I personally hired Amber Rodriquez to assist me in the administration of my parents trust. She also represented me in a civil lawsuit against my parents trust by my sibling. Amber updated a trust for me by consolidating several complex trusts into one simple trust. After originating a new trust, we placed several pieces of property in it. It was a complicated procedure as we were selling one under the new trust and exchanging for other properties. This process was handled efficiently and everything went smoothly. Probably one of the best attorneys I have ever worked with. He really is a godsend.
Originally, I had an older lawyer, and he was not doing a good job at all. Three years in court with no results. I fired him and Hired Richard.
In less than a year Richard got the 4 unit apartment building transferred into my name that my mother had left me in her will. He really took it to the opposing council at trial. We are waiting for the Judge's decision now. I feel optimistic about the outcome. So glad he was recommended to me. He is worth every penny

I was referred to Richard by my mother’s previous attorney. When I called him, I needed a legal guardian for my elderly mother to make sure another family member was not pressuring her to do anything against her will. She needed objective legal advice and Richard provided her with that.
We came to Richard in a time of emotional upheaval within our family. He explained everything to my mother in calm manner and took care of all the tedious work we just couldn’t handle. He made sure that my mother’s best interest was the focus of every document that came our way. Richard was able to work with my brother and I during a conservatorship proceeding regarding my mother. We were at conflict with her second husband. Richard was able to deal with my brother and I as we got emotional during the negotiations before we went to court. He helped us come to an agreement that was agreed to by both parties before the courts were involved. Richard also really seemed to be cognizant of the cost and in my opinion tried to keep it as low as he could for us. This was appreciated.

Contacted three highly regarded local attorneys for guidance around settling an estate with out-of-state assets and residency. One office didn't return my call. The second office cancelled our initial consult on learning of out-of-state assets.
Merv personally contacted me back for details of the estate situation. He followed through with a thoughtful and professional (free) consult despite clear evidence I'd instead need to use an out-of-state attorney. He patiently answered numerous questions, put me at ease, and provided counsel that aided me immensely.
When it is time to review or revise my own estate planning Merv will be the first person I call.

Mr Miller was so accommodating assisting me previously, I was confident he would be equally helpful . We discussed the pros and cons in layman’s terms. All my concerns were addressed to my satisfaction. His staff was genuinely helpful in all aspects, as well.This was all done following Corvid guidelines and his concern for safety. All Documents were signed digitally, and Notary physically visited my home to finalize. The new Trust documents were delivered FedEx to my home in a professional and organized binder. My father, now deceased for close to a quarter of a century, was meticulous. He spent months looking for an estate lawyer he could trust. He settled on Merwyn a year or so before his passing. He did not have a large estate but he was particular about how he wanted it passed on especially how he wanted it set up for my mother who survived him by more than a decade. Merwyn was successful.
It was only natural that my wife and I used Merwyn to establish our trust a decade or so ago. And just this year we had our family trust reviewed and updated to ensure our estate would pass to our direct descendants with as little as possible ending up in federal or state coffers. Neither my wife or I will be around to see how we succeeded, but I have faith, based on my experience with my parents estate, that we will meet our goals with Merwyn’s help.

I very seldom write reviews but I feel compelled to tell people what a great experience I had with Benjamin Fox at Hubert Fox Trust and Estate law attorney office in Elk Grove California. One look at their website and you will feel at ease before you even pick up the phone. Dealing with attorneys can be very scary, at least it was for me. After just a few minutes speaking with Ben about a Trustee issue, I felt confident he knew what he was talking about and he explained my options in a very straightforward way without making me feel like an idiot. Recently, I hired Counselor At Law Mr. Noel Lawrence to assist me in settling a matter with a company that takes advantage of senior citizens.
Because the seniors are not expected to live a long life, the company overcharges the seniors. The company is counted on the seniors to "kick off" soon, thus the company can keep the property and funds of the seniors. This is not true.
Mr. Lawrence knows his way around a courtroom. He went after the company with an intense professionalism. I highly recommend hiring Mr. Lawrence as a Counselor at Law. I found him to be extremely helpful with my situation.

Yes, I can be a bit dramatic, but let me say it again, WoW! I liked his picture and "ready for a courtroom showdown" so gave him a cold call. He was the most gracious, well mannered attorney I've spoken to. I'm a Paralegal and have a pending probate case so that says a lot! Aside from his excellent manner and professionalism, the guy knows his stuff. I have been through five (thought it was only 3:) probate attorneys for the last 9 years and Mr. Hankin gave me information that was pivotal to the success of my case; information that I should have already been told. I know, where was he 9 years ago! Let me tell you, he would have been my attorney and this case would have come to a conclusion years ago. I recently posted a review of this attorney but my review may have been premature, as we were not yet finished completing our exchanges. Since my earlier review Mr. Hankin wrote to me again. He shed tremendous light on the one pressing question that baffled me, and he did so in a professional manner.
My initial aim was to utilize his services in the Appellate Courts, but it appears my case lacks the "teeth" for a successful appeal. If that were not my unfortunate predicament I'd most assuredly hire Mr. Hankin. Sometimes the devil is in the details. He's a details oriented attorney who takes the time to explain matters to his clients and prospective clients.
I can't speak to other areas of his law practice, but for anything pertaining to California Trusts or Probate matters he's the "go-to" attorney!

Our family trust was created several years ago, and we knew that several changes were needed. We are so fortunate to have found Mr. Boss to do this work for us. Not only was his knowledge of trust law thorough and up-to-date, but he was very clear and also patient in his explanation to us of various provisions in the trust. I was the Executor of a Will with a trust benefiting two beneficiaries, myself and an estranged family member. When this responsibility was thrust on me I was busy with my business, refused to contact the second beneficiary and mostly ignored Don's direction and advice. I want to recognize the excellent experience we had with Megan Moghtaderi and her team. We had a situation where we needed a loan to the family trust in order to avoid triggering higher property taxes under Proposition 19, and we needed assistance with finalizing the distribution of the trust assets. We had been working with a previous attorney who was unable to complete the job, and time was of the essence.
Megan and her team obtained and reviewed the files from the previous attorney, worked with the loan company on a rush basis to calculate the distribution schedule and loan amount, facilitated the property transfer, filed the documentation with the assessor, and provided the documentation needed for taxes and beneficiary distribution.
Megan was clearly experienced and professional in handling this type of work, and was very patient and responsive to numerous emails and phone calls throughout the process. She was instrumental in finalizing the trust situation for us.
I will not hesitate to work with Megan in the future and highly recommend her for any trust needs.

Though I had been under the mistaken impression she was a decent and loving person, that turned out to be an illusion. My husband and I needed a will and a trust before we left on a vacation to Africa. We really did not give Summer a lot of time to do this. She had it finished and ready to sign in record time. In a day and age when qualified, ethical, experienced, fairly-priced, communicative attorneys are as rare as a Sumatran rhino, along comes Desmond Tuck. I have been working with Mr. Tuck for over 20 years on various issues, most notably matters involving real estate. Without delving into details, I can safely say that you will be unlikely to find anyone better if you tried. He knows the law, but he also knows how to make it work to your advantage. Most importantly, he will never tell you what you want to hear just so you hire him. If you want a lawyer to sugar-coat and tell you things to make you feel nice (when they are undeserved), he is not the one for you. If, on the other hand, you want to receive help that is based on reality and in the context of our disastrously dysfunctional California legal system, Mr. Tuck is the only one I would count on. Knowing how to navigate the system in a logical, rationale, and informed manner is one of his biggest (of many) strengths. As far as trust is concerned, I know that is a concern of many when it comes to lawyers in general. So, imagine a world where you were 100% sure your lawyer was expertly looking out for your best interest without doing it all just to keep the meter running. Sound too good to be true? You haven’t called Mr. Tuck yet. After all this time being his client, I trust him more than some in my own family. So, there you have it: trustworthy, ethical, experienced, extremely competent, informed, and fair in every way. He redeems all those “other” lawyers…you know who they are.

I was in an innuendo with my Home Purchase. We went through all the steps with due diligence since we have been on a contract. The Seller refused to sign on the day of the closing and went hiding. Not knowing what to do, I have been referred to Atty. Desmond Tuck. I will get to the point instead of adorning him with tons of adjectives, which he deserves by all means. Atty. Desmond was able to analyze and derive the possibilities within 30 minutes of the initial consultation. Without any delay he acted on my case putting a lis pendens on the property and getting ready to prepare the seller perform per the contract as per the law. i.e., Specific Performance through Arbitration. His letters to the opposite side was intransigent, coherent and extremely clear about what we are pursuing. He acted on the case promptly making the seller come out of the hideout and offering to pay damage for walking away from the deal. He negotiated on my behalf and obtained about 10% sales price of the purchase contract + all the out of pocket costs which included my escrow deposit, litigation costs, cost of inspection and appraisal. He made all that happen in a matter of 20 days. Here are few things that make him an outstanding lawyer. Plain fact and no gibberish. He does a due diligence in keeping you informed. I am an Engineer and so good with numbers. He derives possible outcomes of a litigation from his wealth of experience and intuition which tells me he has actually paid attention at his law school. He has the correct education and handles your case putting himself in your shoes. He possesses exemplary work ethics and he is an honest human being who would not just go by the texts. He will work with you and make a plan that is most appropriate for you. He will consider your limitation and take or advise steps that you would be comfortable with. He could have gone on with my case and make himself more money. But instead he advised me to full stop to it knowing my objective was not to deal with court but to find a suitable home. He worked towards helping my broker get his fees although he was under no obligation to put any effort there. In addition to that, he is a very approachable human being you would actually like to talk to and get to know as well. I could not be happier with his service. A top-notch lawyer and I would call him an Ideal Lawyer. Coming from a different country and culture, being with the top academic and professional peers in my life, it is definitely not difficult for me to attest to someone’s intelligence and quality. John Boessenecker was recommended to us by a law professor at San Francisco University School of Law. After consulting with John and a few other probate attorneys we decided he was the right person to handle my father’s estate that I was appointed co-executor over. Soon after opening probate it was discovered that my father never closed his father’s estate (1968) which made the situation extremely complicated. This meant that we had to open probate for my grandfather. When the judge looked the situation over she said it was one of the most convoluted cases she had ever seen. Step by step John methodically pieced together the order in which matters had to be executed to make things happen and happen smoothly. During this time I became the executor over my step-father’s estate (yes, pretty insane!) and of course there was no question who to use. That estate also had challenges as multiple beneficiaries were named in a will but John knew exactly what, when and how to handle each step. If anyone is a wiz at this stuff, it is him. I honestly don’t think we could have made it through those tough times without John and am please to give him five stars here. His talents, character and work ethics are what make him successful and it has been a pleasure to work with him.

Alex reviewed an employment contract for software development work that I was considering (I am a software developer). My company is based in another state, but the company I would work with was based in California.
Alex responded very quickly, and reviewed the contract promptly. He offered several insights into the contract that helped confirmed my suspicions about working with the company, and suggested a few courses of action I could take to protect myself should I still want to proceed with the contract.

She carefully reviewed the documents and gave me a lengthy opinion without even discussing money.
