Having had an injury at work and being told by a judge that I needed a lawyer as the Worker’s Compensation Board doesn’t care about me. I searched for a lawyer. Many lawyers told me they would take my case, when I stopped working. I have a family to support. My life changed that day. On four different occasions maintenance was verbally informed that the floor was not safe. It was corrected approximately 10 minutes after I rolled my ankle herniating a disc in my low back, rolling my knee and ankle laterally. A family member had used Scott Frendel and told me he was great and I should call him. Scott has been working with me since 2014 on this Workman’s Compensation Case. When other lawyers wouldn’t take my case he did, he is that good.
Scott was able to help by giving me great advice and guidance. He and his team Daniella Pascaru, Sara and Wanda where patient and guided me through the process to help me win my case. They answered all my questions. Trusting them and following their directives definitely helped us to win this

I am a big proponent of social media and word-of-mouth recommendations and after repeatedly hearing Irine's name, I knew I had to contact her. Irine is a subject-matter expert on all real estate issues, and beyond. I had very difficult and atypical documents to review and Irine spearheaded this process by thoroughly educating me and making the necessary corrections that were in my favor. They didn’t represent me, so this review isn’t about their representation, but I would suggest that they discontinue advertising that they practice law in areas that they do not. I called about a bad faith insurance case, and was told that they only practice personal injury law. That just seems shady to advertise a whole list of practice areas just to get people to call them, especially when it may impact people who are in these kinds of difficult situations. What does that say about the firm? Trustworthy? I don’t believe so.

I hired Kristen when I was attacked by a vicious dog while riding my bike, and she took my case seriously. She took all of the discomfort out of discussing the mental and physical effects of my injuries while maintaining a realistic stance regarding the valuation of my case, thus managing my expectations. Mr. Shahriar, fought for me above and beyond call of duty.
In May 2020 amid the stress of the coronavirus shut down, I went for a Saturday morning motorcycle ride and a breath of fresh air.
After an oncoming car crossed double yellow lines and nearly amputated my leg, we learned that insurance companies tend to believe car drivers over Motorcyclists.
14 months and 12 surgeries later I will eventually walk again. However, it looked like that was going to cost my family everything.
Both insurance companies were claiming it was my fault in spite of evidence to the contrary. Even the famous "motorcycle lawyers" wouldn't take the case since it was just my word against theirs.
Both companies ended up paying out the maximum.
But that's not the end of the of the story. At this point most lawyers would've taken their cut and gone home.
But that's not what happened.
It turns out Medicare doesn't pay for motorcycle accidents and were coming after me for every bit of it. This last bit was not even in his purview.
Nonetheless, Shahriar went to work on them for months even though that was not part of our contract but just because in his own words "it's just the right thing to do".
I don't know if he eventually convinced them of that or if they gave in so he would stop following up with them every day. Either way, they accepted a greatly reduced payment.
I hope you never need to, but if you ever get in a situation where you need someone to fight for you like "a bulldog on a pant leg" and never give up because that's the right thing to do, I highly recommend Mr. Shahriar Kashanian. He won't let you down.

We hired Gerry to represent us in a medical malpractice suit--as a doctor made some careless mistakes in surgery resulting in the death of my mom. We interviewed a total of six other law firms (2 being top/successful firms in Manhattan and Long Island). Gerry was hired do to his personal presentation (initial office visit) and a strong personal reference that came indirectly from a leader and past president of the New York State Trial Lawyers association, who was also a competitor. Gerry and or his assistant Francis will keep you informed weekly or however you want it set up by email or even phone, never letting you wonder at any point of the litigation what is going on with your case. Remember that your lawyer will representing you during a long and lengthy process, so it is crucial to hire one that makes a good impression & aggressive, but not annoying, as your lawyer will have to deal with many types of personalities during your case. Gerry seemed to fit the criteria. He also helped guide us on how we went about setting up a special needs trust for my disabled sister so she could benefit from the settlement. and we did get a decent settlement. I started working with Gerry about 4.5 years ago, when I discovered his web site and turned for help with a wrongful death case involving my wife. Once retained, Gerry investigated a potential legal action by obtaining medical records and having the case reviewed by a medical expert.
