Jeff Kaplan is by far the best attorney!!! My husband has been in back forth custody disputes for almost 10years, and has had his fair share of different attorneys, but when Jeff became his attorney, it was a complete game changer. He worked with us even on weekends. Via texting, in person, and emailing if needed. Don’t assume that if you get an attorney through Legal Aide that you won’t get excellent results, because this clearly wasn’t the case. My husband gained full sole custody of my stepdaughter fighting a really ugly custody dispute. Jeff works a lot of different cases, but he made time to help us win our case. I would DEFINITELY recommend him to anyone looking to win!

I was considering filing bankruptcy and I was referred to Mr. Groh. I was extremely nervous about even meeting with him but he immediately put me at ease. He was very straightforward with me about the entire process and assured me that I was making me right decision. He gave me a list of items I needed to return to him before we could move forward and he had my case filed in exactly a week after my initial consultation. He answered any and all of my questions in much detail and within a timely manner. As many questions as I did have, he never made it seem that I was a bother. As much as I did not want to file for bankruptcy I felt like it was my only option and he made the process as smooth as it could possibly be. I was told he was the best around and I agree! I would refer him to anyone.

I was referred to Mr. Groh by a family member who said he was an intelligent and hardworking attorney who assisted her when she needed it. I was arrested and charged with several crimes and was scared about a jail sentence or a ruined future. Mr. Groh worked behind the scenes for months before my trial and recommended several programs which would benefit me before seeing a judge. I walked into the court house the morning of trial and Mr. Groh informed me that everything had been taken care of. Three years later Mr. Groh assisted me with expunging the charges and now I have a clean slate. I don't think any of that would have been possible without him and I would recommend him to anybody in trouble with the law.

Mark is a great lawyer. He met with me a day before my court date to take pictures of where I was pulled over for a dui by supposedly failing to stop at a stop LINE but I did stop at the stop sign 3ft in front of the stop line that was not clearly marked. Mark showed me he was more then worth the money I paid him. Mark did everything he could to get me a not guilty and he was very successful. My dui charges were dropped and Mark even emailed me after court to help me with getting the dui expunged from my records. I would HIGHLY recommend Mark to anyone that needs a lawyer he is the best Lawyer I ever dealt with.

After my three children were in an auto accident we needed a lawyer. When we hired Mike Feldman we got so much more. Two of the children suffered head injuries, one of those injuries severe. One of these children also suffered a major collar bone fracture that ruined here high school sports year. The third child suffered major contusions and a fractured vertebrae. Not only did Mike guide us through the legal and medical web of the things that we needed to do he and his team reached out to us with guidance caring and compassion to help us to get back on the road to recovery. There were many things that we needed to worry about during this recovery period. The medical bills and legal aspects were not among those things. It took over four years to settle the cases for the children. At each turn Mike gave us reassurance, advice and guidance on how to make it through the next step. Also at each step he listened to our cares and concerns and in several cases modified the course of action to accommodate these concerns. When it came time for negotiations with the other side for what we determined to be a fair settlement he showed the tough side of being a lawyer. The children received very fair settlements for the hardships that they suffered. I could go on and on about how well Mike Feldman represented us but I'll suffice it to say that in him we found not just an excellent lawyer but a caring friend.

My wife underwent multiple surgeries and procedures between April and November of 2000 resulting from infections caused by contaminated hip implants. At years end we began to see television ads regarding a specific product. We decided to look for a competent attorney we were comfortable with. We interviewed no less than than four attorneys/groups. When I first talked to Mr. Feldman, my instincts told me there is something special about this guy. I was right. He and his entire team was always up to date on case progress and strategies. I don't believe I ever had to wait more than 30 minutes for a call-back. This was a complex case which eventually ended up in class action due to the number of litigants. There were literally hundreds, if not thousands of forms and documents to submit with strict deadlines. They did it all. We were more than pleased with the results of Mr. Feldman's diligence and professionalism. In the final analysis, we paid the mortgage and put in a pool with enough left over to provide a cushion in our retirement years

Mr Stengel (my attorney) and Ms. Jennifer Manning (his paralegal) provided me with the highest level of legal representation after being involved in an unfortunate automobile accident just prior to Christmas (2021). I was blindsided by the separation paperwork. Obviously my Ex had put time and effort into getting a head start on the divorce and had hired a very good & aggressive divorce lawyer. I contacted equally rated lawyers but most were too ready to start spending $$$ rather than see if an amicable solution could be worked out. But my initial consultation/call with Kari was different. She (and Ann-Marie) were just as interested in me as the case. They worked with me and tried to do things my way - but - were very clear to point out that I was allowing myself to be bullied by my Ex and her lawyer. Wanting to minimize impact on our young adult children, my wife and myself I let myself be pressured into several bad decisions. Kari informed me why the decisions were bad and was willing to bring in other lawyers from her office for their opinions. Fortunately she slowed the process long enough for me to realize the mistakes I was making. Number 1 lesson learned: Listen to your lawyer. The next year and a half was total insanity. While I was a wreck, Kari was able to handle all the nonsense from my Ex's lawyer. Case went to court and the trial lasted three days. While Kari was very competent with managing the process and deflecting the crap from my Ex and her lawyer - She was on an entirely different level in court. Her questioning of my wife left no doubt to the judge who was primarily responsible for the failure of the family. Kari's closing statement caught me by surprise - hearing the cold hard facts reiterated and the emotion in her voice as she detailed the hell me and the kids endured. The judgment was definitely in my favor.

She worked above and beyond my expectations. She was very informative every step of the way and did not make false promises. She works very well under pressure and gets the job done. She always made me feel very secure and comfortable during such a stressful time. I would definitely recommend this lawyer to anyone who is needing an honest and tenacious attorney. The first thing that comes to mind when I think of Kari Fawcett in a divorce case is that she is super intelligent when it comes to law (she has been an attorney for many years), she is super nice and down to earth plus she is not playing around and has 0 tolerance for any bullshit or lies from the opposing side. She is a very aggressive attorney and she knows what she is doing and she will fully have your back on everything. Ms. Fawcett's partner, Ann-Marie Dunn is also super nice, sweet, extremely competent with the law and is a very hard worker. They both worked on my case together, and I call them "The Dynamic Duo." I truly believe, as in my case, that if you retain "The Dynamic Duo," you will have double the power of one attorney, you will have access to talking over the phone with one of them at any given time if the other one is in court, and you will have the superb chance of winning your case. They are definitely aggressive, which is why I retained Kari Fawcett in the first place. My case is over now and we won, but I feel so close to these lovely ladies, that I will be staying in touch with them on a monthly basis just to keep them in my life. I love these 2 attorneys. God forbid if I ever have another divorce, I would definitely, no hesitation, retain Kari Fawcett again and again. I approached Monica Hall as the inevitability of my divorce became evident. Monica is a seriously Good Egg. Divorce is a lousy thing no matter how you slice it. She made it a little less lousy and ultimately achieved the necessary outcome without dragging things out. Monica has been an attorney in the Annapolis area for something like 35 years. I have known her for 10. When we decided to get to work she took a rational, practical, No BS approach as she walked me through the process. We even had a few laughs. It became quickly clear to me that she knows what works based on Law and her wisdom in the Annapolis judicial system. I came to rely on her judgement as she knew how to temper my comments in order to stay focused on a reasonable outcome. She was professional, brutally candid, and (when needed) tough as nails. In working with Paul, it was clear he had good handle on the legal and technical issues involving the situation but equally important was Paul's "bed side manner" in caring about the stress the situation was having on the family. This did not go unnoticed. At times, it felt like a family member was on our side. This is no small item. Other than a medical professional, I'm not sure there is a more important person to display emotional empathy than an attorney. I contacted Jeffrey Schultz about representing me for a small claims appeal case. I was referred to Joel Zuckerman by another outstanding lawyer, Stephen Alexander Shechtel (has a perfect 10 rating on Avvo) whom was recommended to me by a trusted friend’s lawyer, Brian Sadur. This friend (a doctor and father), who had experienced an international marriage/divorce with a Japanese national, fully understood the custody challenges involved when divorcing a Japanese National—for context: Japanese culture advocates sole custody to the Japanese parent as the only and safest option for all Japanese (mixed or otherwise) children (hence Japan’s nickname “the black hole of child abduction”). This friend, who despite being a father and non-Japanese, managed to successful win fair custody access to his children against a Japanese mother—therefore his recommendation was clearly sound. Because of gross manipulation and abuse of the courts by my ex-husband’s lawyer, Jessica Markham (read my google review of Jessica Markham for a more thorough understanding of her slimy fermented underskin), I didn’t get the opportunity to follow-up on the recommendation until after my children were kidnapped in Japan from the USA by their father/my-japanese-ex-husband. Shechtel was unable to take on a new case at the time, but he referred me to Joel Zuckerman, who is not only an exceptional lawyer with an intact moral compass (as he took my case knowing I had already extinguished all my funds on legal fees up to that point), but whom also is experienced with complicated international custody cases. When working on my case, I was blown away by how efficient and concise he worked with his time and communication (being mindful to not waste any of my already depleted funds). He always gave me straight answers (even when he knew it wasn’t the one I wanted to hear) and managed my expectations of what he could or couldn’t do for me. He also worked very fast to meet my fast moving Japanese court deadlines (as my ex always turned in his motions late leaving little time to prepare rebuttals—a shady trick Markham also used in US court). Despite managing my expectations realistically of a low recovery rate with Japan (to date, no non-Japanese parent has ever successfully recovered their child from japan through the Hague convention, and those recovered by other means are estimated to be around 4% in the last 40+ years), he successfully coordinated with my Japanese lawyer, Takao Tanase, to recover my children from parental abduction by means of a Habeas Corpus motion in Tokyo High Court—an insanely difficult task and even more rare feat. I can’t recommend Joel enough to parents in complicated custody battles and feel you won’t find a more hardworking and efficient lawyer with an intact integrity.

Joel Zuckerman represented me during my divorce and support enforcement/recalculation proceedings. I met Mr. Zuckerman by accident. I got a temporary protective order from my ex and I was given the names of 3 attorneys to call. I found Joel Zuckerman on my own without recommendations. I called all 4 attorneys and Mr. Zuckerman was the only one that went above and beyond what I expected. It was my first time going through this and I did not know what to do, think or expect. However, he went directly to the court to get the recording of what my ex told the judge that allowed the judge to grant a temporary protective order. I was impressed. I hired him and during my the protective order hearing he was able to turn everything around. I then hired him for custody because there was an agreement signed that I had no clue of what certain things meant, but he represented me well and I was able to get additional items reverted from the contract I signed. A few years later I hired him again for custody and we won custody and about $1800/month in child support. He was able to uncover a lot of income my ex was hiding. I couldn't have gone through my custody without him. He is experienced and professional, but most importantly he cares.
