Mrs. Brianne Van Apeldoorn and Misty Waldroup were my lawyer and paralegal. Right from the initial consultation Mrs. Vans Apledoorn explained exactly how she would recommend going about my case and executed it wonderfully when that time finally came. Misty was very quick with responses and continued to keep me up to date with everything and helped me understand what everything meant if needed.
During pre trial she explained things very well and went over everything to get a feel of how the court proceedings will go. She is very friendly and welcoming.
During trial she objected, questioned, and requested with reasoning things being dismissed before even having the chance to be heard. She was prepared for the long and treacherous day which turned into a shorter than expected day due to her attentiveness and organization. She was able to get our motion granted without needing my witnesses to testify.
It was expensive but for the outcome she delivered it was all worth it. For any family custody matters, I will be returning to her and will absolutely recommend her for any family law issues.

I’m so thankful to have the opportunity to share my experience with Thorp Law. From the beginning, Isaac and his paralegal Tammy expressed empathy with regard to the unforeseen situation I had found myself in following an MVA in November of 2023. At my very first meeting with Isaac and Tammy, they helped me to understand the process I was getting ready to face, as well as their initial plan of action. Also, as I’m sure every law firm does, both of them told me that should I ever have any questions, to not hesitate to reach out to them. I had a very difficult case. My checks did not come on time. I was in serious pain and was not receiving proper medical attention. The T.V. lawyers before Mr. Mast would not keep me informed of my case and acted as though they did not have the time to talk to me. I was frustrated and in pain. A friend of the family introduced me to Mr. Mast and he talked to me and answered my questions honestly. When I told him about my checks being delayed and issues I had with the employees doctors he immediately began making phone calls on my behalf. Mr. Mast will hang in there with you until the end even if he has to go beyond the industrial commission.If you want a ,trustworthy, and responsive, knowledgeable attorney Mr. Mast is the man.He has some of the friendliest staff of people from the receptionist,paralegals and staff attorneys that you would ever want to meet. They make you feel at home offering you a cold drink on a hot day and hot coffee on cold days. Once your case is over he will continue to provide followups to make sure you are alright! I recommend this man and his firm who has proven to be more than a lawyer for hire,but a friend who genuinely cares about you.

Absolute Scam and Unprofessional Behavior
Jeremy,
I hired you to help with a bogus speeding ticket, where I have clear dash cam footage showing my speed, location, and the officer’s actions before and after the stop. The officer claimed I was going 80 in a 45, wrote the wrong location of the stop, and the speed limit on that road was actually 55. My speedometer was at 61, clearly shown on the dash cam. Yet, you had the nerve to tell me you could “maybe” reduce the ticket to a 14-over, despite knowing the entire ticket was a joke.
After this ridiculous introduction, I called the very next day—over a month before the court date—and requested a refund. Your desk lady assured me I’d get a full refund. But today, I get a call telling me the case was continued (even though I fired you), and now you’re only offering half of my payment back because you “spent 20 minutes” on my case? That’s a load of crap.
Then, to top it off you have the audacity to threaten me with legal action if I dispute this scam through my bank. You’re not even competent enough to handle a simple case like this and now you’re acting like a crook. I honestly feel bad for your firm that you’re so desperate for this money, but I’ll be sure to keep on sharing my experience the community.
Keep the half—you clearly need it more than I do.

I’ve now used Paul twice. He’s been more than just a great lawyer, he’s been like a shark in the very best way. After getting denied for disability on my own. I again went to Paul for help. After the first meeting and getting all my information there was very little else I had to do. He kept me in the loop all the way. Up to the day of court, then when I got there he had already spoken with the judge and got the approval for my disability. Paul and his staff are absolutely wonderful in my book.

Do not recommend this law firm! They billed us over $8000 on a review of an agreement. There was no hourly detail on the invoice. When we complained about the invoice amount they agreed to give us a $1500 refund on the invoice and then a Senior Partner reneged on the deal. Bottom line you cannot trust what they commit to!

I live out of state and got a ticket on I-95 while returning home from vacation. The ticket was a must appear. Nancy Meyers and her team at Ward Black were amazing to deal with. I hired them for a SIRVA case. My shoulder injury resulted from a flu shot administered incorrectly at Moses Cone hospital in Greensboro NC in which the hospital denied any wrong doing. I initially met with Mr. Duncan back in January with a no cost, no obligation consultation. At the time, I was overwhelmed with debt (foreclosure, charge offs, and a judgment). Mr. Duncan explained my options in great detail and informed me that my situation (means test pending) qualified for a Chapter 7 Bankruptcy. Mr. Duncan asked me why I decided to contact his law firm instead of the other lawyers in Mecklenburg County. I informed Mr. Duncan that I was thoroughly impressed with the content on his website and his informative YouTube videos. The paralegal (Brooke) that was assigned to my case was very prompt with her email responses and informative. Just as Mr. Duncan stated during our meeting, my court filing date was in March and the trustee /creditors meeting was held in mid April. My Chapter 7 Bankruptcy was discharged at the end of June 2016. I am happy to announce that I have just received my brand new secured credit card in the mail on yesterday!
