was sound, experienced, and straight to the point. His fee was more than what we had, but we worked hard to come up with the money because we knew he was who we wanted to represent our son. After we retained his services he introduced us to Melissa. Melissa was sympathetic to our situation and was clearly as well experienced as Danny was. Together, her and Danny developed a clear strategy that we should follow and consulted us on what we should do step by step. The knowledge those two attorneys exhibited to us as a team assured us consistently time and time again that we had made the right choice by hiring them. They worked tirelessly to get the case transferred back to juvenile court and stuck with us throughout the entire process keeping us well informed, answering all of our questions, and even once contacting me from home while caring for her sick child to answer some unimportant questions pertaining to the status of my son’s case (which took 2 years to get resolved). All the work they did for us was a flat charge and never once did they ever ask for another penny. Mia Frieder
Mia worked on a car accident case for me from 2014 to 2017. I had numerous treatments and in the end had to have major back surgery. The insurance Company never made me any offer of settlement. Mia was able to obtain settlements from three different insurance Company.
I can cannot say enough about Mia. You could not ask for more in an Attorney. Mia is a caring person and puts the client first. She takes time to understand her client’s needs and works one on one through out the process. She keeps you up to date on your case at all times. You are never left in the dark as to the status of your case. From day one she was like a very close caring friend and remained that way over the (3) three years she worked with me.
Her Husband Ron Hilley also was very caring and sportive through out the process.
I would be remiss If I did not mention Mia’s office support. They were excellent through out the process as well especially Vanessa and Brian. You could not ask for more support and understanding in trying times.

The insurance company for that driver was a bottom of the barrel outfit that didn't even want to accept fault even though the police report said it was her fault and a completely independent witness said it was her fault. We were referred to Jonathan and when he met with us initially he told us that the claim should be resolved pretty swiftly, but warned us that the insurance on the other side was substandard and that waters could get choppy.
That insurance company tried to low ball us from the beginning, but Jonathan made them pay for it in the end. I was hit by a young driver that failed to yield making a left turn. Liability was clear from the start. The policeman wrote her a ticket, an independent witness called the cops and spoke to the officer at the scene, and they totaled out my baby (favorite car) right away. But when it came time to take responsibility and to pay for my medical bills, they offered far less than the total bills, from the ER trip.
That's when I called Jonathan. He met with me and laid out a strategy to fight for me so I got what I deserved Well, that insurance company went from bad to worse. So Jonathan sued. We went through the litigation process, depositions, and all of the discovery process. After the case was put on a trial calendar and ordered to mediation, we walked in with a $ 0 offer. That's right, the insurance company pulled the little they offered me shortly after the wreck. But Jonathan was just getting to work.
Jonathan fought for me, worked the mediator, and insurance defense attorneys to the point of no return. He explained to them how they faced serious bad faith if they did not offer me the policy limits for the claim. By the end of the mediation, I had received an offer for the full policy limits of $ 25,000. A few weeks later, I go an offer for the full policy limits of my underinsured coverage, $ 30,000 more. He went from $ 0 to the maximum coverage, the hard way. The long way, and the right way.
I wouldn't have gotten anything close to that amount without Jonathan's help, his knowledge, and his willingness to fight for my justice. I never wanted a handout, but I didn't want to be shorted.
