To hire the services of this firm was one of the best decisions I ever made.

Ms. Kristen Yurkowski Wight represented a custody case for us. We are so thankful for deciding to follow her as she transitioned from a previous practice over to Tobias Iszard. The staff at Tobias Iszard are much more responsive. This young lady is the total package. She has the looks and brains to make things happen for you. She is very meticulous and direct, but honestly her most intriguing attribute as a lawyer is her sense of care. We've been through 3-4 lawyers in the matter of custody and a lot of times it's just a job for them. They speak the good game when trying to reel in your business, but as soon as you sign, you become another case number in their books. Different practices will toss you and your case to their assistants and paralegals. Often times, depending on your case, you may even get an alternate lawyer within the practice when it comes court time. Ms. Yurkowski handled our case with the utmost care. She keeps in constant contact, and months after the case has ended, she continues to check in. Thank you Kristen for being our shining light and successfully getting us through our case. Brenda Waugh (Waugh Law & Mediation) mediated our divorce in 2019, which was contentious and difficult on many levels, to include dealing with the legal custody of my then 13-year-old son. Relations between my wife (at the time) and me were poor at best. With the excellent assistance of Adam Collins, Mark listened carefully to our story, identified the alleviating circumstances and took careful and systematic steps to approach the case. He established and maintained communication with the police and prosecution, suggested a driving habits course to be taken, and made an excellent presentation of the case during the actual court hearing. Mark succeeded in dropping the reckless driving charge to a speed ticket and above all with clean DMV records. We would definitely recommend Mark for any case in Northern Virginia / Washington DC area.

The absolute WORST law firm ever my fiance & I have been waiting on a case from Nov 2022 which was transferred from Franklin and Franklin because they retired and it has been a headache/NIGHTMARE every since they had the case from 2022. The case is scheduled to go to court which now they are telling me, I may not even get a court date until 2026 hopefully, I'm still alive. I will never ever do business with this law firm ever again.. The case went from Mr. Smircina & Ashley Gay which we NEVER heard from Mr. Smircina to supposedly the supervisor of litigations to now someone else name Scott said/his paralegal Melissa. They do not reach out once a month as they state you always have to contact them to get any updates on your case. This has been an ongoing nightmare. I will be so glad when it's over I'm looking to transfer my case to another law firm if someone will pick it up 4yrs to wait to settle is ABSOLUTELY RIDICULOUS. I WILL NEVER DO BUSINESS WITH THIS LAW FIRM AGAIN! In December 2022, my father was involved in a serious automobile accident when a driver struck him while he was crossing the street. He required several life-saving surgeries immediately following the incident.
To handle my father's case, I reached out to Becker, Kellogg & Berry, P.C. law firm. They accepted our case promptly and did not require any upfront fees. While I faced difficulties contacting the Fairfax County police for a complete account of the incident, including uncooperative and discourteous responses from the responding officer, Attorneys Brendan Ahern and Nathalie Johnson-Noon took swift action.
They diligently gathered all pertinent police body camera footage and EMT response logs to ascertain the facts of the situation. The firm efficiently managed all paperwork through email and digital signatures, so we never had to visit their office in person. Despite the initial police report not being favorable, Brendan and Nathalie remained steadfast in their efforts, providing continuous support and never losing hope.
The settlement process took nearly 1.5 years, but throughout this period, both attorneys maintained regular contact, inquiring about my father's recovery and demonstrating a genuine concern for his well-being. Their personal touch was deeply appreciated.
