They put you through an inital intake process which is positive. I wanted a quick end to my divorce and was happy to compromise to make it happen. Our goals seemed to align.
Unfortunately this firm provided poor council during the first phone call with the attorney. Luckily this did not lead to a financial move that would have put me in violation of a court order. Later the attorney wanted me to provide documentary evidence he had previously advised against in an aparent 180. Such documentation was previously claimed to put me in legal liability. What can I believe?
Very disappointing.
Divorce is tough enough. I hired an attorney becuase I am no legal expert and I wanted a quick, mediated end to my marriage. Instead I get bad and changing advice. Plenty of good reviews of these guys. Hope I'm an outlier.

We want to thank Hye Young Park and (Chris) Desmond Law for standing up for me and getting the ball rolling and my 2 son's home where they belong. I was dealing with false cps reports by scorn ex, my pierce county attorney (Fred Thorne) told me 2 file for dependency and left us right after...no attorney after case switched counties and my case stopped fell thru the cracks and into the system and to the bottom of the pile of 4 socal workers desks for a year.. Abandoned, Single Father, victim of DV with 5,6 y/o boys, kids in dependency due to not being able to keep them safe(from mom) and Hye Young Park accepted my impossible case and got the ball rolling and our nightmare was shortly over. In a matter of weeks Hye Young Park had my kids staying over nights and then their trial return home and then permanently home with their FATHER! Case dismissed! She was attentive, very professional, smart and she came at dcyf with a demanding force THANK YOU! MUCH RESPECT!

She is unprofessional and has no regard for clients. Not only does this woman overcharge for her services but does a very poor job of writing contracts. On top of this she disclosed all my finances to whoever inquired. I recommend to save yourself trouble and stay away from this lawyer. I will also be reporting her soon to the WA State Bar Association.

In addition to possessing strong technical skills, strategic instincts and a vast base of legal knowledge Jill has an innate ability to make difficult situations more manageable for everybody involved. Her calm and measured approach to problem solving is contagious and her concern for the well being of all participants obvious. Jill's counsel extends beyond matters of legality. When dealing with complex estate matters she is great at considering the needs and personalities of each of the family members involved. Her advice leads to good outcomes that leave our family members feeling personally satisfied in addition to professionally successful.
I would recommend her more strongly but do not want to share her services with any other clients.

I read the great reviews and am currently going to this lawyer to get my estate planning done. It is mid-March and my first meeting was in December and things are still not completed and I have no expected delivery date. I have a very simple estate. I'm not sure if this is the usual timeline for lawyers, but I think things are moving too slowly.
Also, beware to get fees clearly explained up front. I was told one thing on the phone; that the initial consultation was free. Then I received a bill for that service. My fault for not getting it in writing intially! Please learn from my mistake and protect yourself. I am trying to get the estate plan completed so that I can put that fee towards the total bill and have something to show for it instead of an expensive consultation that was supposed to be free and no estate plan.

When there were much bigger events in our lives and we needed an attorney she was there for us to show us exactly what we should do! That was over 10 years ago! I was introduced to Megaen through a colleague who had hired her for estate planning purposes and who'd highly recommended her.
Because estate planning involves very personal and emotional decisions, I wanted to make sure that my attorney wasn't just competent, but also empathetic and flexible to my and my family's specific needs. On my first call with Megaen, it was clear that I'd found someone who met all of my requirements and more.
Throughout the planning process, 3 things distinguished Megaen:
1. Megan clearly understands all the intricacies of estate law, but just as importantly, she explains things in a way that laypeople can understand. This is a huge help, particularly with something as important and nuanced as estate planning. As a husband and a parent, I want to make sure I understand all my options and exactly what I'm signing - Megaen always responded quickly to my requests and questions, and took all the time needed to explain everything in a way that gave me confidence in my decisions.

I came to Megaen for help handling my late aunt’s estate/probate. Megaen was willing to take on my case when others wouldn’t. I didn’t have the resources to pay up front so others refused to help me. For this reason, messy family issues I was dealing with regarding the estate, and the fact that I lived in southwest Idaho and my aunt’s estate was in Spokane, I was extremely stressed and overwhelmed when I came to Megaen. Megaen helped ease that and guide me through the messiness. In addition to the standard probate process she had to deal with senior abuse, financial abuse, family issues, theft & fraud, major financial mistakes made by a bank and their, etc, etc, etc. She handled all of this smoothly, efficiently, and very professionally. I honestly don’t know what I would have done without her. No words can truly capture how thankful I am for her and all that she did. I couldn’t have asked for anyone better. We retained Megaen Childress to assist us in separating from a family owned LLC without losing what legally belonged to us. The legal system is very complicated for a lay person and Megaen was able to answer a million questions and represent us through mediation and litigation successfully. She was very responsive to us and occasionally called back even on the week-ends when we were in need of immediate advice. Our situation was both contentious and complicated and not once did Megaen lose her cool, even in the face of threats. We are so happy to have accidentally discovered Jelsing Tri West & Andruss PLLC in Everett, where Mark Jelsing practices. We couldn't be happier with everyone. We went to the firm for a different matter, but when it came time to work on some estate planning, Mark was the best. As a recent graduate, when he didn't know an answer to something (we had a very complex situation involving multiple entities and states), he was able to get some advice from his dad, who is a founding member of the firm. Mark has been involved in this probate/estate case for nearly a year. I think I was one of his first clients. Boy did he get a good case to learn from! I became a widow after only 6 months of marriage and we had not taken care of wills, deeds, insurance, etc. So you can imagine the mess Mark had to try and get to the bottom of. I can say that through his diligence and my determination, I was able to save our home from foreclosure and after a year, was able to purchase our home from the bank. Oh, and by the way, the ex-wifes name was on the bank note, not the deed, but the bank didn't want to talk to me. Let me also include, to make matters worse, that the person named executor to our estate, nearly 12 years ago, was no longer fond of the deceased. It has been an uphill battle that is not finished, but, Mark has carried me with his determination, willingness to find the right path, forging ahead like a bulldog, and continues to move forward. This case is probably one of the most frustrating cases Mark will see in a long time, which could be the reason no other attorney I contacted was willing to take. Although the reason for needing an attorney is sad, Mark has worked hard to see the positive in everything he has done. He listened to my story with empathy and endured the many days of tears.
Thank You Mark for your professionalism, empathy hard work and enduring spirit.

I was involved in a collision with an uninsured motorist in Fall 2023. At the advise of a friend, I contacted Andrew Cherin to assist me with the claim mediation with both my auto insurance and my health insurance. He was able to claim me the maximum payout from my auto insurance, and got my health insurance to waive any reimbursement out of the auto claim! I am positive things would not have gone as well as they did without his help. I pray that I never need his services again, but for sure know that he's the one I would call if I do!

I always had confidence in Shad. He was patient in explaining to me all of the options, and the pro's and con's and expenses, upfront. The outcome of the Will dispute exceeded our expectations, and happened quickly and painlessly. I live in another state, and most of our communication was by e-mail.
My nephew changed my brother's Will ten days before my brother died. He claimed it was my brother's wish, but my children and I were certain that my brother did not know what he was signing. My nephew was my brother's Executor, his Trustee, and also a Beneficiary. According to my brother's original Will, written by an attorney, our older brother and I were to each have half of the estate. On the event of our older brother's or my death, our 1/2 was to be divided among our own children. Our older brother had died , so my nephew and his sister were to have 1/2 of my brother's estate, and I was to have the other 1/2. My brother talked about this Will a lot, to many people, because it gave him comfort.
The nephew's last-minute changes left me and my children a few thousand dollars, with the bulk of my brother's estate going to the nephew and his sister. People we talked to said this type of fraud is difficult to prove, because my brother's physical and mental capacities were in question--and we almost gave up. My Son-in Law is an attorney, and he contacted Shad in Washington, for me.
Shad discovered that the new Will had several flaws. (Sorry, I am still fuzzy on the specifics.) My nephew wrote the document as an amendment to my brother's Trust, yet it didn't properly amend the Trust, and it wasn't really a Will, either. This gave us the leverage we needed, and we challenged the Will. My nephew hired an attorney to represent him, and there were about three pairs of offers and counter-offers. In the end, I recovered over half of my share of my brother's estate.
Shad also discovered that, regardless of which Will held, I legally had inherited 1/2 of my brother's share in an oil company. I did not know this, and my nephew as Executor did not tell me this, and he had already wrongfully claimed full ownership for himself in company meetings. I used this 1/2 share in the negotiations. I did not value the oil company as highly as my nephew did, and I was actually glad to let it go.
I received a great deal more money than I had hoped for. The children and I feel good about the settlement, and we are glad we didn't prolong the dispute, by going to court. Thank you, Shad McOmber!

I originally hired Sean because a plumbing company had caused structural damages to floor joists during a renovation and they would not accept responsibility. What happened instead was Sean transferred me to Joe and the lawsuit lasted 2 1/2 years. We ended up going to arbitration and I won all damages but zero lawyers fees.
Incredibly frustrating experience.
I wouldn’t hire nor recommend them.

I worked with Will Reingold, Jr for my divorce, who was recommended to me by a friend. He was friendly and knowledgeable for a process that is painful for most. The guy always works and never seems to miss a beat. He is always on top of it and prioritizes to get things done/executed like you're his only client. He made efforts to resolve more complicated challenges like parental rights of embryos even though it's not his wheelhouse.
