Trust litigation is a very sensitive area of Law considering all that is at stake when you have decided that you need to seek legal council it can feel very overwhelming. Hackard Law handled my case with the utmost professionalism and compassion as if I was part of there family. Brian was patient and took the time to listen and understand my case. He always returned my calls and messages promptly. He never dismissed any questions I had or concerns. And if I brought up aspects of my case that were not completely relevant or that could possibly draw the matter out further, Brian didn’t automatically agree and I felt that at all times he genuinely had my best interests at heart and I respected him tremendously for that. This is how it should be when you hire an Attorney. Because they are working to fight for you and you should feel that at all times your Attorney has your back. I always felt that way with Brian and Hackard Law. Mr Mike Hackard had even taken time on his Saturday to call me personally and really get to know the aspects of our family. Hackard Law genuinely made me feel like my case mattered to them. Even during this pandemic there attention to detail and respect to your time was absolutely superb. I had contacted several firms before them and had calls unanswered, was told they weren’t accepting new clients, etc. I stumbled upon Mike Hackards Trust Litigation informational videos and ads online and I gave them a call. My call was returned that same day and I was really anxious because I didn’t have a lot of money and I knew they were in the more elite class of Law Firms. To my surprise they worked with me to negotiate my contract so that both parties benefited and there was no doubt I made the right choice. Brian resolved my case swiftly and even when the other party resorted to a couple slight insults Brian stayed professional at all times. That always tells me the true character of a person and a business. They will fight for you not because they just want to win but because they know it’s the right thing to do and they will stand firm on those beliefs. For anyone trying to decide if Hackard Law is the right choice and for the reviews that may have not had a winning case I can say with utmost confidence it would not have been for there lack of effort. Not all cases are cut and dry and you don’t always win in life. But considering all that is at stake when you have to make the hard choice to hire an Attorney to represent you in a matter that almost certainly will cause families to be torn apart, I would choose Hackard Law Firm every time to be on my side!

Brian Geremia represented me when my sister and brother sued me for our Aunt's estate. I was literally devastating when I was notified of the suit. I called the office (Hackard Law) along with several others. From the first phone call to the last this company took care of me. I could not have asked for better representation. Brian is very compassionate and thorough he didn't miss anything. His anticipation of pretty much every move they made was spot on.

Without question, Ilian is my hero. I am a widow and my case was unusual. My husband and I owned a vacation home located in the Idyllwild area. When he passed, it became necessary for me to sell the house. Two real estate agents persuaded me into acting as the bank for a 'buyer' they both vouched for. He did not obtain a bank loan. In the four years he lived in the home, his payments were consistently late (for the last one and one-half years no payments were made); he NEVER paid any of the real estate taxes, home owner's dues and fire insurance fees. Because the home was technically in his name and I was not a bank, this became a very challenging case for Ilian. He encountered many road blocks yet always found resources to get over the hurtles. Did I mention that the 'buyer' thought he was smarter than anyone in the room, was a persuasive talker (con-man), and a pervasive liar. I came very close to actually losing my house to this man which would have severely damaged my financial health. Due to Ilian's knowledge, thoroughness, attention to detail and immense patience, the house successfully sold. He routinely sent me a monthly detailed account of his activities, hours spent and cost. He was always fair and accurate. Absolutely worth every penny! I highly recommend Ilian Alchehayed.

Sharon filed a Heggstad Petition to obtain order transferring Grandparents house back into name of trust. Their home was removed from trust to process reverse mortgage and lender/bank was supposed to record deed back into trust but failed to do so. Sharon obtained order and our family was able to purchase family home instead of it going into foreclosure and sold at auction. She was very kind, attentive, and walked us through the entire process. Our family learned a lot through this process and we are so thankful Sharon was there to help us.

Sharon assisted my sister when her son passed unexpectedly at only 50 years old. It was tragic and very emotional for us and Sharon was very empathetic with our situation and sincerely cared... that meant the world to us.
On the legal side, she walked us through the options and made the process as simple and seamless as it could have possibly been.

Mr. Huber helped me and my husband with our living trust. He was very patient with us as we really procrastinated getting our draft paperwork to him and cancelled our appointment three times. My parents and I had a wonderful experience working with Ed and his staff. My parents wanted to create a living trust and I wanted to find someone in the Sacramento area that spoke their native language (Cantonese and Taishanese). English is their 2nd language and it would be hard for them to fully comprehend some of those legal questions. I wanted them to feel comfortable in speaking and asking questions without a need for a translator. I’m very happy I was able to come across Ed’s business and after talking directly to him I felt he would be able to communicate just fine with my parents and we set up an initial meeting for my parents to see if they would like to work with him. My husband and I were delaying the process of putting together a living trust/will. At times it just seemed overwhelming and frankly, something we just didn't want to take the time to do. Obviously it is extremely important and when we finally decided to make the move to get this completed, we had a couple of lawyers in mind. My wife and I wanted to upgrade and have a review conducted of our trust that was established in the year 2000. Mr. Fong came very highly recommended by some friends. He and his team were incredibly professional and at the same time treated us with patience and courtesy. I gave Julia a 5 star review in 2012 after she stepped in and corrected the many errors in my parents’ estate plan that resulted from one of the “free lunch” seminars that are held in the desert.
She has continued to provide 5 star service every step of the way...from my mother’s death, property sales, a remarriage, and finally wrapping up my parents’ estate after my father’s death.
Julia’s extensive expertise in the law, taxes and real estate means you don’t need to involve multiple professionals—she can deal with just about any issue that comes up in a professional and timely manner.
My only regret is I no longer live in California, so I must find a new attorney. They will have big shoes to fill!

Julia assisted my sister and I with our fathers probate down in California. We had previously been working with another attorney that literally did nothing for us. He dragged his feet and never even so much as present simple paperwork to the courts after 6 months of employing him as our representation. We promptly parted ways with that attorney and were directed to Julia. I can tell you that the work she did for us was a breath of fresh air. She was extremely prompt in all of her responses and thorough in her communication. She went to bat for us in court to try to get things sped along as the previous attorney had left us in a tight bind and delayed the probate closing by 6 months. I'am not an attorney but I do have a great background in client services and I can speak for my sister and myself by saying that Julia was a delight to work with and left both of us with a sense of ease knowing that she was getting everything done for us. I must say that I have never been in a situation where I even needed a lawyer to represent me and guide me along what I needed to do. But Nicole Heffel made the whole "rather unpleasant" ordeal a breeze. Having been accused of "assault and battery" and having a restraining order filed against me, Nicole was awesome in gathering the facts, witnesses, documents and held my hand through the process. She kept me informed of what could happen ... but in the end ... we came out smiling. The full restraining order was dismissed and, as of today, I've heard nothing more from the person that accused me. I learned a lot in this process. Nicole Heffel is definitely one fine lawyer.

My wife and I engaged the services of Nicole earlier this year for two reasons: 1) to create our estate plan document and 2) to help me navigate the VA system for a disability claim.
