Chris O’Brien (& his team) are incredibly honest people and tenacious lawyers. After working with him for ~2 years, I can confidently say they’re in this for the right reasons and you want them on your side. I was viciously attacked by a dog (leaving permanent scarring even through layers of clothing) — and the dog owners not only showed no regard for my injuries they tried every trick in the book to avoid taking any responsibility (including moving out of state after the bite was reported). Chris didn’t give up on fighting for me — and ultimately was kind enough to even waive his fees given the final settlement value. Chris truly cares about the well being of his clients, which is something you’ll need when you’re at your most vulnerable. He’s a straight shooter yet also very charismatic — I would recommend him to any of my friends & family.

There's no words to Express how thankful I am for what he did for me and my husband. It's been over 8 months since my husband was released from ice custody. My then fiance was taken by ice custody on April of 2018 he had DUI's. We had a lawyer who was recommended to us who which didn't put any effort to get him out. That lawyer went for a straight voluntary departure. We weren't happy with that so we then met Nestor Diaz who I felt put his heart to our case. He made us feel like the only case he had to work on was ours. Even though we had a lot of obstacles Nestor always showed a positive attitude. It took a year of fighting but at the end he was able to get my husband released from ICE custody. If you are thinking about hiring Nestor, think no more!! Earlier this year I fell on hard time in terms of debt, I was trying to pay it off and refused to give up. Jim is fantastic!!! I would not hesitate to get him again if God forbid, I ever need him again. He was always way on top of everything, got whatever needed to be done completed, answered my phone calls very promptly in emails if not by phone or in person. He has gone way above the call of duty. He claims he is not a miracle worker, but my son and I definitely disagree. He got us way more than we anticipated he would for my sons case. In 2013 I was involved in a severe bicycle accident caused by a motor vehicle. In cases such as this, no matter the evidence, the cards tend to be stacked heavily against the bicyclist. As an avid cyclist himself, Jim was intimately aware of the prejudice that bicyclists must face in the legal world, and took every step to overcome this and make sure that the (very high) costs of my medical treatment were covered by the appropriate parties.
