There were continuing issues with my divorce that continued for 10 years. My original lawyer was no longer working on these issues. I consulted 2 other lawyers to help solve the outstanding issues. I hired one of them. A resolution required me to go back to court and I wanted a lawyer to help me with this. Both attorneys contacted recommended an adversarial approach. After 10 years, I just wanted to end it. Ms. Karkowsky understood my feelings and was supportive of my plans. She advised me on the necessary procedures and helped with the paperwork. She accompanied me into court. She was always available for questions and moral support. She helped clarify any outstanding issues. I would highly recommend her to anyone needing legal advice.

Doug Gross is not the typical attorney who takes your case and then doesn’t take your calls until HE wants to talk with you. On the contrary, he is attentive and knowledgeable and he cares about you. I've been fortunate to have Doug as my attorney since 2002, through various on-the-job injuries. Worker's compensation can be a confusing and intimidating beast, especially when the employer is a county government that does not care in the least for its public safety employees. It's important to have someone on your side who understands how the system works and cares about your well-being. You need someone who knows what he's doing (which, believe it or not, seems to be more the exception than the rule), and this is the man to call.

He's a brilliant lawyer, which is good. What makes him great is that he cares! Him and Kristina were such a blessing to our family. A positive experience from the start. He found things other lawyers did not find. Those things were not all easy to find out. He delivered hard to hear facts about the case in as good a way as you could hope. After embarrassing the defense he set up my daughter to be taken care of for the rest of her life! We don't have to worry about her being put in a home to be forgotten. What I like the most is that he didn't stop caring after he got paid. He regularly reaches out to check in. I did not expect this!

Michale was great to work with because he made a point to make me feel comfortable by explaining things in a way I could understand them. I appreciate his calm, kind and possitive attitude. It took me a bunch of phone calls and horrible consultations before finding Ms. Jones to handle my worker's compensation case. I live in a smaller town where almost all of the attorneys who will talk to me about a work comp claim will set up a meeting for a lawyer who is in Baltimore in their office. The local lawyers don't take these cases, except this firm. I think they are the only ones who actually handle the work comp cases without shopping it out to another lawyer in the city. Not only did I get local service they are good lawyers too who handle a lot of different stuff.

I reached out to Skipper Law after I and some other owners at my condominium got into a dispute with our HOA over fire damage. I was put in touch Jeff, who was great! Jeff really gave me the sense that his interest was to figure out how to make the financially damaged parties in my case whole. Some other lawyers I'd talked to seemed more eager to sell me services then to figure out how to recover damages. Not Jeff. At several points, I asked about different legal options and his response was that could do them for me and charge me, but that ultimately they would do little to help my case. Thankfully, Jeff steered us away from suing, and helped us find other ways to get compensation. I would trust Jeff implicity to look after legal affairs and to provide sound legal advice.

Several years ago one of my clients became dissatisfied and demanded a refund for work already completed. Unfortunately for me the client was an attorney and so sued me when I refused. I shopped around and found Mr. Sutton who was by far the nicest and most concerned attorney that I had spoken to. It was quickly obvious that was he genuinely interested in helping me. He recommended that I "put the matter to bed" by paying the client because it would be the cheapest and easiest thing to do. Although he was clearly correct I was incensed that my client was essentially blackmailing me because their attorney fees would be zero and mine would be significant. None the less I decided to defend my reputation even though it would be more expensive than settling the case with a refund. Mr. Sutton understood my concern for my reputation and agreed that although I was obviously in the right it was probably not the wisest financial decision I was ever going to make. His zeal in defending me and his handling of the case were such that you would have thought that that he was the one being sued. He virtually took it personally and worked overtime even though I was paying him a fixed-fee for his services!! Although we prevailed at trial, the vindictive client appealed (why not? It cost them nothing) and Mr. Sutton agreed to continue helping defend me at a substantial discount because he realized this other attorney was a.) wrong and b.) abusing their position as an attorney to try to run-up my court cost so I would stop defending myself and pay them. Thanks to Mr. Sutton's hard work and very clever approach to the issues the appeal judge was able to rule in my favor. Thank you Mr. Sutton!! I think I can reasonably say that he is one of the finest attorneys in the country due to his professionalism, concern for his clients, and work ethic. Yet, despite all his hard work he was one of the most reasonably priced attorneys that I consulted in my search. If you need legal help, do not hesitate to hire him, you'll be glad you did.

Jon handled my medical malpractice claim. He is extremely knowledgeable and able to communicate the laws, process and options clearly so that a lay person can understand. Early on he developed a strategy to handle the case, explained it to us for our concurrence and executed it to a tee. He is aggressive but looks for a satisfactory resolution without necessarily going to court. His extensive background in this area and innumerable contacts in the field made the process relatively painless. He and his staff (Missy) were always available to meet with us or to discuss things over the phone. As we proceeded through the process Jon kept us advised of what was happening even as things moved slowly thorough the system. One of my fraternity brothers is a lawyer who handles medical malpractice cases for hospitals (essentially Jon's opponent). When I asked him about Jon he said "he is one of the good guys". Enough said

Jon Brassel was my attorney for a wrongful death case. My husband died from aortic dissection, that could have been prevented. Jon came from his office in Annoppolis to Salisbury to meet with me. If I had to use only two words to describe Jon they would professional and companionate. You need both of those qualities when in a situation such as mine. I was 36 years old, our son was 8, devastated would be putting it mildly. When we met he had some information I sent him. I was afraid I was going to break down at this meeting. He ask questions, let me tell my story, and with his professional and compatiante manner I got through it. Leaving that day feeling hopeful. When I would get updates from Jon he explained process and laws and circumstances and made sure understood. If I didn't I never felt rushed, if I had questions. We went to deposition, the doctor sat in the room, his two attorneys and a recorder. I did not feel intimidated, I was comfortable with Jon being on my side of the table. Some time later we closed, we won. I went to his office I met his team of professionals who worked on my case. I still contact Jon from time to time and have sent pictures of life events. I consider him my friend. He gave me strength, hope and confidence. He is the reason I was able to carry on and live my life without financial burdens. I am so thankful to have found him to represent me.

Mr Ellis was my divorce lawyer. I can only say positive things. The reason I hired him in the first place is because he stated his main concern was the well being of my children. His every action and decision and advice was based on what was best for my children first ( which in turn ended up being best for me). Mr. Depastina help me out so much! I couldn't be happier... I went through a hardship several years ago and was behind on my mortgage thousands and thousands of dollars I reached out for help from the bank and other lawyers and was turned down from the bank and about 3 different lawyers saying there was nothing that could be done to help me...I thought I was never going to get out of this nightmare. After 3 years of being depressed and not knowing weather I was going to keep the house I was referred to talk to Anthony. He gave me a lot of guidance and was very knowledgeable and knew exactly how to handle the situation. The long short of it I was approved for the modification program and all the late fees were waved and the principle balance was reduced I saved about $150,000 dollars and my mortgage went from $1800 a month to $1048. I cant thank Anthony Depastina enough I couldn't have done it without him. If anyone is in a similar situation or knows anyone that is please call Anthony you will not be disappointed!!!

I was injured in a bad motorcycle accident where i lost my right so i searched 3 months for a lawyer before i choose Charlie. As I was talking with lawyers I took a pad with me and told them that I was interviewing them to see who i wanted and that I was going to take notes so i would remember because after i was done i would need to go back and review them to make make an informed decision. Gosh, now what a rude awaking to the competency of some of these people or lack ther of did i find because out of 26 lawyers I only found 3 that I liked and only after looking back at my notes could i determine that my decsion was a no brainer. Steve Poirier was one of the best calls I made. He took immediate attention to my situation and quickly attended to my needs. Within a day he had calmed my anxiety by putting the situation in a reasonable perspective. I was facing a slew of charges and was facing serious consequences. Custody issues can be very stressful not only for the parent, but the children as well. I am a father who had a lot against me and when it seemed that no one else believed me or would fight for me or my children she was right there. She always responded to emails and phone calls no matter how small the situation may have seemed. She walked me through each process giving me the best advice on what I should or shouldn't do. The praises sang of Mr. Suissa were great enough to convince me to call him, and that was one of the best decisions I've ever made. With a divorce case as complex as mine, Mr. Suissa handled the delicate matters with finesse and the difficult issues with careful intensity. In courtroom presentation, Mr. Suissa is a charming powerhouse that is sure to deliver very well, as he exudes confidence, displays decorum, defends with subtle passion, and speaks with eloquence. In life we never really expect to need an attorney. When/ if that time comes like most people I was scared of what to expect, the trustworthiness, the knowledge of my specific case, how long would this take.. All of my questions were answered, and answered timely. I never felt like I was "bothering him" Nick took time to understand my point of view, understand the case, he remembered facts. Yes part of this was "his Job" but above and beyond his job was the kind tone I heard on the other end of the phone each time I called, the rapid response of answering emails . The time he took to explain the details of my case to me. Law is not my area of expertise. I was confused and uneducated at times during this process, he made sure I understood each step of the way. He let me decide how to proceed with his guidance. He explained the benefit of each possible out come of my case. I never felt forced to make a decision to get my case over with. Each time a document that we were waiting on came in, I knew it arrived. When struggles arose in the case I was made aware of that as well. When appointments were needed, example a doctor appointment, I knew why it was needed and what to expect while there. When I had to sign documentation that looked like it was in a foreign language, because it used terms I did not understand, Nick broke down every sentence when I needed him to. He never treated me as though I was just a client, or beneath him if I did not understand what was happening he and his team always took time with me . I had a clear understanding of this process. Nick and his team were educated, helpful, understanding, and patient, . The guidance they provided went above what I expected.
