We are currently at the middle of our legal journey and I am taking the opportunity to express, on behalf of my mother, the legal heir, and on behalf of myself, our gratitude and high accolades to their outstanding job. We are living overseas, in Europe, so most of the communication has been done via e-mail and telephone, but that has not been an obstruction. All communication has been clear, transparent and in time, which is important as a moral support for my family and I. After a close relative passed away, I needed a probate lawyer who I could trust and be comfortable with. Since I live in Canada, I was not familiar at all with California’s legal system. I needed a lawyer that could offer piece of mind and whom I could trust given the long distance working relationship. I was refered to Alexander by a friend who lives in LA. I found Alexander to be very easy to talk to, professional and friendly. He answered all of my questions and made me feel comfortable with the probate process. He always answered my questions in a timely manner and kept me informed as the process moved along. I certainly do not regret hiring Alexander and would recommend to anyone looking for a good, reliable and knowledgeable probate lawyer.

I had a consultation with Alexander Ginzburg on the phone regarding a divorce. He provided me with undivided attention and was very patient and courteous. Matthew took my case last minute he heard me out was patient and I promise you I had to wait years for justice to be finally heard before I met Matthew. Matthew Sheasby is nothing short of amazing. I was so scared to get out of my marriage and he not only got me out, he had my back every single step of the way. It is important to Steve that his clients fully understand different ways to structure a trust, so that we are able to make informed decisions. He addresses both the legal and more affective aspects of the trust. He also stresses the importance of regularly revisiting the trust so it remains accurate & up to date. I researched a long time before I finally settled with Steven Oakley. He was very professional and had a great presentation and made us so comfortable from the beginning. We trust our estate planning with him and would recommend others to do the same. It takes 3 meetings to get your estate planning done. The first is a free initial meeting where he explains what he does and the pricing options. Then if you do decide to go with him then during the second meeting you provide all your information for your estate planning. You get a DPOA , an advance directive, beneficiaries if you or your spouse dies all set up and more. Then during the third meeting he hands you your estate planning folder with everything in it along with a CD copy and he goes through everything with you. You also receive an Emergency Medical Information Card you can keep in your wallet if ever you get hospitalized. He answered all our questions and everything that I wanted on my checklist for estate planning was marked off because of him. There is a yearly annual review that you must pay for but it is worth it because you need to keep your estate planning updated or else some things might become invalid. The price is on the higher end but you definitely pay what you get for and I wouldn't want to pay cheap when it comes to my family and estate planning. Like he said to us during his presentation, think of it as an investment into your future for you and your loved ones.

I can't say enough about how amazing Ms. Howse is as a person and as an attorney. I retained Ms. Howes's services along with my 2 siblings during a really terrible time in our lives we had just lost our father and now needed to embark upon litigation against our fathers wife due to her intentionally interfering with our inheritance. Amy was so incredibly compassionate and understanding. She was incredibly thorough and patient with us because we had no clue what we were getting ourselves into. Amy walked us through every step of the way for almost 3 years. Hands down this was one of the hardest things I have ever had to go through but I never felt lack of support from Amy. She was open to hearing our thoughts and long winded explanations at times. She was protective of us when opposing counsel was attempting to bully us she was right there to back him down. She worked tirelessly and efficiently as we are young adults trying to fund a very expensive law suit. I very rarely write reviews about anything but I cannot recommend Michael Foster enough! I recently had a landlord / tenant issue that I initially tried to resolve on my own. But the other side was being extremely difficult and refusing to resolve or settle the dispute. I ended up contacting Michael Foster. Michael really took the time to listen and understand my issue. He explained all of my options and ultimately was able to get the matter resolved entirely to my satisfaction. I ultimately got everything I was asking for from the other party and I couldn't be happier.

I hired Karen to represent me in my divorce case. I was treated very well by Karen's staff and especially by Karen, herself. Karen provided consultation services to me over 15 years ago and was amazing. She was helpful, very patient and kind during my legal proceedings. In 2012 I went back to Karen for legal assistance. She was unavilable for my court date but provided me with a list of attorney's she would recommend, but she was always available if I needed her help with any of the issues with my case. I retained a different firm and regret it completely. Once the divorce was over and the other firm substituted out of my case, I retained Karen for the custody issues. Karen and her staff are easy to talk to, reliable and very knowledgable about Family Law. Karen has always been fair, not just to me but to both parties, ensuring the children are the number one priority in the case.

several years ago I received advice to start a trust for my wife's grandmother and part of that advice was that I didn't need a lawyer to execute it or implement it upon grandma'so passing. last year grandma passed away and my wife and I found ourselves lost and overwhelmed with all the paperwork and legal matters. My husband and I hired Mr. Flanigan to handle my in-law's estate planning prior to my mother-in-law's transition into long term care. Despite being an attorney, I had no familiarity with this area of law and we sought out Flanigan's office after several places recommended we speak with him. I went through a different attorney to create an Irrevocable trust to do what I thought was Medi-cal planning.
After about 8500 in hourly charges for this and that I was still without Medi-cal eligibility and without the support I needed to do it on my own. A social worker at Interim referred me to Mr. Philip Flanigan and said that she and others there in her office refer clients to him- that his office processes Medi-cal fast. I was happy she did. His staff was super sweet and they were so very accommodating *despite my overstressed nature*. When we got the notification from their staff that mom became eligible- I cant put into words how relieved I was. My regret is not going to Mr. Philip Flanigan first. I will be writing a negative review for the initial attorney. I recommend to anyone out there looking for an attorney with knowledge, experience, and a great staff that will walk you through to the end-- see Philip! He has been a life saver and I cant say enough how thankful I am to have been given his name. Thank you Philip and Staff!

Coming from a family of attorneys who died with elder abuse and fraud connected to their deaths and estates, I have been beside myself dealing with corrupt and incompetent lawyers in the last several years. Out of the hundreds that I have connected with, I can usually tell in a matter of minutes what they are about, especially since I have a degree in psychology which helps me read people a little bit better. Joel has given me endless hours of free help and is the most compassionate, competent, caring attorney I have found since dealing with the probate nightmare you hear about too often with lawyers contributing to the abuse of seniors out of greed. Joel is the exact opposite and has so much compassion that even though he's on overload usually with trials and pending litigation, he picks up his phone and takes the time to listen and help. If he were like most lawyers out there he could have charged me thousands of dollars for his time yet did not. We need more attorneys like him out there to make up for the rest. Of course, things had changed dramatically for our family, including grandchildren. And, we honestly didn't understand our dated documents. We found Hannah through Yelp. She was highly rated. And, her military service, education, and community service sealed the deal in terms of contacting her.
We scheduled our free consultation and brought with us all of our documents. We spent well over an hour with Hannah where we discussed our concerns, asked a lot of questions, and received answers that we could actually understand. At the conclusion of the session, we felt very comfortable that Hannah was the right lawyer to help us update our documents.
We learned about how the laws had changed and Hannah reviewed all of our documents and also advised us on which assets should be included in the trust. She provided us with several alternatives for achieving our goals. She then committed to a timeframe when the updated documents would be ready for review.
We had several email exchanges during the course of her updating the documents. And, once she delivered draft documents to us, we changed our minds in several areas and we provided Hannah with our requested changes.
