My wife and I were in a pretty bad accident, roughly a year and a half ago. A drunk driver hit us from behind, at approximately 50 miles per hour. We flipped, crashed into a tree, and I blacked out after I was torpedo'd into the back seat. I woke up in the hospital several hours later, confused, scared, and in a lot of pain.
Fast forward a few days.
My wife and I are in pain, and are incredibly frustrated. We've never had to deal with something like this before, and it was very daunting. After a quick Google search of lawyers in the area, we soon landed on Joye Law Firm.
A short while later, we were introduced to the wonderful Jeff Gerardi, and our pre-existing fears of "evil blood sucking lawyers" melted away. Jeff was kind, patient, and very clear in his guiding us through the unknown process ahead of us.
A year and a half later, my wife and I are back to full health. Jeff Gerardi helped us manuever the tricky insurance battlefields, and we walked away with enough money in our settlement to get married, pay off all of our student loans, and make a down payment on a house!!
What could have been the worst event of our lives, ended up being a massive blessing in disguise. And Jeff Gerardi was the man who made it all happen for us.

Attorney Lourie is by far THE most Honest, Loyal, Tenacious, Caring and Honorable person one could wish to have handle legal issues. His 'can do' approach is only second to his excellent, courteous manner. He only gives the facts and fights hard to see that Justice is done. I retained Kevin for a separation case, and am extremely glad that I did. His initial fact gathering session with me was extremely thorough, and enabled him to clearly define my options and possible outcomes. His communication with me throughout the process was unprecedented. He personally kept me up to date on developments and the path he saw as being best. His creativity in developing a final agreement within an extremely short window of time (3 weeks) helped alleviate a long, litigious process and allowed me to get back to my life post marriage. He is extremely knowledgeable of case law, and can "think on the fly" if necessary. In the end, he basically wrote the agreement to which opposing counsel willingly accepted. John Holland was great from the beginning. With him being my 3rd lawyer on my case. Needless to say future lawyers, at the time of contact, weren't to interested in taking a case two other lawyers have been removed, fired, from. John listened to what I had to say and the problems I was having with previous lawyers. He was the only lawyer that "didn't" tell me, right from the start, "Oh, a father getting full custody of his young child is NOT likely to happen in the State of SC. " But of course they would do all they could and take my case. Leading absolutely no where. Then I met John Holland. I honestly don't believe he believed much of what I had to say. After all, I had already gone through 2 attorneys. He was straight up and let me know that if what I was telling him was on the up and up he would take the case. As time went by it was obvious that what I had been saying was true. John gave me the benefit of the doubt and worked extremely hard on my case. Never once mentioning in "SC Father's don't get custody". Well I'm hear to tell all the Father's out there, don't buy into the hype. Great lawyers can achieve great things. Took 6 years total. The last couple years with John fighting for me. As of July 29, 2022 I am happy to say I have full custody of my son. If your a Father that believes you should have custody of your children then fight for that. If you decide to fight, especially in SC, than you'll need a great attorney. John Holland is your man. If you don't give up than John won't either.

I was just an ordinarytourist on a trip to Charleston, walking the historic town and enjoying the sights, when a careless driver behind the wheel of a vehicle hit me and altered both part of my body and my life. ……….. The lawyer that I initially signed with was not able to dig me out of the hole of medical bills that I eventually did acquire. As a result, he ended up handing my case over to Allison Gutberlet. I cannot thank that lawyer enough. From the start, Ms. Gutberlet was both highly professional and truly understanding. She was the way human beings are supposed to be, but often seem to fail at being. The way lawyers are supposed to be, but often seem to fail at achieving. From our very first conversation, she took the time to genuinely listen to my concerns. Not just give me time to talk in between her own sentences, but genuinely listen. Mr. James Bannister and his father, Mr. Oscar Bannister are extraordinary people and attorneys! Words can never accurately express their greatness! My children and I went through a horrific ordeal when we were seperated unwarranted due to an assault on myself. Because I had pending charges due to the assault ( the father of my child claimed that I shot him without reason but it was proven that I had reason and the rights to stand my ground after he forced his way into my home) my children were temporarily placed in the custody of a relative!
