I started a case with Alvandi back in 2020 they dont communicate there has been little contact since case finished my check bounced and been almost impossible to know if I will get it they tell me a different story every time and if i call i have to say Im a new customer to speak with anyone. When I call employers they say the check is just sitting there and just needs someone at Alvandi to OK it, they also say the only way to get check is to go to there office. My shoulder still damaged and would be nice if I could pay rent and i dont know if I care anymore its going to have been going on almost 5 years later and I definitely think there office Is incompetent at there job and have horrible attitudes.

"We highly recommend that you speak with David L. Crockett before choosing an attorney for any estate or other legal matter.
The trust property we had to deal with had not been maintained and had fallen into severe disrepair. Everything from plumbing to electricity to the building exterior and plant overgrowth was on the list. We worked long hours trying to sort and clear years of clutter and accumulation, make repairs, keep up taxes utilities etc. We kept the records we thought were needed and useful in developing a plan for progress.

Our struggles dealing with the trust were steadily moving beyond our abilities to resolve; we realized that we definitely needed help. Also we ourselves, as time passed, were contributing to our need for resolution.

Day One, I was scared and beyond afraid. Marybeth Halloway has helped me come a long way. My ex and I finalized our divorce in 2016. We only went to court 1 time. Custody- done in a few hours, TRO- done, she made sure to expressed what I wanted in the final round. She's not someone who can be pushed around. She's a strong force. She knows the OC courts very well and has the best bench manners. She's very well established and she's taken seriously. I was lucky to have her be the 2nd phone call I made as I was googling an atty. I got lucky. She is usually busy, bcs that's how good she is. I referred a friend of mine also 2 years ago. It was a bit difficult for him because there was somewhat of a language barrier, but he was very happy with the final divorce also. Be sure to know exactly what you want and she will help you. She was there for me all around the clock. She restored my faith in people i when my heart was shattered. She will tell you exactly how it is and will not candy coat anything. I only consulted with them on the phone but right away they wouldn't take my case, I have since lost the legal ability to get any kind of justice for the wrongful things that were done to me by the members of the law enforcement representatives here in my community because these attorneys are like so many others here in CA, everything has taken a back seat to paying the rent and keeping the lights on. Or to impressing their neighbors, no one is worried about what is right and what is wrong they just want money and that's all they seem to care about, so if you are looking for an attorney that will really fight for you and help you don't expect these people to do it, unless you have lots of money to pay them. Andy assisted me in two matters. The first primarily involved his paralegals researching a tax issue with a government agency. His staff worked efficiently to solve the mystery and the issue was resolved. The fees seemed reasonable and it was a great experience.
The second was a commercial lease review and negotiation. Dealt primarily with Andy. His comments were very useful - he is clearly very experienced and knowledgable regarding these leases. He did, however, make me feel a bit like he was fitting me in, and he shuffled my lease to another attorney temporarily while he had bigger fish to fry. In general, he was polite on the phone and not difficult to speak with.
The fees seemed high - I've worked leases with other attorneys and not seen such high fees - and I asked him to review the fees and see if they could be adjusted at all. I was very polite and praised him effusively, and said even if the fees could not be adjusted, I would simply appreciate being informed in the future when fees were heading north of a couple grand. We are a small cost-conscious startup and I thought he would understand. He responded sarcastically and angrily that I must not know the cost of good legal advice, and that he doesn't want to work with me going forward. He did offer a credit. I did value his advice and would have happily paid the full invoice if he felt so strongly in the fees. To me, they just lacked a bit of value. I responded apologetically and offered an olive branch, but received another haughty message in response. I've worked with 4 other attorneys (none of them RE specific), a couple of them being very prominent attys in their fields, and never felt value lacking or been treated this way. It was a very unpleasant way to be treated and an unpleasant experience in general. I would not wish any of my friends or colleagues to be treated this way, regardless of his expertise.

We hired Mr. McElfish to evaluate corporate tax issues. We explained that we were on a rigid timeline in order to make decisions concerning an impending liquidity event. He boasted about how socially connected he is. The work product did not address our specific concerns and the tax conclusions were dubious. A significant retainer was eaten up without explanations. Access to McElfish was also difficult.

I did not have a good experience with this lawyer. I felt as though my case was a low priority until it came time to collect his money. I feel his fees were way out of line for this type of case and the amount of time he put into it. When I confronted him on his exorbitant fees, he became what I perceived as angry, defensive and threatening. I would not recommend this lawyer to anyone.

This attorney is only concerned with billing. He is motivated by his own self interest. He does unnecessary work. He could have resolved the case early on for a small amount. He counseled against it and insisted upon preparing the case for trial (expensive). By the time he counseled trying to settle, I had paid out more (to him) than the other side would have taken early on. Plus, with the added expenses and disclosure of more information, the other side demanded more $$$,.
