I 100% agree with Mel. I gave my banking account number and was told they'd be a deduction on the 1st and the 15th of each month. (which I agreed) The problem is I was never told how much those withdrawals would be. My husband is a disabled veteran and only gets a check once a month. We never even appeared in court. The opposing attorney was not contacting my attorney for 4+ months, yet my balance was never known by me and was growing somehow. It wasn't until I requested a statement that I received a few through email. I have never once spoken to Peter on the phone. Although the attorney who was working with me was very nice, he told me he had no part in the billing. He told me it was Peter. Basically, I gave a $4500 retainer in case we needed to go to court, which we never did, and I never received regular monthly statements from Mr. Calabrese. Due to my experience with the billing of this attorney, I would NEVER recommend them. This morning I see an email saying he will not represent me any longer because of my large outstanding balance (which I knew nothing about). As soon as I emailed him, all of a sudden I receive all these statements. Lol! And a balance that was insane.
I agree with Mel. Do not sign any contract that involves giving your banking info out.
This is not ethical and I intend on reporting to the Bar. These are examples of bad practices. People are already hurting in bad land situations, and the last thing anyone needs is to be taken advantage of. Beware people! Read Mel's review, and others on several sites before you use this firm. If you don't believe me, read others.

I had one of the worst experiences with casey lundregan burns plc firm. I have hired them to represent me in a case which I had such a confidence in them thinking this company would do a good job by working on my behalf, at first they give me all the confidence I needed and in the end it was a disaster. They mislead me treated me in a bad manner by not replying to my emails. Neglect me most of the times and wasn't working in my interest. I wouldn't recommend this firm to no one at all, to all clients out there be very careful of this firm. Not a good firm, I have got a very bad experience from this firm.

Communicative, empathetic, persistent and professional
My mother passed away, predeceased by my father. The estate executor was not fulfilling their responsibilities, after over five years. I offered my assistance to the executor and was repeatedly rebuffed. After consulting with several friends, who are attorneys specializing in other areas of law, I was urged to hire an attorney who specializes in family law.
I immediately thought of Chris Casey, who I have known for many years. We are both members of the Salem Rotary Club. After meeting with Chris, and his associates, I knew I was in the right place. I immediately felt as if a huge weight had been lifted from my shoulders. I was assured they had handled many cases like this before and would be able to help me. They demonstrated great empathy throughout the process, which helped me get through this difficult time. I was apprised of the ongoing legal action through constant communication via email and phone.
The executor continued to be very uncooperative, but my attorneys were persistent. We were forced to go to trial. There were seven pretrial hearings and eventually, due to the uncooperative executor, a trial was needed. During the trial, my attorneys were amazing. The executor and their attorney were left speechless. The judge ruled in my favor on every contested issue. They handled my case with professionalism and achieved an outstanding result. They did such a great job, that I hired them to help me with another family issue concerning a property in Florida. This is an outstanding law firm. Do not hesitate to hire them for your case.

Eric is my go to attorney for real estate issues. I rely upon him to provide reasonable and effective strategies for dealing with real estate issues. I have consulted with him several times on commercial real estate lease issues. In each instance he suggested lease provisions which dealt appropriately with the issues and, where I had a tenant or its counsel insisting on terms I found unacceptable, Eric provided talking points which ultimately were successful in convincing the tenant or its counsel to abandon their position. I find the advice provided by Eric to be sound, well thought out and effective. I recommend him without reservation.

Ira has been fantastic! I reached out to him about an upcoming case. Due to the case being VERY soon (a few days) he was not able to take it on at the time (understandable, as it was very short notice). He did, however, spend a good deal of time talking me through the process, explaining possible options to take, what I could do to prepare, and possible outcomes. Today, I spoke with Ira regarding my mother's estate. After gathering some details he realized he wasn't able to be of assistance (due to the location of the estate) but was willing to point me in the right direction. Even when I became flustered and openly admitted "I don't know what I'm doing", Ira's response: "Let me help you". Without hesitation, he helped me, a complete stranger, navigate a very difficult time. Although I was unable to engage this law firm for its services, I can't recommend it enough.
